We don't need bigger diesel engines, we need realistically priced trucks that last longer than the loan !
Don’t take out a 10 year loan then loser.
Very true.
Alright, 200k truck coming right up.
Only if you don’t haul anything. Bigger engine, heavier chassi and brakes, heck yes!!
This would help with longevity as it would be like diesels of old making peak power just off idle. Oh and it would help lower N0x emissions even further.
These new trucks already cost nearly as much as I paid for my house. I can't begin to imagine the price of this new model. It would have to be $120k starting price.
thats what i was thinking it would be
More, that wont even get you a raptor.
Way more than 120. The new 2500 L5Ps are 125 alone. Out the dealer these will easily be 165k.
@@AntonioZaragoza-c3e IDK where you are shopping. i live in ny and my electriction just got fully loaded 2500 95k, absolutely absurd on price but not 125
Just love how humble you are man. Please never loose that. Don't know how many channels I've seen that feeling lost when they get big. Glad your son is doing good now man. Can't imagine. You all take care. ALSO!!!!!!!, You should do some 3.0 content man. Those trucks are super popular. I have one and love it.
I got a friend that's on the duamax line for gm for 25 years he told me it's a go its already on the bench
Yes your dildo is in the works be patient, enjoy your skittles and Blessings to you - Stay Safe
That’s were a conversion kit from Edison Motors will come in handy. With towing and having the best of both worlds. Diesel generator and electric drive power. Go Edison Motors!
Check out what Edison Motors in Canada are developing for diesel trucks. A diesel generator that charges a battery that powers motors. That could be the future because there's no downtime with waiting for batteries to charge
Josh Cummins actually did the r and d for Mercedes on that 8.3 and was in freightliner medium duty trucks but those engines were known to eat bearings before the 6.7 Cummins was put into the medium duty freightliner trucks
At the end of the day a pickup truck can have all the power but the frame and axes are only so strong
And frames can be engineered and there's plenty of axels out there that can handle the power...
@@spectrumofreality in a 3/4 ton truck lol still only so much
More horsepower and torque than several of the first few semi trucks I owned.
Shiny 290 🇺🇸🦅
Agreed! If we got our GM Dana King Pin 60 back, we’d all be content!
Kodiak trucks have had a straight 6 Isuzu based Duramax 7.8L at least 20 years ago.
That was an inline 6, and it was straight Isuzu. Supposed to have been a good engine.
@@holsteinsanddiesels7758 tool truck has one 20 yrs plus old and still going strong!!
They need to move away from v8 diesels
Shoulda called it "SUPERMAXX", cuz you'll be imprisoned in a payment plan for several years. 👮♂️
I've got 2 8.1 gassers and love them they pull like freight trains. A duramax 8.3 would be sweet but is it needed? To be honest I see way too many people hauling way too big of loads for trucks. Anything much over 30-35k is where you really should be using a much heavier truck then a HD pickup. Will they haul yes, but anyone who has ever towed something much heavier than your tow vehicle knows what I'm talking about not all roads are smooth sailing. If a person can handle towing it's not a problem, but too many that think they can and end up in a heap of trouble. I'm all for more power but the tow ratings are getting to the point where a cap needs to be set. If not in a few years it will be 45k+ loads and if the trailer brakes go out on a long down grade that pickup truck is not going to hold it back. Definitely GM needs to bring back the solid front axle probably there biggest mistake was going IFS on medium and heavy duty trucks.
the 8.3 will not have to work as hard to make better power than the 6.6... and create less emissions... or so they say...
100% agreed. Like seeing a Montana Van pulling a26’ RV with 3 Bicycles on his rear bumper and 3 kids in the back seat.
I have a 2024 dually pro I got for ranch hauling hay last summer was hauling over combined rating it was very impressive power and handling with that load braking for what your hauling was pretty darn good
Lol 😁 😆 🤣 I think the big 3 needs to focus on reliability rather than just building a bigger motor that most Americans never use or need and just drive it on the pavement as a daily. Also let's not forget the ridiculous over priced rip off demands for these trucks..... just all around disappointing. Dont be surprised if we hear some bankruptcy reports, again.....
