jessica hull is a true class act. 😍

I remember When Jessica left Australia and joined the squad at Oregon. She puts on this beautiful face when she's running. No sign of stress, even on a world record run.

St. Pierre. What a locomotive! On a mission, for sure.

I love that title you gave her, Locomotive! You may not know how true that really is. She grew up in a county on the border of Canada in Vermont. I grew up Jefferson County, New York, also on the Canadian border. My grandmothers were French-Canadian. Purrier and St. Pierre also ring of names from Quebec. Both our homes raise dairy cattle. I know the drill very well. Get up at 4:30 AM and milk the cows, in the winter load up a truck with hay bales and bust them open out in the field to feed the cattle every day. Lots of chores before and after school every day.
Picture Elle Purrier cranking a cross-country run every day after school, and a XC meet about once a week. You're right. She is a Locomotive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good race and pretty fast. BTW....whoever the female commentator is for this race does a great job always. Should know her name, but only recognize the voice. Excited but controlled and always with some good insight. "grats to her AND the runners.

When I saw Hull in the lineup, I thought there's your winner. I was wrong!

As a former runner, coach and pyro/fireworks professional, I want to say, we are runners, we compete in the most natural and "down-to-earth sport, we don't need or want "spectacle effects/pyro" at our competitions. Save the"show biz" for the Superbowl-for the casual sports fan.

I think they should give the runners a little bit more time to recover before making them take a trophy and pose for pictures. They have spent every ounce of energy their bodies have. Give them a little space.

Wow. Considering that Hull just barely pipped her at their last race, this is a pretty amazing win. Also, St Pierre just had a baby recently so that pregnancy, birth, and just having to care for a newborn in general has certainly wreaked havoc with her training schedule and her body over the past 12 to 18 months. Plus... she now has bigger milk jugs to contend with... probably the largest of any other runner on the track in this event.

Think St Pierre can win at Worlds.
