- THIS is the place for a holiday. We are cruising the Caribbean, passing all sorts of tropical islands. Some have nature, some have culture and some just have the most amazing beaches! Barbados is without a doubt the most relaxed island for a family holiday. In this video I'll take you to paradise at Silver Sands Beach. We have a cottage overlooking the Caribbean Sea. We also rent a car, cruise around the entire island and visit all the major sights. We stop at Miami Beach, Brownes Beach, Bridgetown, Paynes Bay, Animal Flower Cave, Bathsheba & the Soup Bowl and Bottom Bay.
In the last episode you saw us on Dominica. CNN Travel listed the island among the most beautiful places on earth. We stayed in a tree house overlooking the jungle, swam through the Titou Gorge (made famous by Pirates of the Caribbean) and we explored the mountains full of waterfalls.
We also visited Guadeloupe, the biggest of the French Antilles. On a road trip we stopped at jungle waterfalls and the most incredible beaches. In Pointe des Châteaux we saw the extreme differences. In a dry rocky area we see pink lakes, high cliffs and a famous cross statue. Be sure to watch these episodes too!
The entire trip started already months ago in the Dominican Republic. We hopped over to Puerto Rico and visited Anguilla, Saint Martin, Saint Barth, Saint Kitts & Nevis and Antigua. After this episode we visit Martinique, Saint Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, Tobago and the Bahamas. Follow us on this Caribbean tour, now on Barbados and then many other beautiful destinations in the Caribbean Sea. I’ve been going to Barbados for decades. The beaches are beautiful but it’s the citizens of BGI that keep me coming back. Of all my travels in the world I have said the people of Barbados are the most genuine,kind and friendly. Fascinating history,excellent restaurants and great local music. Abundance of accommodations available for every budget. ❤

Crane beach is a favorite beach the sand is pink.
Yes we passed by, but it’s more the beach at the big resorts right? I also don’t really fancy the beaches with the beds and the umbrella’s.. but it looked nice though.. 😁 I think Paynes Bay or Bottom Bay where we were all alone is best. Cheers from the family!
We stayed at the Crane Resort when we went in October of last year. So beautiful, and the Bajan people were absolutely amazing. I had a fabulous 8 days there.
@@WoutoftheWorld Oh so glad someone else thinks like me. I have been going to Barbados since a child, and have seen lots and lots of changes. One thing I do not like are the beach chairs and umbrellas, they absolutely spoil the look of the beaches. I can take towels on the beach, that's acceptable.
It makes me laugh when the tourist board advertises the beaches, they show a empty beach that is beautiful to see but the reality is plastic chairs.

This is a well done video! It really shows off the beauty of Barbados. However, you called Paynes Bay the East coast when in fact it is the West Coast of the island.

Can you find a nice hotel close to both amenities and to Browne's Beach and Carlisle Bay, especially as an introductory visit for older visitors (not cruise ship passengers).

Why couldn't you drone in Barbados? I thought they extended the ban in 2020....
You mean expelled? Because if it’s extended you can’t fly right? I had to do different courses to get a permit here in Europe (in 2021) and on the exam one one of the questions was which countries had a complete drone ban. Barbados was one of them 😅 don’t know if it’s changed.
Drone use is generally prohibited in Barbados but it is possible to obtain a permit and get permission to fly a drone.