Exactly why I’ll NEVER get anything above an LMM. Mine is at almost 280k miles and not major issues yet. Shit it still have the stock front end and I’m on 35x12.5x20s. Of course it’s on a diet and efi live
I will NEVER let go of my Lb7
Same
And u shouldn’t. The lb7 is like the 12 valve. True million mile truck. First most reliable common rail built. The only thing prone to fail on the truck is injectors. Which they fixed. Take a lb7 do the 6 speed valve body upgrade. U got a gem. My lb7 with a 6 speed intake exhaust and ego live would do 25mpg hiway with 35s and I’m not exaggerating. I’d drive it from northern ut to Vegas regularly on less than a tank. Almost 500mile trip.
@braylinbateman4369 don't forget the crank.... I have several '06's and as I pick away at rebuilding two of them to have a new truck ready to go when needed, the cranks are slotted and keyed instead of the damn dowel pin OE set up
8.3 mega max gonna be ripping transmissions and rear ends apart. I want to see a tuned and deleted one
You know they'll be doing alot of tq mgmt for warranty purposes
Dang can't wait to actually see one.... wonder if Gale Banks and Oshkosh had something to do with this he has talked about some really cool top secret stuff.
Ford and Cummins already has big diesels… for quite sometime now. They just haven’t been implemented into medium-light duty vehicles
Ford Godzilla is 7.3. 6.8 is the smallest gas motor offered in Super Duty now.
Thanks I should have said that in the video
The 6.8 V8 is a Godzilla, same engine design, smaller displacement.
@@WBOS72 nobody calls the 6.8 the Godzilla, but thanks for chiming in.
@@cstgx Actually nobody call the 7.3 godzilla either, lol.
@@mrhrobinson you are incorrect
It is easier to meet emission with the bigger motor, they probably won't increase HP too much, probably just match ford at 1200 TQ . They need a bigger gas than the 6.6, they could build something off the ZZ632 crate motor, just drop it down to 565 Cubes.
Bring back the big block trucks.
I'm speaking for those who own diesel trucks, that us guys would like the newer trucks to be free of emissions that choke off the engines. I see that it costs thousands and the cost of the Def fluid, just more that the EPA wants to control us.
The only reason DEF is needed it to keep NoX emissions down. The only reason the NoX emissions are high is the power being produced is very high creating high temperature cylinder gasses. The only reason the power numbers are so high is because the big truck makers have been in a HP and Torque war since International put a turbo on the 7.3. The only reason the auto makers pushed for higher numbers is because that's what truck buyers voted for with their wallets.
DEF is a consumer created problem. It's not an EPA created problem.
Bigger engine making less power and you will not need DEF and you'll hit the noise and emissions requirements with todays injection control systems combined with a simple catalyst in the exhaust stream.
Your request is only reachable with lower power and larger engines: the exact opposite of the high power smaller engine size that is being pushed across all manufacturers.
@@btwbrand not close to true. bigger equals less, but its deffenately the EPA controling things. That really comes down to how you vote. Democrats are why were here, and people of this country is why we have Democrats. Republicans arent any better. We need America. Anyways, youll always gonna be seeing DEF, EGR might go, but DEF is only the begining. control control control. Stand up people and fight back. Start with voting. Get new faces, America loving people. not corporate assholes.
If you take the hp/tq made by the 6.6 and extrapolate it to 8.3 you get 565hp and 1257 tq
Multiply by EPA and government Bureaucracy and then let me know what it comes out as.
Here in the Colo rockies ive seen a few masked duallys pulling goosenecks with big concrete blocks chained down with Illinois mfgr license plates .... Some one is testing something
Interesting 🤔
@@TruckMaster i drove i70 parachute to Denver daily and 1 or 2x a week ill see these 2 on i70 between denver and grand jct pulling the the passes and out on rolling hills of the western slopes
I like my old 5.9. And even get along ok with the 6.7 which really didn’t add anything to it. Proper gearing on the transmission is the most important factor. Making all these bigger and badder motors that don’t really add any more capability if your needing something bigger get a 5500 or something. You can get a lot more weight moving way faster than breaks can control
I'm a first timer, and just subscribed. I love diesels, but I own a '12 2500HD Ext Cab Silverado. I saw the "8.3", that's how I got here. Be easy on me, within the last year I heard GM was redesigning a gas engine to 8.3 LT. In GM confusing things, that's LT as in 1 step above the LS, like the 2 valve Corvette new(er) LT with better water jacket/more/higher flow, and a couple other improvements over the LS. 510 cu in, 600hp, 600 tq. That was at the time, then Ford came out with the big gasser w/i 6 months of that. If they took the old 500, applied the latest LS/LT tech, that would be perfect for me! Every day driver, 20 mpg big hp/tq, and it would be the standard engine for 2500/3500. With the 8 spd auto ZF and 4.11/4.56 it would be a respectable weekend tow rig also. My 6.0 LS w/6.auto and 3.71 tows quite well for what it is to start with. Just passing info. Peace --gary
Thanks for the info Gary
Being a Ford guy, Good job GM for keeping the diesel market alive!!! I’m pretty sure if this is true I’m sure ford will come out with something. Take that Elon Musk!!!
