Richard's World Traveler Isn't that Port-au-Prince?
Can you do jamaica
dadalala That’s what it looks like to me. No excitement going on🤔
Barbados is so beautiful and clean l come from st James
The reason it wasn't so busy is because it looks like you were there very early
Not that it matters much, but as a Jamaican I have wanted to express this for sometime now: The Barbados flag is by far the most attractive design in the entire Caribbean, possibly the western hemisphere. Followed by St. Lucia, Guyana, Bahamas, T&T, and then maybe my own Jamaica. It isn't about loyalty or patriotism, it's about thoughtfulness, and the diagonal cross in my flag reminds me too much of the American confederate southern civil war flag. It's just how I feel. Plus Bridgetown looks so damn clean. Proud of you Bajans.
lol not that it matters it's not any competition u right Steve but thx i never really heard that before i always thought our flag was pretty basic looking but that's just me as a Bajan maybe being so familiar w it...good to hear other's opinions ...the flags i always look at & I'm always impressed w for some reason when i hit the Parkway on labor day are the Grenada flag & the Haiti flag. the colors alone just pop out immediately when u look at it & i say wow.... but that's just me, everybody's different.
BXNY1 Choosing Grenada and Haiti's flag shows just how much different you are from me. I don't like them one bit. Your flag design is simple yes, but that is how it should be. Grenada's flag is much too busy, and Haiti's is dull and simplistic. The colour blend in the Barbados flag is right up my alley, outstanding, and then THAT Trident. For me your flag is bright and classy. I honestly wish it was Jamaica's, and yes, your familiarity with it probably impacts your judgement.
u don't like Grenada flag ?? WOW ... even jamaica flag has a decent design but Bim yea the trident is nice but other than that it's just 3 squares or boxes....it's ok but still kinda weak.
BXNY 1 Since your last post, I decided to take another look at both flags. Lo and behold, my memory of both, needs upgrading. I swear I remember the Grenadian flag to have decals of spices all over it, where the heck did they go? The Haitian flag I remember containing two squares, black near the staff, and red opposite. I am 66 years old, so I am going to claim senility. I apologize to Grenadians and Haitians, your flags are not half bad. In fact, I venture to say they are a damn sight better than my Jamaican flag.
no problem man, i'm actually not sure maybe they did change or update both over time but yea grenada flag is official to me. the ethiopia (rasta) colors pop off the screen when u look at it & i like the lil' details all over it. and it's nothing too busy at all to create confusion, just enough to make u admire it. see if bim flag had some lil' extra details in the blue areas i could agree w u but it's just plain blue rectangles .. i never saw our flag as anything too special ... or artistic.
Beautiful people , beautiful weather , beautiful Barbados 🇧🇧! Bless up ! Proud of my Bajan blood 🇧🇧
what the hell
I love barbados too
“World Star!”
That cracked me up. The internet has truly connected us all together. Barbados 🇧🇧 looks like a beautiful and prosperous Island. Much love from the USA.
This is really a beautiful country. I want to visit someday. I'm from Haiti 🇭🇹
Wow! It looks so much safer & cleaner then a lot of other places in the Caribbean I’ve seen like Haiti, Jamaica, Dominican Rep, etc. Barbados seems like such a beautiful country
He avoided some dodgy-looking side streets though
As a young teenage bajan(barbadian) i can honestly say that Bridgetown(our main town) is not that quiet. And seeing that a lot of people were wearing school uniforms that you were there early afternoon on a weekday, hence so little crowd.
No,we have no mcdonalds( once upon a time we did but he closed down after a month or so years ago because we like our chicken. You will find a lot of KFCs all about the place and somewhere near it, you'll find a fast food restaurant called Chefette (seen at 11:27) and it is the biggest competiton that KFC have on the island (in most cases people like chefette more because it not only have the same kinds of foods as KFC but it also branches out and have great deals plus most Chefette have playgrounds and recently most are indoors as well and have three layers.
Additionally, Burger king is a recent installment but you will never find it as full has KFC or Chefette.
However, even being the main town, the real excitment happens elsewhere if you wish for entertainment, such as Speightowns{west coast-near the north} located in St.Peter-have food chains, supermarkets and have beach access), Holetown(located in St.James{west coast} which features more towards tourist and have a cinema and other attractions, it is also next door to a beach) and Oistins (located in ChristChurch {south coast} also have a beach access and from Thurdays-Saturday has what we bajans like to call limes-where there have music, food, drinks live entertainment, bars).
In the East coast is the seas from the Alantic Oceans, hence the water is a bit ruther and perfect for surfing and have several Bays and Coves that can be visited.
