@@AFRICANTIGRESS definitely try the rum tour at Mount gay before you leave Barbados

It’s so wholesome to hear an African accent enthusiastically narrating her travels in the Caribbean. Let me gather my 🍿 and 🍹
I don’t know too much about Barbados besides the unique accent so I’m going to LOVE watching this 2 hour vlog. Peace and blessings to both women. #represent
I am a Black American who has travelled quite extensively in the world, including Ghana and Nigeria. Also, I have been going to Barbados for over 27 years. My husband’s Mom is from there. I have never been to a beach I could not access. No private beaches. You can also go into a hotel lobby and ask them how to get to the beach. We have done this many times throughout the years. Barbados is safe and friendly. My home away from home.
Thanks!
My family is from Barbados, it's refreshing to see you travel upon roads I have taken and scenic views I have seen with my own eyes and waters in which I have swam and bathed in done so tastefully all in 4K I miss the Hot Pot my Auntie house is within a stones throw away.. Thank you for giving me a taste of back home. God Bless and keep you.
Glyne is so funny, he definitely lives up to his name as the worlds best tour guide 😂
In Barbados they use the same terminology as South Africa such as....pavement, robots, roti, tawa...love the Barbados lady's accent...could listen to her speak all day...just so beautiful.
I can watch this video every day for a month with out being bored. it's really nice .The driver did a very nice job. ( blessings from Canada )
Your tour Guide is very knowledgeable of Barbados I would love to take a tour with him around Barbados 🇧🇧 thank you for showing beautiful Barbados African tigeress
Barbados is not 14 kilometres wide, but 14 miles wide.
Glad you enjoyed Bajan hospitality and cuisine. Beautiful, Beautiful BARBADOS!
Asa Barbadian , it makes me happy and proud to watch this video . I'm excited that you are enjoying my wonderful island . 🥰❤❤❤❤❤
Wow much love to our favourite kenyan in the carribean ❤ showing off barbados to the world much love a nd respect to African tigress 👍
I’ve enjoyed watching the entire episode. Any country can look beautiful if there’s no litter like this place. By the way, hope you told the lovely brother that Kilimanjaro is in Tanzania & not in Kenya. Thanks for showcasing much of Barbados. We’re the more blessed people who’ve been given this privilege to see places from afar before we actually visit them in person.
Warm welcome bajans are on the run African Tigress One Love from Jamaica 🌈🏃🇯🇲

This 2hr video was excellent and the tour guides did a great job it took me awhile to get through the video because I had to keep rewinding the sceneries and the information but I made it please do more 👍🏿😊

Wow amazing video Tigress! Thank you for sharing the beauty of this island to us!
African Tygress, you reach the Caribbean. You're welcome. Thank you for coming. We love you.
Absolutely beautiful... amazing view of mountains and sea ❤👏.
Barbados has no mountains, only tiny hills.
the tour guide knew what he was talking about, he simply is the best!!!!!!!!
The tour guides is very good, l am living in barbados, and thanks for the great service .there is lots of places l never seen before. Thanks again.
Been to Barbados so many times, more than 10 for sure and I've never been to the north like you guys did. I got to have it on my bucketlist.
10 times you visited Barbados and never visited the North what a shame😂😂
North Point is nice scenery and you should visit Animal Flower Cave
African Tigress you’re lucky to have this amazing guys as your tour guides, lovely, friendly , and welcoming. Thank you for showing us around this beautiful Island, The Barbados .❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️watching from 🇺🇸
The driver or tour guide knows a lot of history about the country. A very intelligent man indeed. But right here in the Uk most of their citizens don’t know shit about their country because the only thing they know is benefits and foreigners working for them.
@@tayobibi Untruths!
@@marjoriedavidson6057 what is not true. It’s the fact. How many English people work. This is why they’re still giving more employment visas for foreigners to come and do their dirty jobs. So they need to stop complaining about mass migration.
Amazing views and buildings. The scenery is so beautiful.
The best driver and tour guides!
Thank you African Tigress, welcome to barbados ❤
I explored the whole island. Lovely
Hello lynn beautiful video today of South side of Barbados and spectacular views 😊 safe travels
Barbados is beautiful
African Tigress, You are phenomenal! ❤️ You offer such a unique perspective and in depth coverage to RUclips filming! As a Bajan, 🇧🇧 I am happy to see you as an African in the Caribbean! You mentioned Kenya 🇰🇪 was colonized by the British 🇬🇧 as was Barbados. It's important to recognize as people birthed in Africa 🌍 and those of us of African descent in the Caribbean, we fueled the world! The physical stolen African labor due to slavery in the Caribbean and colonization in Africa, brought wealth to those who did NOT earn it! Moreover, the economic exploitation of Africa's resources also served to unjustly enrich Europe which in itself is resource poor!
I say all of that to reinforce my gratitude to you for
this vlog. I hope soon the Caribbean will have direct flights ✈️ to Africa 🌍 so that more of us could bridge the gap between the Atlantic that most of our ancestors crossed through in unbearable conditions to restore our connection.
I am currently reading "How Europe Underdeveloped Africa" 🌍 by the late Walter Rodney who was assassinated in his birthplace of Guyana 🇬🇾.
The tour guide shared a wealth of information but in some cases he is not correct. Barbadians do not pay taxes on property valued under $300K and there is a Land Tax Relief Board where land owners can appeal and get Tax relief. His comments about persons being forced off their land is misinformation and it is reckless.
Lovely vibe video!!
Loved it!! 'It's NOT like medicine'!!!😂😂😂
❤
I don’t know what you are talking about, because my family have land in Barbados and none of them is worth 300k and we pay plenty land taxes every year. You know something that I don’t know.
@@isoleneevans319are you saying your family are Barbadian nationals or that you own property in Barbados?
Whilst he shared lots of info, I thought that he could have slowed down and allow the guest to have a detailed look at what he talking about
And most people r still kind not like hear