yessir, but I feel "The Blue Oval"seems to compete only if needed, I feel they will run the tried and true 6.7 as long as the market share and loyal customers stay loyal because as some one mentioned in an earlier post "you can only put so much power in a small pickup", until someone push the limits on weight and loose control on the expressway! I am the owner a SD550 and SD250 and I Do not and will not tow over 25,000lbs on the roads even if the truck can handle it, but its the fools that cut you off and the dead stop fools the truck has to be concerned with. fordnation.
Yup. Definitely beef up the truck frame and suspension. For people who tow all the time, it would be amazing. Solid front axle, beefed up frame, upgraded suspension. Amazing.
And here I am with my humble 2004 Dodge with a 2003 5.9 in it, lol. It's still a great truck, and I'm not trying to haul 30k. My daily is a 10k tool rig, and it sure works great for that.
My prediction is that this may be another gm/navistar collaboration, the biggest complaint I hear from people on the navistar side is that there are essentially no options for their medium duty trucks like the MV series just the 6.7 cummins with a max hp option of 280 or something I believe. And the CV with the L5D is underpowered, so I think if the 8.3 is real it's going to be incorporated in the medium duty line up like the chevy 5500 and international MV/CV series trucks as an alternative for customers that want something with more power.
I think the big 3 will try the diesel/electric option.
$185k BASE PRICE 3500HD crew cab dually. Work truck package. Add $40k for fully loaded.
dont forget to add the extra beer/cup holders for $250 upgrade accessory
As a former tech for gm and I have seen the harp all big 3 have made . How about better reliability long-term less rust long term and better electronics and here the big one better fuel economy there no reason for 14.5 out the box best mile babied . Here a thought lower the price of these truck to acceptable level when loaded which standard trim like Silverado
I think they need to go hybrid.
Small diesel running generator. Like Edison motors did.
I would think that they would aim at a hybrid like the Ford F-150 hybrid only with a mid sized diesel engine and an inverter to run a trailer or at a construction site.
I am 4 time Ford Guy But Love your station! I will continue to subscribe
I appreciate it
Is not about being a killer, its about the fact that the 6.6 is maxed. The 8.3 will put out same power, but at a lower rpm.
Not even close to maxed!
He has no clue
Its about emissions and lower rpm. Same power at lower rpm for less smoke is what they are aiming for.
@@ShadowOppsRC Can only go so low in the rpm. The trucks transmission won't let it hit max torque that low. It will down shift
@@countcuda70depends. I bet they add an electric hydraulic pump to keep trans pressures in check at lower rpm.
The ford 3.5 eco boost twin turbo had the same torque 410 and hp 325 as a big block. But the torque low you don’t need to down shift up the hill on the freeway. Plus’s you can get 20 mpg. But they need to work more on reliability LOL keep my finger crossed.
My old work truck is a 2021 with 6.0 gas and averaged less than 6 mpg. My new 2024 6.6 gas and Allison averages 12 mpg and the new truck carries a heavier full time load. Bigger displacement uses less fuel for the stop and go. It would make since for 8.3 to use less diesel.
The current duramax can perform better using aftermarket like banks that wake the torque up & arguably improverd reliability as well as adjustable leaf spring helpers & or air bag helpers theres always options just figure out which ones work vs a bunch of hype
Am 8.3 would be cool to see. I am happy with my L5P , plenty of power and torque for my needs.
it seems to me the trucks now can pull all the weight necessary without issue, at some point you would just need a bigger truck not a bigger engine......and then the cost, were already at 100k for top trim
the engines arent an issue, all the emissions on them is.. Seem to be swaying customers who would buy a diesel to now buying a gas engine so they are losing customers
of ourse there are those who absolutley have to have a diesel for their needs, but they are in the business of selling as many trucks as they can whether people actually need a diesel or not
the bigger gasoline engine will be a bigger deal I think, ease of use and maintenance while still being "capable" enough for more diesel owners to switch back.......