Additionally, several hotels makes arrnagements and buses to give tours around the island so everyone will have a proper experience.
Not that Barbados is the perfect place or anything, like all countries we have our own problems but seriously, the video makes us look boring. So please give us a chance and Comment if you have a question. :)
Edit: Barbados has just elected its first female Prime Minister :) 😄😊😆
Let's see how her run goes.
Amelia Potter I am so happy to see this comment as a Bajan teen myself
Cari Replay It was the honest truth, because if i didn't know the road i would not believe that it was in Bridgetown Barbados due to how quiet it was with so little people. The streets are never that empty unless it was a veeerrry early weekday. Also some of the comments about how boring it seems made me very upset and i truely wish someone else put up a more exciting video on youtube for me to show a link to show them how a Bajan 'fete'/ party/lime truely is and how things really are. Yeck, i don't care if a video involves a fight either, it just shows that every country got it good sides and bad sides.
U have burger king i never knew where is it?🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴
Thank you Amelia for this detail. Coming to Barbados in 10 days and i will check out some of your suggestions 👍
You can always go to Nassau, Bahamas. It's a lot cheaper than Barbados and Bahamas has some beautiful beaches.
Lol @ the girl saying "Listen! Shut up!" at the intro.
loool yessssssssss!! i died at that too!!
Visited Barbados for the first time in February. What a beautiful place and amazingly welcoming Bajan people. Loved loved loved it!! so much so we booked again as soon as we got home. See you again February 2020!! ❤️
Hi, did not make Antigua sadly but Barbados was fantastic. The beach was picture postcard! Also absolutely loved Grenada too .....stunning!
I always wonder what Barbados look like first time I saw it although I am guyanese living in Toronto it beautiful clean and quite
This city is so clean and well kept nice video.

Brenda Yearwood 🇧🇧
Brenda Yearwood That's Haiti.
Brenda Yearwood hey am from Tanzania want to visit Barbados soon any advice
please can an african visit barbados without visa?
Brenda Yearwood please😫🙏🙏💓 I need to speak with you stanleyobruche2@gmail.com
I pray to God I get to visit places like this one day.😇😇
I sincerely do hope that you make it. I particularly want my African American brethren, to see that they are not limited to remaining in the vipers pit, which unceasingly tries to destroy their body and soul. How to get here to the Caribbean? Save. Seriously. Two less beers a week, one less girlfriend, a whole lot less partying, and before you know it, you are here.
Your name suggests Dutch, am I wrong?
Try love. I just looked a flight is about 300 you can do it if you save up👏🏽😘 pray and work
Where there is a will, there is a way. Just put away $50 a month towards your trip, and before you know it; you will have enough saved up to visit Barbados. Always book your trip 30 days or more ahead for the most economical fare!
Franskie Salif trust me you would wanna
Franskie Salif when you do. Your more than welcome to Barbados and try some macaroni pie, flying fish and Chefette fast food (roti)
Barbados looks very beautiful. I want to visit one day
I was there 3 years ago and thought it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. My other half did take me to downtown but it was a different area and extremely busy with Cartier shops and other high end places all around, I don't know what street that was. You should highlight those areas, the beaches, Oistins, Sandy Lane, Harrison's Cave...there was just so much to see and do. We did not get to do everything we wanted and I was there for a week!
Such a beautiful town !!!! Greetings from St. Paul - Brazil.
Just love that Country...love from Pakistan
from Biafra Nigeria “ I love you brothers❤️
I’m Italian, but I love this island 🇮🇹❤️🇧🇧
You are doing great work touring the whole world especially in the Caribbean islands and doing videos keep up the good work and be safe (from Barbados)
In love with their architecture!
British colonial
Barbados city is beautiful, reminds me of st Vincent city, sweet😎😎
There is no comparison between Barbados and St. Vincent. St. Vincent people are more true to there culture and less influenced by the White mans ways. I've been to both places and St. Vincent is by far the better than the Bajans culture. There is more poverty in St. Vincent, the streets are not so well cared for. They are like the streets in Antigua. Take your eye off the ball and you end up with a sore ankle or leg. Love the Caribbean and all the people.
JohnSAitken St. Vincent is boring to me. Barbados is Beautiful. This is coming from someone who is mixed with both (mom from St. Vincent dad from Barbados) Bajan atw🇧🇧
The Bajan people’s are the White mans gofer. People’s of St. Vincent are true to their culture. St.Vincent is only boring if you’re board. I love it and the people.
@@JohnSAitken i can tell u never step foot in barbados. We dont try to follow no white people, we have as much culture as any other caribbean island. And our culture is one of the main reasons barbados does so well in tourism.
