I was thinking the exact same thing. The face drawing he drew still has proportion but isn't too realistic making it less challenging.

interesting trick for flipping the paper! I knew digital artists did this a lot by flipping the canvas, never even thought about a traditional application!
Holding the sketch up to a mirror does the trick for me at a distance where I can survey it better. It's wild

Before I got to know about ur channel, I was obssesed with the idea that all my drawing had to carry with them all the details from the reference photo. Now, I'm aware that, ocassionaly, the abundance of details doesn't mean a lot; what really means and matters, is the way I can portrait my fellings in the paper, and give life to my drawings with some lines. It’s been a couple of months of all kinds of drawing and I’m just now starting to view portrait photos as a collection of circles and curved lines. It helps to see & think this way.

Her head seems slightly more tilted to the right than the reference photo but still beautiful. I think that’s why I’m seeing the profile of the right side of her face a little different that the reference. See the point of the cheekbone and the dip of the jaw in cheek line. I love this. I saw two years ago post from you, and the caption you put in there is "I hope this video make you want to draw" and you inspire me to draw, now i bought sketch pad 1 pen and pencil, I still don't know the other equipment, I really wanted to learn croquis arts, I want to impress my self.
If you haven't already, get some graphite pencils. You can buy a kit that includes everything you need such as eraser, smudging stumps, charcoal, etc...