2026 8.3 denali ultimate 3500 DRW......MSRP $122,810.00
EPA hates diesels. I would love it if GM builds this! 🇺🇸
GM should build it and it would sell like hotcakes. But like the old saying goes built by Americans, loved by Americans and hated by democrats
There is a guy with a first gen s10 SAS with a lb7. It eats the fullsize trucks up and always a good laugh when he posts pictures of towing dozers around in a lwb ex cab square body s10.
Straight axle ?? Launching frost heaves? Straight axles suck... In my back, neck, and bodys Opinion...
I feel like they would probably put it in the 45, 55, and 6500 trucks. Idk
Im not sure you get the truck and load stopped. They are gonna have to do better with the braking
yesssssssss sir that is exactly the issue because rain, ice, snow, crazy old people, stupid young punk kids will happen in front of you!!!
You can't legally haul that much anyways. So what does it matter?
Ya and the price is $285,000 with a 18% interest interest rate where do I sign? Thx
🤣😂 Good one!! dont forget to add the $20,000 Gooseneck upgrade package!
gm likes to make truck engine lines that stick around awhile. 8.3 is probably tested for 600hp to check reliability but would ship with 525hp (just my guess) and incrementally improve over the next several years.
Cummins made the ISC 8.3 liter 6cylinder that was available in Freightliner M2106 and other medium trucks. It was up to 360hp and 950lb/ft torque all the time. Then when 2010 emissions came out Cummins dropped the 8.3 in favor of the 9 liter ISL available up to 450hp and 1250lb/ft torque still as we speak.
Just my personal opinion gm should have never went away from the straight front axle. I would be interested to see a 8.3 duramax
I thought that for years then bought a f350 2020 it's a great truck but don't prefer the ride.
What? I have 2 8.3 4 stroke Fuel pinchers in my 50’boat. They are from 1985. These were common in commercial trucks and buses. They made the head bolts to short and they failed. It’s exciting.
First time listener but love it and looking for more I have a 2018 chevrolet 2500hd Duramax LTZ and would love to get MORE INFO I will be listening and watching
Welcome!
other than military and commercial vehicles, I don't see it being practical because it will drink a lot of fuel. And the first thing that came to mind when I see Cummins with 8.3l diesel are the LAV-300 and LAV-600
Is it going to be reliable or more complicated junk?
No one needs a 8.1 the 6.6 has more than enough you already can pull enough to need a cdl to do it with no problem and if you modify a 6.6 you don't need the power unless you want to break shit all the time
This is getting ridiculous. Just bought a Cummins HO with 4:10 gears. Got rid of a 2015 HO 4:10. The new truck will hold the hills a little better and the mpg is a little better, but the torque management won't let you have all the power until you are at speed. The trans programming gets confused, the 15 was the best trans I ever hauled with. I have run a 1 ton dually's since 1984 in a business not a grocery getter. I have owned them all. The 2015 Dodge HO asian 4:10 was the best working combo I ever had, sorry I sold it. There is no need for more power if the chassis won't let you have it.
Will the trucks come with a self-lifting cab so maintenance will be less difficult?
Hell yeah!!! They build it I will come with cash in my hand. They should put it in the medium duty and not de-rate the 8.3l...or at least give us the option for a high output in the medium duty trucks 4500/5500/6500
May as well just buy a Semi Truck!
Love that you watch TFL 🤘
They better put a good transmission because that transmission is weak compared to the Allison 1000
At what point do we say why. It's ridiculous. I mean what next. A 14 L cummins in a 1 ton. These trucks do not need bigger more powerful motors. They need to breath and run clean a d have better fuel mileage all accomplished with taking off the bullshit emmisions
I am so with you 110%
6.6 has plateaed imo…looking at Reliability, less taxing, able to pass emissions and put up good numbers
Screw the EPA, and most certainly, screw CARB.
BET. 50 years of the EPA's regulations and solutions yet the problems have only amplified? Sure seems to me like some platinum mines owned by wealthy lobbyists needed more buyers for a low volume commodity, kinda like lithium now....
@@mikeallen5291 I’ve been saying it for years. Our carbon footprint is cleaner than it’s ever been, and we’re out here screaming the planet has just a few more years to live… and I’m supposed to buy that? When, exactly what you’re saying about mining metals for batteries is a thing that’s overlooked anytime/everytime. It’s insane how people can’t put that together.
