I work for my city sewer department. I deal with the city mains. Believe it or not i would much rather deal with the bigger stuff in the street than go into houses like this. This stuff takes years to get really good at and i still learn new things after all these years.

When comes in contact with water it rapidly foams up spreading out covering the intire pipe like a foam snake. The roots decay over time depending on the type of plant and the size of the root mass.
