3:50 White River Junction VT. I’m glad this station is maintained in nice condition. It’s used as an Amtrak stop and a welcome center. Thanks for another great post!

The train seen in the snow is coming down Water Street in Beverly, MA and crossing over Cabot Street near the Beverly/Salem MA bridge. There was a Gulf coal/gasoline/fuel oil depot on the wharfs. The train from this dead end spur rejoined the main line of the Eastern RR, (then the) Boston & Maine RR, on what is the Boston to Rockport/Ipswich line at a point on the line just on the Beverly side of the bridge but before the Beverly MA main station, and before the split of the Rockport and Ipswich lines. - Steve Hall, (friend of Russ Munroe, and former Executive Director of the Beverly Historical Society & Museum.)

NOTE: I was referring to the last 45 seconds of this 7 1/2 minute film... :)

That's water street alright. The Gulf depot became the Beverly Chemical Terminal Company and trains of tank cars continued to run down the street until about 1980. I grew up on Front St. just up the hill above Water street. B&M used SW1's there a lot but by the late 70's bigger GP7/9's were common. I once saw a brand new GP40-2 squeeze down through there!

Great stuff again. I really enjoy this as this is the B&M that I grew up with. I used to watch them switch freights in Bradford yard as a kit.

Any idea where the last couple shots with the SW1 are located? Looks like it might be the Conway Branch or somewhere in New Hampshire at least. The first few with RS-2 #1500 also look like a NH branch

The footage of the 1500, I am pretty sure that's all shot around the Jaffrey Rindge area on the Cheshire branch.

Hi John, I don't think so...that might be the last of the B&M stuff on this tape, anything else I have to put on would be too new. Craig

How do you change the 8mm over onto a computer?

I'm not sure how this was done, I got it on video tape. I use a 'Dazzle' capture device to get the VHS tape onto the computer. Craig