@@Mattss90 Finally, someone who sees the forrest from the trees. I began my endeavor in the 90's studying the historical climate because what I was told in school was not aligning with what I knew prior to the indoctrination of the discussion in our school. I was tipped off further when I, by sheer chance, came across an article in a science paper in which studies were done by major universities that discussed what was coming out of exhaust pipes pre and post catalyst. They made it rather blatant point that particulate mass in the atmosphere was the issue in the 70's when the discussion was about smog, but the removall of so much of that mass will lead to something like a magnifying glass effect. They then discussed the amounts of greenhouse gases in depth. If memory serves correctly, the toxic gases are reduced, but that toxicity is relative to humans and not to atmospheric stability. In short, the catalytic converters lower the amount of gases and toxins that are dangerous to humans, but the cost is increased greenhouse gases leaving exhaust pipes. I remember the sun not being so hot on my skin and having winter every single year like clockwork in the midwest up until the early 90's down to having snow almost every halloween. we had 90's weather in the summer and even a few 3 digit days annually, but very few mild winters. Meaanwhile back at the ranch, countries like Ukraine, were too cold and undeveloped for ag, but they are now ag powerhouses and were made that way with helf from the good ol' USA. I always laughed when I heard the line on King of the Hill when Dale Gribble said "let the planet warm up. We'll grow oranges in Alaska.". I'm not laughing now when I know that one of the biggest issues humans face as the world poulation grows, is food shortages. I apologize for the diatribe but it's not every day that I get someone that doesn't rag on me for my thought process on this matter. If it is gov't and it's name ends in "agency" or "service" it's an unregulated company that needs no legislation to enforce its laws and rules and that is how the gov't has bypassed the constitution when it comes to what rights we supposedly have.
GM Needs a good competitor to the F450 Powerstroke HO, which is already 1200lb ft. I have a Duramax and I like it, but would have to upgrade to F450 higher trim for some work. also all of the power strokes are much more comfortable than any of the GM/Chevy versions. We want something nicer than the 4500, if you do it, we can stick with GM. If not, we’re going to go over to Ford probably
I wish my 23 Colorado Trail Boss had a front axil like the 70s 80s 4x4s with a 4x4 shifter in the floor instead of a dial!
Might be cheaper to buy and own a semi. If you have the license of course.
In my country I have seen people come in a semi to the supermarket, they park at the very end of the parking lot so they don't bother anyone.
Here the average pick-ups are Hilux and L200, not even F-150's.
I have the 8.1l gasser with allison trans.. i get 9mpg towing my 10k travel trailer. I wanted a diesel but it is cheaper to maintain, gas is cheaper and I've heard the newer diesels getting low teens mpg towing.. so i don't think I'm doing to bad.
I pray that GM produces the 8.3 My 2023 GMC Denali Ultimate dually will have to find a new home. And I do not care how much it cost I want it.
I heard that going with an engine that size could reduce the amount of emissions equipment that’s required, I don’t know if I believe that because semi’s have to have plenty of of emissions equipment too 🤷♂️
I been a fleet mechanic for over 30 years ! I can guarantee the ford 6.7 will get detuned at the very first recall campaighn ! Every ford diesel from the 6.0 to the 6.4 to the 6.7 all were down on power ! Even if the recall was a simple leaky fuel line ! and new the tires were always underinflated for a better test drive !
I know a guy that has a wedge and can put 3 dodge trucks on it and hauls it behind a 2020 6.6 turbo diesel deleted
nice
That’s wild that a single cab dually pickup can tow in the ball park of a semi truck.
my sentiments exactly it will definitely change the Hot Shot Market and take some of the semi rigs loads with a smaller footprint HOA will let you park it in your driveway!!!
Hey truck master I have a 06 lbz with some huge injectors I bout it with and was winger what’s the best parts to get more air to the truck I think it’s drowning in fuel
A pickup is a light duty truck. Medium duty starts at 450 4500 size trucks.
You can't do both. You can either increase displacement to reduce emissions while maintaining the power output, or you can increase displacement to increase output while maintaining emissions. Be happy if GM can do an 8.3 Dmax to maintain the 470 HP, 975 lb*ft rating while meeting 2027 emissions. But I don't think they can stretch the engine that far without raising the deck.
Obscure piece of information that very few people know: GM built a 7.5L V10 LS engine about 20 years ago to replace the 8.1L big block. Too bad they decided not to produce it.
It's really hard to say what's going to happen with the diesel pickup market. An 8.3 will be less stressed at moderately higher power and torque, so longevity will be helped there. But it'll also consume more fuel, so there's a downside.
