Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados, is a port city on the island’s southwest coast. It's known for its British colonial architecture. It’s easy to see why Bridgetown is a popular cruise stop. The Careenage is an Instagram-worthy scene of bridges and a boardwalk running along a river dotted with sailboats and catamarans, while waterfront cafes offer sweeping views over the city’s Parliament Square. Across the water, bustling colonial-era streets are lined with pastel-colored duty-free malls and warehouses turned discount stores, and alleys lure pedestrians towards fruit carts or souvenir trinkets.

Barbados is my Mother Birthplace. I haven't been since the early nineties. This video has really intrigued me to visit. My Mother goes to Barbados on a Frequent basis. My cousin is part of the Senate of Barbados.

When I saw the Cockspur Rumpunch in Cave Sheppard I remembered the little old lady used to be there asking if you wanted to try a sample with her. This was in 90s, not sure how she never got drunk.

Thanks for watching, some places have closed down or reduced there hours but the essentials are fully open. Lots of tourist now it winter season and we have less covid protocols.

Awww thank you so much. Really love to hear the comments. To answer your questions - The Restaurant is called "Flavour in the pot Restaurant" its behind Roebuck Street. The Fruits are mainly imported and there is a mixture vegetables locally grown and imported.
@@MsJaide Not most fruits are imported! Only those that aren't grown in the Tropics eg; grapes, most oranges(Barbados) has some but not plentiful..Pineapple, and the Apples (Galo)etc. Local fruits & veggies are; bananas, avocado,plums, cherries(local), golden apple, sour sop, mangoes. Veggies; lettuce, cabbage, beens, carrots, beets, potatoes(sweet) etc. You will have plenty to choose from, not to worry. I always cook for myself & family too. Fresh fish & meat.
@@MsJaide like your style of cooking at home. Get all your foodstuffs together and do it yourself. Best food ever.

The Jolly Roger, is now just going to ruins out to sea sadly, its up for sale last i heard but needs many repairs.

Can you give me any information on the quarantine rules. I need to know if Rendezvous Ridge is an approved location in Saint Michael
When coming to Barbados to stay you will have to quarantine until you receive a second negative test. If you are thinking of Rendezvous it has to be a quarantine approved Hotel.

Visited about 1986. Tourist resorts are really the loveliest. Hands down. But in Jesus name. Why can.t I honestly see beauty in rest of island like 99 percent of folks??? No jealousy here. Not blind either.