Barbados is absolutely stunning. I wish I could go there. The way I love Jamaican food and the people , it's so unfair South Africa does not have any restaurants or influencers.. My taste buds have never been the same since that first bite of Jerk chicken..
Lovely country side scenery
Great episode Lynn. Great tour guide and the choice of music was AWESOME! You should create a Lynn playlist. Expose us ignorant ones to the vibes of The Motherland.😊

This was such an amazing video, thank you for sharing Barbados. I hope one day I'll make it there also.
I love roast breadfruit aka breshe that is fried with ackee and saltfish. Yummy!
Since Barbados was the most easterly island in the Caribbean, and the first stop for the ships coming across the Atlantic Ocean from West Africa, the plantations in Barbados got the first pick from the among the newly landed enslaved people. This geographical advantage allowed the British planters to select the most docile of the enslaved people. Since this group of enslaved people was more easily controlled, rebellion was less likely or less effective, thus securing the plantation systems in Barbados. Some people argue that due to this ancestry, Barbadians today are passive or inert in response to injustice. Others may counter that Barbadian society benefits from taking an intellectual approach to advocacy rather than using physical aggression. It remains an open argument but in no way does the outcome justify the misuse and abuse of African and (eventually) Caribbean people throughout the centuries.
Untrue. British brought slaves to Barbados. French brought slaves to French islands, Spanish to Spanish islands, Dutch to Dutch islands. Slaves from various tribes went to Barbados as in other islands.
@@listenup2882 She is correct. Bajans use diplomacy in stead of physical aggression. The people in Barbados are some of the most educated people in the world.
Barbados had plenty of uprisings during colonization. The most recent being the riots of 1937.
That makes sense why they are so quiet. I noticed that when I visited how reserved they were.
I asked them but they weren't aware.
The British sent the rebellious slaves to Jamaica. Oh they paid a price for that mistake. They rebelled and burned down the plantations. They couldn't managed them.
Please don't take our MEEKNESS FOR WEAKNESS ... WE would rather use OUR BRAINS RATHER THAN BRAWNS.
KEEP NOISE RARELY GETS YOU RESULTS, eg. African Americans, protests for YEARS BUT STILL HAVE TO BE USING THAT METHOD with MINIMAL RESULTS 😮😢
This elder Jamaican thanks you for showing me other aspects of the Caribbean I would not otherwise see. I respect the tour guides knowledge and enthusiasm, just wish he'd emphasize the African links over the British. It's a personal thing. Other than that, I have to say that, for me, the Barbados flag is by far the most beautifully designed flag in the world, it is just FIRST CLASS.
Regarding land tax. Surely that's government's territory. How then, can anyone increase the tax ten fold, and push people off the land? That's unheard of. As an aside, Barbados at 169 square miles is 22 square miles larger than the Gaza strip where CNN reports more than 2.5 million people live, that number is shocking and questionable of course. However Barbados is smaller than Jamaica's second smallest parish, Hanover at 174 square miles. I try to imagine 2.5 million people living in Hanover, or Barbados, and develop brain freeze. UNIMAGINEABLE.
_"Regarding land tax. Surely that's government territory."_
The problem is that government is made up of individuals who can easily be corrupted by money. People who have wealth can purchase government officials and have their will levered through government. This happens all over the world...
That's an interesting perspective about the size of Barbados to Jamaica. The maps must be distorting Island sizes. To the naked an as a born Jamaica, In my mind we were a little closer in size.
@@MA-yh2ko Google my friend, Google. From school memory now, Jamaica is 4,411 square miles.
@@vittmanvittman4915 Someone please help me out, this just doesn't compute. Maybe I'm old and stupid, but while I accede to the former, the latter won't stick. Prop taxes usually rise by single digit percentage points, but let's say, for the purposes of this debate, an individual's tax is doubled, since no one's income/pension is EVER doubled, that's cause right there for a lot of noise. Prop tax is levied across the board, so that is a lot of noise rising to a lot of stink. On that basis, which individual is going to have his tax rise ten fold, and go down without one almighty fight. I can't wrap my mind around this, doesn't make sense.
@@stevenbarrett4110 Corrupt officials in Gov't might make it make more sense.
I love mauby although it’s bitter. Barbados is really a beautiful island, I hope to visit Barbados one day. When you go to the islands you have to get water coconut. N
I LOVE Mauby when prepared properly, good for Kidneys/urinary tract😋
I never gave thought to the graveyard thing at all. ha ha Here in Jamaica, we have family plots too . My father and grandparents, aunt and nephew who died at childbirth are interred in our small family plot. There is a small graveyard at my church, we had to get permission from the local authority to have it established. Your tour guide has the island locked as far as the history is concerned. Nice vlog.
@jasonforsythe9851, when i buried my dad in Manchester in 2018, we has to bury him in a cemetery. It's becoming more difficult to bury on your land because of the said reason the man from Barbados said. My personal opinion, small islands should move towards cremation instead of burying.
@@JamaicanTribe I realize they are trying to stop the family plots. Depending on where it is located they usually ask pple with adjoining property to give consent as well. By the way, I am from Manchester ha ha
Hi Ladies, I m happy to find yr vlog, accidentally. You are very cabable tour guides✌️. I also loved your tour guide, the liking not dependable if his stories were precise or all true. But he knew how to present his stories and brought valuable value add to your tour. Never thought add Barbados to my travel bucket list, but... need to reconsider this. Its part of British Colonial history, so English is well spoken. Waiting for yr nxt vlog with curiosity👍. Take care..
We want to go to Africa. We want direct flights to Africa.
My God I love this country, good roads clean,no trash by the road sides even an empty can. Beautiful beautiful beautiful
There is very little crime.
Best road trip ever!!! Good job AT!!!

