The issue for Tatum is that Team USA is a "specialty team." They utilize players who have very specific traits. While Tatum is, in fact, a great player who is good at everything, he is not great at any one thing compared to his teammates. It feels like everybody has a distinct role because they each do something special. That and seniority is keeping him on the bench. We got 3rd Team All NBAers and no team All NBAers getting the nod over Tatum.

Lets assume that Kerr and his assistant coaches were right, and the gameplan didn't favor Tatum - we were still up by 26 when the game ended. You're telling me there was no garbage time where we can rest the guys who built that lead? Yes, I understand that there are only 200 minutes but a DNP in a blowout win is bad coaching and it's inconsiderate of who Tatum and Haliburton are as professionals. Imagine if, god forbid, one of our veterans was injured in that garbage time where all we needed was points for a differential.