What do you know if I’ve been in Barbados or not. Check out the video I’ve posted of my times in the Caribbean. Been in Barbados 9 times for your knowledge.
It looks very beautiful and cool greetings from mexico
It is glad to see my home town
Yes, Barbados is very beautiful.
I just knew Almost every part of this street is very Clean from trash ....send regard for Barbados people from Indonesia ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is so cool! Thank you for posting. I love the feeling of walking around like I am there. I miss Barbados!
I really miss my 2nd home.
thanks for this upload! I haven't been home in 5 years... it was nice to see all the changes

Have not been to Barbados since I was 16 now a lot older. Like to go back very soon. Can you set your camera up to go into those flea markets and any antique shop of a bygone era? If you are still in Bridgetown can you pan to street names or call them out? Beautifully done with simplicity and basic commentary. As a Guyanese/Canadian love all the Caribbean/South American destinations that you are and are travelling to. Thank you Richard!
A nice place, I like Barbados 🇧🇧
Man I love the look of this city? Very unique look! I want to go there .
Nidhe israel synagogue in Bridgetown.
One of the oldest synagogues in the Americas, standing since 1654, restored and used by the alien community in Barbados to this day.
Book reference:
Barbados the first israel by Hutchinson.
You know you are bajan when you know every place he is on from quick glance xD
Bem legal gostei do vídeo, parece ser um país bem organizado
Isso é um caos
Beautiful Barbados 246
Barbados is the island country which the located in the west Caribbean, specifically quite close to the South American continent.barbados is the beautiful country, maybe many famous, amazing and good places to visit tourist😀.
🇹🇹Been there🇹🇹❤🇧🇧
thnx for this bro.A small glimpse into the everyday lives of Barbados...looks nice
Like your vids. Of Guyanese parents, but it would be great if you'd engage with the people to make them less sterile.
Do u even know what sterile means? Lmaoo
Thanks for showing us round, we are there in June for 2 weeks.. can’t wait 👍
Hi rich thanks for the trip to Barbados from Guyana to Barbados is about 400 us I didn't visit Barbados because because I had a green passport. From us to Barbados is nearly same return.
My overall goal from 2014 - 2017 was to efficiently make one-way flights to a bunch of countries. it took me many hours of looking at flights to find a route. Barbados is one of the places that you can go to various other countries pretty easy.
aww you missed all the beauty of broad street. also the building you didn't know is the parliament building
i love this country can i visit here without visa or do i need visiting visa?
i love this country can i visit here without visa or do i need visiting visa?
MOHAMMED OUWATTARA you need a passport or visa Donny go ANYWHERE/country without them!
Yep and it has a Barbadian history tour on the inside! That would have been exciting. So next time
Thanks so much for video. Excellent.
You are very welcome. Thanks for watching.
It has a mixture of Cape Town City Centre and Belleville in Cape Town South African vibe to it.
Love it!
Nice place. Love the colours. It's cleaner and looks more modern than any town drab dreary UK
Look how clean the streets wow
Imagine watching this and seeing multiple people you know.. I just realized how small Barbados is 🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧
Chapel St. To Swan St. to High St. and down Palmetto past the back of the Parliament (and law offices of some of the Parliamentarians), then up Marlhill St. to Broad St. across Chamberlain Bridge and Independence Arch.
DigitalIslandboy , yeah, but he missed the best: Broad St 😁
Thanks for sharing, I didn't recognise most of the streets you listed.
This city is so clean. I like it.
I recomend barbado for an tour streets for the bechs very nice
What god bless my people
You made a video about walking around Bridgetown and missed out the most prominent street in Bridgetown ???? Broad Street, is the center of the capital.
I can take some more videos tomorrow if you give me some good routes. I will have two more videos of walking around the bridge and around town also. In this video it had the most people, so I uploaded it first.
I am from Barbados, and i was thinking why is he not going through Broad Street you should have asked for directions, and the building you said you didn't know what it was, that was the Parliment building
Bay Street is not unlike many of the main arteries and side streets leading into Bridgetown. It is a busy street.
you are in bar 👏 ba 👏 dos 👏!!!
I love Barbados!
beautiful city that I like ! I want to visit it one time .
Have a nice Sunday , my friend !

It's wonderful West Indies 🏁
Lmao as a Bajan, I'm watching this and seeing MANY people I know 😂😂😂
My home land..i miss BIM
nice video thanks for sharing
Nice videos! I spent some time in the Eastern Caribbean when I was younger so these are bringing back a lot of memories. What is that you are shooting with? Its got to involve a gimbal as the footage is quite stable. DJI Osmo?
