      There are those with low batteries in their smoke detectors and probably many more with dead or missing batteries..... You wonder why there are so many fatal fires that may not of been because of a frigging battery.

    • @throttlebottle5906
      @throttlebottle5906 3 года назад +1

      @@REWYRED if you replace the batteries, they'll steal them and put dead ones back in their place! (rental, leased, government funded, commercial buildings).
      you can provide them with a pack of batteries yearly and they'll NEVER install them, use them for other things or toss them in the corner/trash. yes I've worked for many "slumlords" in the past (early 1990's forward), right up to Mc.Mansion owners. been there, done that and tried everything in the book, nothing ever changes until disaster strikes!
      it's usually in the rental/lease agreements that the tenants are responsible for such simple cheap items. but it still doesn't matter, government assistance housing to multimillion dollar buildings, ALWAYS the same issues, CHIRP--CHIRP--CHIRP. alarms and safety equipment 100% neglected, until an disaster occurs, then they cry and the shysters jump on board and lawsuits fly. end result is many thousands of dollars wasted, insurance fraud(raised rates for honest folks). etc etc etc.

I have a basement that floods when it rains over 30mm (just over an inch). It takes about 6 hrs to pump it out, then about 3 weeks to get it all dried. Great job on getting him back on the road to having a working bathroom again.

    This may have been answered on here already, but why are the caps not screwed off instead of broken off? Thanks!

      When they sit for a long time rust kinda locks them in place and makes them very hard to turn.

    What are those caps called?
    Also where do you usually find those?

    • @NYDRAINS
      @NYDRAINS  8 дней назад

      Sewer caps/plugs. Usually near the water meter.

    Is this in Florida cuz I heard about this before every time a hurricane or a tornado comes the sewer gets flooded.

    Have you ever broken a trap? If so how did you repair it. Any video?

    What do you do with all the waste that's around the trap?

    • @NYDRAINS
      @NYDRAINS  3 года назад

      There was sewage there before I popped the cap, but usually there is dirt or sand at the bottom and tends to seep back down after a few.
