These videos remind me how much I need to stop overthinking art😭 like i really need to stop over polishing the base sketch bc that will eventually come just last
I forget what youtuber said this, but they something along the lines of “all art has an “ugly” phase, just keep going it will look way better” and honestly that changed my perspective completely and it’s so true
Do what you like... I mean if you like to trace the lineart/final over your sketch and you need it to be exact then do so, if you want to so messy sketch like this and won't have trouble "adding details" later then its good too
i've been drawing for 4 years, faces and heads are supposed to be the thing one learns first and should "master" at this point, but somehow i always manage to struggle one way or another. to me, they're the hardest thing to draw, but seeing you draw them helps me a lot, and since i've started watching your videos i have improved a lot and they're not so hard to draw as they used to be. thank you
As art is the outer expression of the artist, you can also some that the artist themselves carry that confidence with them. Cultivate confidence by improving your art. I just found that out and it's helping a lot. Best of luck
Yo same, my problem is that when I draw, I always want it to look "perfect" right away, which I now know is a mistake and I should be focusing on getting the fundamentals to be right
it’s literally ridiculous how much this just helped me, omg, i’m always over complicating my art when i start drawing and simplifying it when i begin sketching like this helped me so much
I never tried drawing because I thought it was a natural gift I wasn’t born with, but what I realized is many of the amazing drawings you see are made with patience and erasers
I know some people don’t find things like this particularly helpful, but as a more advanced perhaps intermediate artist, it’s simple things like watching the subtle variations in other artists’ processes that can teach you some new tricks. The part before any details are added is seriously the most important thing. Beginners struggle to believe it once they see detail.
That reminded me of the times, when I was overthinking every sketch. But nowadays, I feel really confident and I sometimes don’t even need to erase more than two little things. ( I love drawing / art) (sad story I am a perfectionist haha )
Accidentally stumbled upon your channel and couldn’t be anymore grateful for the tips! Your tips on the base of a face by far is the simplest and the best one! Thank you for sharing, hope to see you fly high in your art career!
This is the greatest tutorial. Its so easy to follow and the simple face trick works so well. I'm drawing better than I would have thought. Thanks for this tutorial.
I dun been doin it all wrong for almost 2 years Turns out a realistic face you draw a circle and half of that yo draw a line under the circle and here its the whole circle tha face. Thank you i finally get it
This is very informative for new artist when me personally draw realistic and realism i sometimes finding the right shapes. Art is just shapes with complex details
The eyes and lips are really beautiful and the hair looks so soft and elegant! Her expression seems so aloof and wise. Your pencil strokes are so confident. Your drawing has sooo much personality despite being so simple. The way you draw and your drawings are very inspiring 😯☺️🥰
Just a bit reminder: You don't have to follow the exact of this drawing (unless you want to). This is more like a tip to draw head so it'll be easier for you as a guide to drawing head.
I hate the fact that I’ve only ever drawn fully detailed from the beginning. On one hand, not smudgy from lead but it has taken me 6 years to be able to draw freely without any pencil circles and lines. That’s 6 years of persistently detailed drawing and it’s been one hectic rollercoaster. It’s paid off though! Somewhat 😆
My art teacher use to say get something down on paper as an indicator for where things should go, even if its just a line or two. Make sure your proportions are okay and then go into details
First step : *takes 2 minutes to learn* OK BREATHE DEEPLY Second step : *take years of practice for details* Thanks for watching guys ☺️ Hope you guys make it
You don't need a step by step tutorial for drawing, return to the fundamentals, start with lines, and then the three basic shapes in organic life, boxes, cylinders and spheres, draw these, draw a ton, try to take perspective into account. Move on to looking at standard objects and breaking them down into these three dimensional shapes, without filling in details, start to learn to see shapes, fail miserably, but continue to observe and mark what you did wrong. Heads are just a series of shapes, study them and observe them, break down the shape of the skull and draw lightly. Look into the Loomis method, reiley method, and so on. This is the path to progressing, this is the path that will show improvement beyond any step by step. Drawing requires you to learn to see, it's up to you!
Best tutorial ever! I liked this and I made it and the way he explained how to draw a face without telling us in the easiest way ever! Imma subscribe this channel
The strokes of the pencil... So smooth and confident. Cant wait to get to this level 💜
I'm at this level with face but with face only 😂 so face is easy peezy and looks good and body and everything else.... Uhm
Same
I love your pfp and username
I wouldnt say the lines are straight though but good nonetheless
That's great, if you wait you won't get anywhere
You know someone has been doing art for a long time when even their rough outlines look better than your attempt
