These are still classics, the walking work you've done throughout the Americas....I keep coming back to them from time-to-time, as I get a much better sense of the cities than most other videos out there.
That idiot at 11:04 would have never asked any Bajans why are they recording or they would have told him to mind his damn business. He was being "malicious".
Hi Richard thank you for the 2nd part of Bridgetown walk. I have not been to Broad St. since July of 1983 since my child/teen years. I remember a Department store named Fogarty's as soon as you enter Broad St. on your right. It had the tastiest spicy hamburgers as I can recall. Not sure if it was in the Norman Mall or at the Cave Sheppard location. Thanks for sharing and walking down the whole street. My family did not go all the way down the street as I can recall.
No one has said that the little houses are called Chattel houses and why the have that name. Years ago the were the homes of the native Bajons. When they had to change locations for another job they could move there house with them.
@Richard's world traveler, If you had just asked you would know most people in Barbados do go to Work between 6:30 am-4:30 pm they go shopping mostly on Saturdays lol
The funniest experience I've had with a begger in Barbados was outside the BBQ Barn at Warrens. He dudnt have shoes on so gave me 5 Barbados dollars to buy him some food. He quickly went on to say that I would need to make up the difference. The meal he wanted was 16 dollars!!! I had to take my hat off to his ingenuity.
@@mascranegra6903 he actually isnt wrong about the developed part, butbi dont think its the richest, guyana has so much ores and forestation, its probably guyana

3:31 - “Want some girls, man?” This is very sad and offensive that he would offer his own women like this to this man, like they are commodities to be sourced and purchased just like his pineapples and bananas. The death of pride is the death of the soul, my people.
Enjoying your videos although you did not feature many places in st. Lucia as I am from st. Lucia living in the uk it would have been lovely to see home via your videos. I have been to Barbados many years ago. My sister lives in St. Michael’s
Daniel why yall stup Trini thinks Trinidad is the only fucking diverse place in the Caribbean??Every Island as its own uniqueness...Kingston JA has more Sky scrapper and high rises. ,Some parts even Looks like America, malls and high way but bridgetown is cleaner and lest congested..Port of Spain has a first world look but lots of crime and disorder
Mark Watson When I say diversity... I'm talking about culture, race and demographics. I'm not talking about infrastructure. It's a FACT that Trinidad is one if the most diverse countries in the Caribbean. Im not just spewing nonsense. Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guyana, Dominican Republic are also some of the very few countries that are quite diverse as well in that aspect. Have yku seen the makeup of the people in these countries?? Trinidad has a crime problem. Moreso in the north... We know that.
Daniel Thats what am talking about CULTURE!!!The Caribbean is allll diverse..Some are more diverse than some but the CARIBBEAN is all diverse Am Jamaican and i can tell you that we have one of the most unique diversity in the Caribbean ..we may not be as diverse as diverse as Yall but we are very much diverse We have the 4th Largest indu population in the Caribbean behind Trini ,Guyana,Suriname. We have the Largest Chinese population,We got the largest Labanese population ..... So i don't know what diversity has to do with infrastructure. Aint Guyana diverse??So where is the infrastructure???.GET OVER YALL SELF WE KNOW YALL DIVERSE.
Mark Watson you seem to be misunderstanding me maybe cause you're only trying to get your point across. But.... You're the one that brought infrastructure into the argument when... Which made me point out that I was not referring to diversity in terms of infrastructure. Jamaica is about 97% black according to statistics. How can yku even say that Jamaica has the highest concentration of Lebanese and Chinese in the region?? Show me those stats. I'm sure that's false. The Chinese Syrian and Lebanese population in Trinidad is also big. Avoid making statements if you can't back them up with facts
Please you can't compares Barbados to Guyana. Guyana is much. more larger then Barbados. so in any way it take more time to do moer cleaning of the street than Barbados.
I was walking around Rodney Bay today, Sunday, and most places were closed. I went to the Pigeon Island and they closed that for an Octoberfest. I thought about coming back for the Octoberfest, but I think it is going to rain. I walked along the beach of the Sandal Resort today near Pigeon Island, and I think the video will be good. But security wouldn't let me walk around their property. I had to stay near the beach. If you have a route that you want me to walk in Rodney Bay let me know. The rest of the day looks dark and might rain. But I will drive in to Castries today to have a look around and eat. I am thinking about going to Soufriere for 2 days, then come back near Castries for a day. I will see if I can change my plane ticket. I made my ticket for only 6 days here. And my first day was wasted doing nothing.
I would have fed that homeless man a meal fit for a king. I would then take him somewhere to wash, get him some clothes, and then put a roof over his head. That would have made my holiday one to remember. But that's just me I guess 🤷♂️ Many are going hungry, we could be one of them one day with the way things are going 😢 Jesus said "if the poor ask, give to them"

H,i Richard. I love your walking in bridge town, Barbados, what I notice the streets are so clean also the buildings very clean. Why did you turn down the offer of fruits and pussy, I could not stop laughing, you walk into that trap. What a safe place to walk no one to rob you or steal your phone, lovely place, l see the birds sitting on the street light cables, very nice, walks. What I will like you to add to your walks is, Walks in grave yards and look at the head stones that will be so interesting, keep walking and, I will keep watching. Nice walk.
U cant judge an entire country based on one city. Theres a reason barbados does so well in tourism. Look at other videos of barbados to see the rest of the island.
You should travel. I have Barbados many times and it's a Beautiful Island, this is only the city. Unlike many of the other Islands the crime rate is low and you can mingle day or night with the local population

I think he was there way too early. Bridgetown comes to life after 10am.
Well, I don't get out of bed until after 10AM unless I have to. LOL I just checked my video files, and this was 6 October, a Friday at about 2:50PM.

St Michael Cathedral.
I am just interested in this country because I am a Rihanna Navy 🤣
Most women in Barbados relax their hair, their brain programing is to not like their natural hair for some reason
That's black women worldwide. Not. Just barbados.

That's not true, lots of women in that country wear natural hair and locks. That's what I see when I go there and no wigs
dont. be fool .they only shows you the clean part of Barbados. so Guyana is the same.so don't. gets rude
