Its really damn good. And hearing slash play a ton of these songs on the Not In This Lifetime Tour has been amazing. Finally hearing Slash play it was life fulfilling in 2023.
Saw Gnr in fall of 2002 with buckethead as the guitarist. The new songs really popped with him playing, you could tell he had input in writing them. That being said. I've heard Slash play most of Chinese Democracy live and his bluesy rhythm absolutely slays these songs.
The only original members on this record were only Axl Rose and Dizzy Reed. Slash (the guitarist) and Duff (bassist) left around 96 and they reunited in 2016. It's still a great album and a great track.
Possibly the best track off the album. But close 2nd and 3rd are Madagascar and Prostitute....and This I Love....and Better and street of dreams, come to think of it the whole album is terrific lol. Hopefully see some of these as reactions Subscribed just for this song 👍
@@diggz691 I'm not dissing the old stuff, in fact I think that estranged has gnrs greatest riff - by slash. As for their greatest song it could be anyone of a dozen tracks. My favorite is dust and bones
Yo interpreto que axl le está reprochando siertas situaciones a la chica, entonces por momentos sube y baja el todo de voz, tal como una discusión genuina . Es una canción que cada día amo mas.
Still can't find anybody in real life who will agree with me that this album is red fucking hot, other than online. I get the whole "that's not GNR" and "there's no Slash" blah blah blah, but imo this is better. Slash is great but he isn't Buckethead, plus Finck, plus Bunblefoot! Honestly, this album is my favourite GNR album and I'm unashamed to say that. This song has arguably my favourite guitar solo. So emotional and powerful! The album itself is still steeped in mystery. There are parts where you have to use your ear to decipher which guitar it is. The album credits certain guitarists but I believe Buckethead was the most influential in the earlier 2000s and a lot of his work ended up on most of the tracks? Someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that. I would love to hear the Village Tapes if anybody has a link to these? There were a bunch of leaks, again in the mid 2000s before Chinese Democracy ever even came out, but I cannot find them for the life of me.
Great job with your reaction and thoughts on There Was A Time from Guns and Roses of The Chinese Democracy Album .My Favorite song off it would be Madagascar.
I think if I recall correctly, Bucket Head recorded the lead guitar on the album and toured with them initially, then eventually left the line up to be replaced by Bumblefoot, Robin Finck, DJ Ashba. A plethora of other musicians also came and went over the years. I read it was the most expensive album recorded to date by any artist, but I'm not sure how accurate that is. It took 20yrs to produce or something long like that anyway.
This album gets a lot of hate but I think there's some good tracks on there and this is one of them. I've got a suggestion, Band-Maid's with the video for their instrumental track "From Now On". They opened for Guns N' Roses last month.
Most including myself have it no listen. I just gave it a chance last year and can’t stop listening too it. Great album and this is prthe Best GNR Song period.
It’s definitely a different album u can tell one of the many main reasons why slash and duff left in the mid to late 90s because at the time axl was in a completely different element and his music direction was completely different than slash and duff. It’s sad that axl actually has 2 more Chinese type albums worth of material sitting around that probably won’t see the light of day Chinese democracy was supposed to be a trilogy
This album is Just Axl and some guys. Not really GNR how we got to know them in the late 80s and early 90s. It is a good album though I think some of the songs sounds better in the demo versions.
@@beeroreacts the demo versions are awsome mate.. they are not overproduced like i feel some of this album is, so they sound more like early 90s rock. 😊
Axl Rose - lead vocals
Robin Finck - lead guitar, guitar solo (04:58-05:40)
Buckethead - lead guitar, guitar solo (05:41-07:38)
Bumblefoot - guitar
Paul Tobias - guitar, piano
Richard Fortus - guitar
Tommy Stinson - bass, background vocals
Dizzy Reed - keyboards, background vocals, orchestral arrangement, synth orchestra
Chris Pitman - keyboards, bass (additional)
Josh Freese - drum arrangement
Brain - drums, drum arrangement
Frank Ferrer - drums
that i so nice! thank you very much!
The most underrated album in the last 30 years. Not joking.
GNR forever!
For me is the best album of this era.
Shockingly under-appreciated !! Takes a massive dump on everything that's been out in at least the last two decades.
Just discovered ( gave it a chance Finally! ) a year ago. 4-5 masterpiece songs on the Album this is probably the Greatest GNR Song Period.
Its really damn good. And hearing slash play a ton of these songs on the Not In This Lifetime Tour has been amazing. Finally hearing Slash play it was life fulfilling in 2023.
the entire final guitar solo is from one of the greatest guitarists "Buckethead"
oh, thank you! i should have done my homework, i saw him live, back in 2011 as member if guns n roses! fantastic guitar player!
Buckethead wasn't playing in 2011, that might have been Bumblefoot. Bucket has that interesting mechanical repeated note sound.
AND Robin Finck!

Youre one of the few who react to this album...and really enjoy it....thanks :..I love that album.
Better and There Was i time, my favorite songs of this album.
Amo ese tema
... first time i heard it via leaked track in 2006 i seriously wept.
Album is a masterpiece….guitar work is incredible
Hell no....
Just no...

thank you so much!
Except Dizzy isn't an "original" member
@FJBidephile well he's not a replacement, so that makes him an original.
Probably the best GNR track ever.
Possibly the best track off the album. But close 2nd and 3rd are Madagascar and Prostitute....and This I Love....and Better and street of dreams, come to think of it the whole album is terrific lol. Hopefully see some of these as reactions
Subscribed just for this song 👍
thank you so much, james! got it, will do it, stay tuned!
4-6 great songs on this album 3 -4 are Masterpieces
Sorry slash but this is gnrs greatest solo
greatest GNR song period!
I agree but you CAN'T deny that all slash's solos are masterpieces on gnr old stuff
@@marinadiamondz I won’t argue that either. Gnr my favorite band. Love all the old stuff
@@diggz691 I'm not dissing the old stuff, in fact I think that estranged has gnrs greatest riff - by slash. As for their greatest song it could be anyone of a dozen tracks.
My favorite is dust and bones
@@voodoochile333 I was agreeing with you. This is the greatest solo of gnr and best display of axls vocals
Hearing Slash play these solos live was life changing. Best GNR song ever. This is the best rock song ever written.
On the studio version, the outgoing solo at 4 :24 is Buckethead.
It's not Robin Finck ,not Bumblefoot

Melhor música desse álbum 😍😍😍
5:40 this is Buckethead
4:20 this is Robin Finck
I don't know about4:20 ,
BUT I DO KNOW at 4:24 its Buckethead
Probably the most unknown and one the greatest Songs of Rick Genre. Masterpiece.
Rock Genre.

thank you very much! madagascar, i will listen to that!
The demos to all these songs are way better than the album versions.
true
Really? Wow I’ll have dog those up. Thanks

Ps: Very good reaction

The leaked demo was better but this is still fire
My fave from this record is “If the World “ and that’s DiCaprios fault..Movie was trash, song was fire
