I think skip stays pretty objective about guys. He thinks Lebron is great but not is good as Jordan, so people perceive him pointing out lebrons weaknesses as disrespectful in the goat debate weirdly. Lebron not being as good as the greatest ever isn’t disrespectful. Same with Pippen. Pippen was great but had weaknesses in terms of being the leader of a championship team. Not disrespectful.

I hope you understand that this is not a game of one on one. You don't guard Curry like how you guard the other players. You have to run and run and a 1 second mistake will cost 3 points. That alone would destroy 1992 defense because they have never faced a team with Curry in it. Now when you think Curry is the problem, you have KD and Lebron who are 6'9 motherfuckers who could shoot anywhere in the court. Now pair it with AD and Embid or just Embid and Tatum. That 92 team will be destroyed in defense and offense transitions

Honestly people I'm 1 minute and 38 seconds into video. MJ, John Stockton, Scottie pippen, Karl marlone and David Robinson are defensive the front court and back court locked up. You can't say that for team USA. Both teams got a lot of talent but team USA lacks in defense they can't guard Jordan, Scottie, Malone, Stockton and Clyde there is always a mismatch.

@@leonaldzeus3102 1996 was older than 1992 with 8 guys 30 or older. Shaq was a top center in 1995-96 but not as dominant as his Lakers run. David Robinson and Hakeem Olajuwon each dropped at least 30 on him. I don't think a 30-year-old Embiid (1 year removed from an MVP season) would be destroyed by 24-year-old Shaq.
People forget that players like Bird and Johnson impact the game in multiple ways - Bird doesn't have to score and neither does Johnson. Johnson was the point guard, and Bird was the point forward. If anyone remembers, the two were strategically placed on different USA team line ups during the Olympic games.

@@The3Watcher Just look at the weak spots the '24 team had; they were sloppy with the ball against tough defense, they didn't rebound well (AD can't do it all), and they weren't particularly strong against physical teams and got pushed around a lot. Yes, the '24 team is going to shoot 3's but they will absolutely live and die by the 3 because they won't get many second shots. The Dream Team had all-time great defensive players that would have given the '24 team fits and they'd have committed a ton of turnovers (worse than against Serbia and France). The FIBA rules and officiating also favored the Dream Team in allowing more physical play.
I watched every game USA played during the Olympics and enjoyed watching the current greats play by more conventional rules. A game would be amazing, but I'd have to give the edge to the '92 team based on what I actually saw and not the speculation these guys were going on.

When the 92 team slows the game down and forces today's team to play a half court game and the bigs start playing with they back to the basket, what type of defense is today's team going to bring to stop that? And coaching has to go to the 92 team because they would actually coach different schemes for the team to combat what today's team would throw at them. Steve Kerr and those guys are scared to coach these guys because of their egos and how much money they make. I just think that coaching and defensive prowess and toughness would give the 92 team a slight edge.

The brother played 3 18 holes of golf back to back before playing a matchup game. GOLF requires next level concentration, and the holes were smaller, three points would have been a cinch.

They are all great players, the '94 and the '24. The '24 may have more offense, but the '92 have better defense. These new players don't play defense, and we all know defense wins games. The main difference is that the Dream Team are tougher and grittier. Magic guarding Lebron talking trash, Scottie guarding K.D. Jordan guarding Stephen... They would talk trash and play them tough all the time and break them mentally. And if it comes close, who's going to take the last shot ? Lebron, K.D., Stephen or Jordan. who do you rather have ??? And when you have Jordan on your side with his Killer Instinct he won't let you down.
