- Howdy partners! This episode, we travel back to the wild west to experience a SpongeBob SquarePants game based on a very special episode!
I was intending to make the 2008 video next, but ran into some technical difficulties. So I figured I'd do this silly little one instead. Should be out sometime next week!

Fun fact: the Dutch dub somehow decided to keep the trend of having these special episodes have two names. Pest of the West's episode title card was changed to "Sherrif SpongeBuck". 😆
In the opposite effect, if I recall correctly, the Japanese dub consistently kept one of its names for WhoBob WhatPants?, but again I might be wrong
The music in the game was really good. Even I was one of the people to play it.

I loved playing Pest of the West! I was an expert lassoing the seahorse and breaking free from the tracks. But the casino, horse pulling, and horse riding were challenging games
I was hyped for this episode as a kid because the promotional poster has SpongeBob wearing a hat that looks like Indiana Jones’ and the color grading also looked like an Indy poster. A bit underwhelming when he only wore a bowler hat for the whole episode, but I watched the hell out of it anyways.

I came for the classic Spongebob Flash games I grew up with, I stayed for the amazing world building and ongoing plot. Keep up the great work!

Would you support Nick selling a collection of every free Spongebob browser game in one place.(so none of the Nick Arcade stuff, just the flash and HTML games).
Like, as a full price retail sale, but it would include everything and come with a new online leaderboard, so people could compete over high scores across like 150 games.
While I never played the Flash game, I definitely remember POTW and all the hype that surrounded it! Seeing it when it premiered was a huge deal to me. And hey, I had a few of those POTW Burger King toys too! I think they're still in a box somewhere in my basement.
Also, dig the mini Stone Temple Pilots cover at the end. That was a cool little surprise.
Those fast food collabs were always so much fun to me. Lots of memories of trying to collect as many of the toys as I could.

This always reminded me of the Nicktoons Mini Game Mania games. Those were a lot of fun.
i played this game soo much with my brother as a kid but it was so anxiety inducing and stressful sometimes. especially the seahorse riding one 💀 i swear i've never completed that one in my life he always throws me off when the timer is full

Hey Luci what did you use to play the oldest spongebob games from circa 2000? I find them only as shockwave something files instead of flash.
I often use Flashpoint or NuMuki! I believe all the ones I covered from that era were on them.

Yeah 😆That was one of my first reviews and I had a whole bit about how Polly used to make me angry as a kid. It felt appropriate to have her be the leader when the game villains rallied together.

How do you play these old web games? I've been wanting to explore some childhood games but I'm not sure how
A lot of them are available on Flashpoint! It's a program I use for most of these.
