I never thought I would see a short format bow with a full draw. It is refreshing to see you enjoying the products.

When I first started with Asiatic Archery...I was convinced that I wanted something compact and also powerful. After exploring the short sipahi style bows, I became curious about the longer drawing bows. Armin once told me there is something magical about the long draw experience. I still love my short draw, compact yet powerful, sipahi style bows, as they too possess a magical quality... different, but also magic.
However, I find myself magnetized by the long draw magic! For me, archery is not only a fun sport of perpetual self improvement...but it is primarily a utilitarian tool of purpose. As a hunter, the forgiving nature and consistent accuracy of longer drawing bows creates a relationship based on reliability. Precise shot placement is an absolute necessity for the humane hunter. Both of these bows gleam with the essence of genuine quality. And while the longer drawing version would better suit my personal needs... I cannot say that the shorty is not also very tempting. They both look like FUN!!!❤
    As always,
    WONDERFUL REVIEW ARMIN! 😊

Hey great right up, I’m beginning archery here and still researching. Also a hunter so looking into bows that would be great for that, which of all the traditional bows do you like the most for hunting that are long draw and compact than the usual modern day recurves you find now

@maktomabdulrahman3933 For the last few years I have been hunting with a bow built by Istvan Szimeiszter (Szimeiszter Bows, from Hungary). I own all of the Asiatic Traditional bows that he builds, except for his Mongolian bow (which I also plan to buy in the future.)
I hunt with his Horse Bow. This is my first choice and primary hunting bow. It is the shortest (nock to nock) bow that he currently offers. Yet it can be drawn to 33 in! It is very reasonably priced, even with international shipping costs considered. The Horsebow feels as light as a feather in your hand, making it a dream to carry for a long hunt. It is powerful and fast, casting heavier hunting arrows arrows at very respectable speeds! It is super quiet too! Most importantly, for hunting considerations, this bow is very accurate! It is short enough to be easily maneuverable in dense forest brush, but long enough to be very forgiving and provide precise accuracy. I own two of them. Istvan made my second Horsebow with a custom request for a higher draw weight than he normally builds. (My hunting Horsebow pulls 65 lbs at full draw). You can watch a great review by Armin on RUclips, during his Malta Archery days. (Just search for "Modified Turkish Bow by Istvan Szimeiszter). I own a LOT of different Traditional Asiatic Bows built by many different talented bowyers. Many of the bows I compare with the Horsebow are priced quite a bit higher...and so far, I still like this one THE BEST for hunting. It is a truly impressive little bow! Wishing you all the best with your Adventures in Archery!

Well said Armin. Good thorough useful review of these 2 awesome Nawalny's. I have started an order for a mini few days ago ! Can't wait to try it mounted.

Both seem like awesome bows. The materials used in the build are really eye catching

I'm deciding on a long draw bow first, I'm six foot tall with about 30 to 33 inch draw, that lock in draw for long accurate shots is great but that short bow does look like some fun for sure! In the weapon practicality side of it all,, a long bow would be best for open areas where the short bow would be very good for closed area's, inside buildings especially. Just like a sword, long sword outside, short sword inside. .

What a life to live, to be able to have this experiment with 2 great bows. I don't own either, but if I could choose one, I'd choose the mini version. Just to experience it. Great video as always.

For half of the price I would love to have both! But I would order the Xerxes with painting and so on, so I will end up at 800 or 900€… two of them would be too much for me, too. As you have said, I have long draw bows, but not many mini bows, so I will choose the Xerxes mini…
Thank you so much for the nice comparison, dear Armin! ☺️🙏🙏

A bow in between these 2 sizes with a maximal F value seems ideal!

If I was a dedicated hunter, I think I'd go for the mini. The highly skilled hunters that I know shoot from very close range and find that they are often so close that the movement of drawing the bow is noticed by the deer. Sometimes they cannot draw at all without startling the prey! The shorter draw and shorter bow might be helpful for them.
I believe this is why some hunter gatherer cultures shoot very short bows held sideways.
I wish I could afford one of these bows! I'm not sure which one I would choose!

So how about Xerxes (long one) vs Buryat from Vegh? :) They seem to serve the same purpose: long draw bows for shooting lightweight arrows with precision (on a 3d parkour or wherever). And their shapes have also a lot in common :)

Do you find short bows to be more inaccurate? Mine feels far more sensitive to small mistakes in my technique.