Hello. The parts and equipment I used are in the video description box. I used to use a DJI Osmo, But, I think I didn't take care of it well, and after about a year it was always crooked. There are rumors out that there might be a DJI Osmo 2 coming out later this year. If they do, I would probably buy it. My setup takes too much time to set up.
Richard's World Traveller I use the dji Osmo+ for weddings sometimes. It helps with stabilization but there is some other arm one should purchase to take out the shake from your walked steps. I haven't bothered to get it, maybe someday.
My father's hometown!!! Thanks!
I love in this country isn't it beautiful
My favorite country
very good
This is a very nice video ! I like it
A black country that is high development.
I like this, interesting concept. Thanks for a look inside. P.S i did not cancel any ads so you could be rewarded.
Thanks for letting us travel with you. Can u sometimes sit and let people pass by n when u walk not so fast ok👍
Barbados is a beautiful Island
It's beautiful
Amazing video.
Great video thanks for sharing !! What camera did you use please ? Thanks
Thanks. All of the equipment I used is in the video description box.
Ok thanks I will check it out.
how do you get the video to stabilize when you are walking?
Hi. I put all of my equipment I used in the video description box. I do need to make a video showing how I set it up. But there are already stabilized setups like a DJI Osmo, or the one GoPro makes.
A gimbal stabiliser would help. GoPro sure helps too.
This is the only Carribbean island that stands tall and proud, they pride themselves on cleanliness, and safe community's for there children to grow up in, unlike jamaica 😎I love bar bee
Ban Powel. Ouch!!!
@@stevenbarrett4110 good
Well the dirty *Jamaica* you spoke of received millions more tourists per year and is 26 times bigger and more beautiful than *Barbados* with rainforest, lakes, desert, dry forests, high mountain elfin forests, Savannah, 100 waterfalls, over 120 rivers, The Blue Mountain Peak is the coldest place in English speaking Caribbean where temperatures hitting the freezing 🥶 point often. The most talented people in the entire Caribbean by far. The most legendary and popular island in the entire Caribbean by miles, the most sightseeing adventures.
Yes *Jamaica* isn't perfect but it's name is far more recognizable than all the islands combined and that's a fact.....🤔
Barbados is not in competition with any of the Caribbean island. It had its own way of doing things, to make life better for its residents. The structure for education was a priority, which meant we were able to advance with that in place. It has nothing to do with size, but forward thinking. I’m a product of that educational system and many others..
@@edithdaniel1969 My partner came to the UK from Barbados, and worked her way up to a highly paid job, barbarians have a reputation as hard working people, and this is more proof
What type of camera is this?
*This is dope!!*
Nice video. Thanks for sharing it.
Could you give an estimated price on how much it cost you to visit here? My boyfriend is from here and I would love to visit.
love your videos man.. keep it up
THATS MY ISLAND!!!!! BIM!!!
I as Dominican man will love to visit in this country
And I would love to visit Dominica...from what I've seen on TV,you have a beautiful country
It's hard to believe that I'm seeing an above average country with predominant black majority
Really changes perspective, not all black countries are like African countries!
Same here. I'm from South Africa and it's corrupt to the core, so much so that you're regarded as an idiot if you don't commit corruption
@@sandile84 wow that's really bad
@@falcongamer58 Botswana is another predominantly black country to keep an eye on and has the highest development in all of Africa. (Middle Development country)
That's quite an achievement for a country that started independence with a handful of two story buildings and 1 paved road.
@@WildsDreams45 thanks
@@WildsDreams45 Seychelles is the most developed country in Africa, not that far off in development from Barbados, and a tax haven too.
that is a nice video bring back memories i from barbados
Very Captiving
When i ever hear barbados. My brain will start like: “rapa papam rapapam rapapam man down, rapa papam pam i just shot a man down in central statio”.
Same
Lmaoo wtf
Ever since I was born i never been to barbados I was born in Barbados but I do not remember any thing I was born in a Queens hospital
Why? Don't your family visit?
حلم حياتي ازور بربادوس الجميله 😭😭😭❤
Very beautiful 😍❤️
I will subscribe if you make your walk more interesting.... for example are you in the east, west, north or south of the city, what is the street name, how much cost what you eat or drink, etc etc etc etc..... make it more exiting!? Then only walking around with a camera in your hand... come one man.
Love my country
Hello, please I need some information on how to travel from UAE to barbados.
U probley should have walked through afternoon times when it is busy with alot of action not early mourning but either way good video Barbados is beutifull
Gang Green this was the afternoon, town is much busier in the morning on week days
Cari Replay I stayed in Barbados for 6 months and between 12 - 6 the city never bin that quite all ways very busy with alot going on looks like mourning time to me kids on the way to school it defiantly not rush hour and kids on the way home that's for sure peace
