This interesting video should be digitally remastered.

If the masters exist. This was a VHS tape, and the resolution is not great by modern standards. Old film has a number of limitations also.

An interesting fact is that some of the Hudsons that ran on this line were reassigned to the West Shore which ran through where I live in northern NJ towards Weehawken

It's cool to see the cp 98 diamond before interstate 91 was built. But sad to see all of the lines and trackage that has been removed

Berkshire listed as westbound at Chester is actually eastbound, having just passed beneath the Middlefield Rd. overhead and is approaching MP 127.

I have these titles in Super 8mm film. Released by Blackhawk Films back in the day in Standard 8mm, Super 8mm and 16mm film format. Then, later on, on VHS tape.
Blackhawk Films sold a lot of railroad films.

What is the consist of the Boston Section of the Wolverine train? To me it looks like it uses head end mail, baggage, and express cars, a few coaches, both heavyweight and lightweight, a diner or a sleeper lounge, and a mix of heavyweight and lightweight sleepers.

What amazes me is the lack of trees in all these shots

Many areas were deforested in the early 1900s in western Ma.

Here in the south row was cleared, then widened. Hillbillies took a lot for firewood. And further from row the lumber companies took everything to the horizon. By 1920's most was gone. Modern harvesting methods now requires a certain amount of growth. One area full another bare and others in various stages of regrowth.
If you model certain periods you may not need as many trees as others.
Great video. I love that country. Lived up there in the 1980's. Thanks for the video.

Is the bridge claimed to be the "most photographed bridge on the Rutland" at 27:54 the one over the Mill River and VT 103 in Wallingford, VT?

What is the plume of steam coming out of the top of the tender in a couple of shots?

And while there are no Boston & Albany steamers around today the NYC 3001 on my pfp ran on the subsidiary until the early 50s and is now in Elkhart.

These were films, not videos. You probably aren't aware of this, but at one time there weren't any videos! No, really, it's true!

True. Video (tape) did not come around until MUCH later than film. Late 1950s I think.