Herr watching. Nice to see this beautiful Barbados
You're doing a great job 💯 promoting the island of Barbados.🎉
Physical facts: Barbados is 21 miles long at its longest point which is from north to south and 14 miles at its widest point.....east to west.
Total land area is 166 square miles/425 square kilometers which can also be expressed as roughly 104,000 acres.
Lynn I thoroughly enjoy your tour of Barbadoes I am from Guyana which is very close to Barbados but I can’t even in there one on a cruise ship your tour of Barbados has motivated me to take a trip thank you so very much❤
Knowledgeable Tour guides. This is Beautiful!❤ Been to Barbados once. Didn't see this side. We stayed in Christchurch, went to St Michael, St James, St Peter & St Lucy. I hope to visit again. Can't wait😊
This is taking me down memory lane. I did this last year August, took a ride in the local bus from Spicetown all the way up to Batsheba and back. It was a wonderful ride. I like riding the local busses whenever I travel to the island, just lovely.
In Jamaica a single banana is called a ‘finger’. A grouping of attached "fingers" make up a "hand" of bananas. Multiple hands that grow in a cluster are called a ‘bunch’. A bunch of bananas may contain 3 to 20 hands!
Nice breakdown.😊
Not in Jamaica, but most Carribean islands...get that right,..
@@ashleyogarro2686 I’m not familiar with what they call fruits or veg in ‘most Caribbean islands’, hence why I refer to the island that I know and am familiar with - ie Jamaica! If that offends you then you of course are free to speak about all of the ‘most Caribbean islands’ to which you refer!

The tropical systems eg hurricanes that usually end up in the Caribbean region between June and November annually always develop off the coast of the Cape Verde islands.
Hi! my young sister, may the Lord our God guard and protect you.
I appreciate your work. This country, inhabited mainly by deported Africans, is developing.
I see that the country is clean and well built. What bothers me is that some African countries, rich in mineral and other resources, are unable to develop. How sad!
“Deported” 🤔
They’re unable to develop themselves due to wicked leaders and politicians running the countries like cartels. Barbados is developer because their lots of British living there and their visa free to the Uk and even the United States.
Barbados is like Miami, Florida
