I just got the Seltos. The dashboard has this mpg digital gauge that gets very confused when you still have low mileage on the car. When I bought the car it had 7 miles on it. Killing it! This is probably my favorite now from Kia the Teluride is a bit too big for me and I wasn't a fan of that 3.8 not that fuel efficient and not fast either.

And when you don’t need the back seats you can fold them easy. Also driving it is fun. ✌️
One of the vehicles I drive for work is a 2018 Toyota Highlander but FWD...! It has a V6, and just like this Sorento, it's ALWAYS dangerously spinning its front wheels, even with light throttle inputs. 😅 It's too bad because it has a really powerful and smooth engine.

Another thing with the new uvo system. You can set your heated or cooled seats and temp all by your phone with remote start. Also something unique is when you do remote start you no long have to hit the start button once you get in
I have been obsessed with the Aruba Green/Rust Leather interior combo since Kia announced the new Sorento in September! I put down a deposit for this exact trim yesterday and it should be delivered in January. I'm already excited but this video just makes me that much more sure of my choice.
Kia has been doing excellent with their new vehicles. They nailed it once again. My only concern is that there is no heated seats in the back. I would like to see that in 2022.
I'm a Ford guy. But Kia is nailing it with new cars right now. Although powertrain options could be better. Kia has the right idea to include 3rd in this segment. Everyone should do that.
Unfortunately they are not options here in the US, I went to the dealership to check the highest SX Prestige trim and it does not have those features. Weird choice not to include them.
@@fredparker3384 I’m sorry but you’re mistaken. The X-Line trim level in the US market does not have these features you can upgrade for a form of ambient lighting as an option but not the way you see it in other countries markets.

Differentiator between your and other reviews is we get to know what other cars have or havent in same segment. Good, keep innovating presentation. I enjoyed when you took turn and felt that you would laugh and you did :D And yes, yours was pre-prod model.
Ugh I was really looking forward to this. But the fact that they axed a 2-row, or at the very least a benched 3-row in the SX really kills it for me. Why does America always screw up importing vehicles/motorcycles.
My wife and I test drove the Sorento Xline and then immediately went to Hyundai and test drove the Santa Fe Limited. Liked them both, but we noticed the Santa Fe had less wind noise and a much softer ride. I figure the reduced wind noise may be due to the laminated side windows on the Santa Fe. The Sorento only has the windshield laminated. Any idea why the Sorento has such a noticeably harsher ride? The Sorento is on 20 inch tires, while the Santa Fe had 19 inch tires. The Sorento offers 19 inch tires, but we like the options on the Xline trim. Is it possible the tires make that much of a difference?
@@gasstation405 okay but, significantly more torque = less towing? That makes no sense. If the old one could tow 5k, this can easily tow that, if not more.

That green with brown interior is top tier!
Looking at recent designs offered by KIA, I can say Karim Habib is doing great job as the head of KIA design team.
But , but , kia is known for pretending to look like a Audi.
Is that guy karim the one that used to be with Audi ?
Damn, that blue is stunning wish it came in the high end model! Also, like the exhaust better on the blue.
That blue is SICK! I love blue though 🤷🏻♂️
Blue is hands down the best color. Want bench seat in middle row.
As Soyfan mentioned several times, very surprised they don't have memory seats for a 45k vehicle. The older Sorrento had them. Makes no sense.
Nice to see Sofyan wearing his Roots jacket again. 😊🇨🇦
My personal opinion that third raw should be added as an option (upgrade).
That's how VW does it. But you can always simply leave it folded down.
Seems like you had more fun driving the FWD version lol. Nice review!
I really want this vehicle. It’s gorgeous!
I like this redesign a lot, but I wish they hadnt decreased the towing capacity from 5k to 3.5k. That’s an unfortunate step in the wrong direction.
Get the Telluride for that. They don't want to step on its toes.
@@gasstation405 okay but, significantly more torque = less towing? That makes no sense. If the old one could tow 5k, this can easily tow that, if not more.
@@jakes5530 The old one was a naturally aspirated V6. Power delivery is completely different. Spec sheets don't tell the whole story. Also, it's a completely different chassis then the old one, which was designed at a time when the Telluride didn't exist.
@damianraver guess people will trade their boats for a couple waverunners if they buy this sorento.
@@gasstation405 maybe the chassis and transmission are just weak as hell in this new one.
Having a turbo is not a reason to decrease tow ratings. Just look at the f150’s best in class ratings with their ecoboost.
Great car. However I also agree - memory seats are a must, rear heared seats, and some tasteful ambience lights would make it perfect - Kia are you listening?
They are listening. The probable reason that they don’t is because the Telluride exists.
@@keithgatzke5390 That makes no sense, since even my 2016 Sportage has heated rear seats.
@@GOINFINITI the Telluride didn't exist in 16.
@@keithgatzke5390 What does that have to do with anything? I just told you that I have Sportage wich is half of Sorento price equipped with rear heated seats. So the cheapest kia SUV has it and Sorento does not????
@@GOINFINITI In 2016, they had no reason to not put heated seats in the rear. In 2019 they had the Telluride, so they moved those features upward in the lineup.
I am in love with Korean suvs and sedans but the thing I hate is the depreciation
Still don’t have the build quality or brand recognition of the Japanese. But have come a long way!!
Not as good as Toyota that's why...
@@personalfunfest Kia has more and better models than Toyota and Honda. Reliability doesn’t matter with new cars unless you’re Scotty Kilmer
Definitely got my eye on the Plug-in. Can't wait for it to hit the market. Hoping to see you make a review on that one as well when its out.
Great video. I'm not holding my breath, but I hope that for the 2023 models, Sapphire Blue will be an option for the X-Line SX Prestige. If not, Aruba Green will be my backup color!
He says he recommends the all-wheel-drive model although he seems to be having a lot more fun with the front wheel drive vehicle. Lol
I love the "Blue" Sorento SX model. 🥰💙👍💯
