Minneapolis Funk is my FAVORITE genre ever. Prince, The Time, Morris Day, Janet, S.O.S, Alexander O'Neal, Cherelle, Sheila E, The Jets to a point, New Edition, Apallonia, Vanity 6, the band Human League even played around with them for a hot second. That was a special era in music that will NEVER be replicated.

Interviewer is surprisingly knowledgable, like a fan, and asks actually good questions.
That's surprising because you look at him and you might expect an uptight white guy from that suit.

Yup, gotta give the host his due, he held court and asked some great questions that weren't the usual dreck like "SO HOW DOES IT FEEL TO SELL A MILLION RECORDS???!!!"

Remixing Diamonds?? Didn't Diamonds come out in like 89/90??? I'm confused, is there another version out there that we haven't heard??

Yep. Diamonds was released after"Let's Wait Awhile". In fact, A&M records delayed the release of "The Pleasure Principle" to not interfere with the success of"Diamonds".

They were probably doing a remix to get the song on different radio formats