As for electric trucks, have you seen the Edison Motors extended range electrics? I think that's the way to go for efficiency and range. A well tuned engine generating power for the electric motors won't have the ups and downs that kill efficiency. And being able to generate on the road will open up the range to even greater than an I.C.E. alone.
I can’t believe you are backing EV vehicles
As an owner of two diesels which I truly truly love but what he is saying does make you stop and raise an eyebrow or two.
A 7.1 litre would make sense as theres already a stroker kit available. I feel an 8.3 would be too heavy and take too much away from gross weight capacity. Just my opinion
Talking abut the 8.3 Isuzu right? I6 in a GM light truck sounds too good to be true. Why not just base it off the 7.8? Or is it? Isuzu been building decent engines long before partnering with GM. Now can they just step back up to a solid axle front??
Yes 8.3l DuraMax would be interesting!

If I wanted to drive a diesel I would be driving a T380 with a PX-9 set to 400 HP. Mate it with a Eaton 10 speed and Reyco suspension, you can drive it over a million miles. and a new one only costs 115K. With the costs of pickups, that would be a bargain.
Now if they could only make a frame that won't dissolve north of the mason dixon line
Agreed 👍
If GM produces the 8.3 liter I hope that Gail Banks supports it. He got 1000 horsepower from a 6.6. Imagine what he could do with an 8.3
you have to love how the price for trucks has gone up compared to the wage of working class. remember that when they post record earning each year.
8.3 diesel? Nope, doubt it. 8.3 gasser? More likely. If they keep the tune down on it they can probably keep emissions in check and reduce the amount of customers needing a diesel. We already know GM said they're investing in next gen gas v8's for their trucks and suvs.
Cummins did put the 8.3L in medium duty trucks. You could get one in FL70s and 80s.
If GM where planning to build 8.3 D max it needs bigger frame to claim heaviest towing capacity . That said GM never comes out with all new Silverado truck (refresh, new frame, new engine etc. ) at the same time. So, my thinking you will see it come in Stages like previous generations with the HD frame upgrade first, a year or two prior to the new rumored 8.3 D max engine.
As a 30 year plus Mastertech for GM I don’t think they need to build any Duramax engines. They’re all trouble prone. They have been told and they know what’s going on with the diesels breaking the crankshaft and the camshaft Dave’s auto in Centerville Utah has told him numerous times and he’s one of the best alsothat the keyway is the way to go these engines will not last long. I don’t care if people get 400,000 500,000 that’s no miles compared to what 67 Cummins will get or ford
Personally i dont believe gm would introduce it as an inline 6 due to the abrupt introduction of the inline in the 1500 series. And same goes for the 6.6 gasser. They just introduced it recently so i think that gm if they were smart they would experiment more with those platforms before increasing the size of those motors. Being they are already doung great with the v8 diesel platform they would build more off of that in my opinion. I mean every company has its mistakes but trying to do better in something they have little experience or knowledge on is just stupid.
This reminds me of the muscle car wars for horsepower that the big three had in the 60s which was ultimately killed after 1970 by who other than the good ol’ EPA. If GM is looking for that next big bump, there’s no replacement for displacement!! My guess would be a price tag of 120K..
EV in larger trucks are still a ways off, but in about 10 years, the solid state batteries will be amazing for range and charge rates, making diesels prehistoric and weak as Circus Lemonade in comparison. GM does not make a Diesel, last one that came out of the engineering department was only useful as a boat anchor, check out Isuzu and see if they are working on a 6.3 as that is where it will be sourced from.
Thanks!! 👍🏻
The straight axle front end would hurt the ride Quality that Chevy is known for even while towing. You wouldn't notice it as much towing though.
Bring back the Kodiak!!!!
I'd go for a truck without all the electronic wizardry, I had a 85 dually with the 8.1 gas tow rig, other mileage, it was sweet...
What is the deal with GMC Main seal. Anyone know
BTW these trucks are considered "light duty trucks"
He's referring to the 2500/3500HD, not the Light/Med/Heavy Duty
@@mrmotofy true, kind of. When he showed the 8.3 cummins truck, that is what a "medium duty" truck is, as well as a GM Kodiak. All the 1500, 2500, 3500 are technically light duty
@@NaztyNate Sure but in the Light Duty world they HD haha
@@mrmotofy true true 😅😎
Lower revs equals economy but they need a hybrid electric for acceleration to get massive feul savings ,
