I can not ask for more. This video makes me want to cry when I look back at all those areas around Bridgetown that I used to walk as a teenager. Very extremely beautiful video. I thank you very much for making this video. Great job
Excellent, excellent stuff my trin/bajan brother..🍺. I'm smiling cause only a true bajan can appreciate what you just did. Great commentary as well. 👍🏿
The new monument that replaced the Nelson statue is called the Monument to the Barbadian Family. Those are shackles being pulled apart by the Ancestral Families of the past show the breaking of the bondage of slavery.
Good day. I just came to your channel fairly recently and am enjoying the content. I especially appreciate the videos you have been doing of the island's towns. Your calm delivery and generally strong knowledge of what you are pointing out. That being said, here are just a few things that, I hope, you will find useful. Firstly, you were officially in the city proper when you drove onto Fontabelle from Holborn Circle, although the historic core of the town from that direction started in Cheapside (there is signage there that shows that). Next, the renamed Mutual Building is now administered by the Cave Hill campus of the U.W.I. Lower Broad Street (not an official designation!) can be considered to start from the traffic lights at the Broad Street/Prince William Henry Street junction heading north in the direction of the aforementioned Dodridge Miller Building overlooking the taxi stand, and beyond to the Lower Green, located in front of St. Mary's Church. The Swing Bridge is now a lift bridge. You might be on safer ground referring to it by its official name: Chamberlain Bridge. The other bridge is the Charles Duncan O'neal Bridge. You didn't mention the Fountain Gardens immediately next to the National Heroes Square or the Cenotaph across the square from the new monument.
