  • Wow! I'm just so glad I could upload it, WMM has been awful lately!
    I may reupload it later with some adjustments, but I can't do it now or my computer will suffer! ^^
    Once I saw the video "littlemissunnydale" uploaded, and I was very moved that Elizabeth kept such a fond memory of her mother even though she lost her so young...
    So basically what I wanted to do her was to show the life Anne Boleyn had before Elizabeth and there relationship.
    So many similitudes can be found in there lives, I tried to combine them, that's kind of the last part of the vid...
    It didn't turned out as good as I hoped it would but I still like it... ;)
    Thanks for watching it! Comments are always a pleasure!

    You have to love the poetics of the Tudor Family. The son Henry had to have barely ruled.The daughter who Henry shunned most was the hair he needed Kathrine who was beloved by the people had a daughter who most hated,
    Anne Boleyn who was hated by most people had a daughter who most loved.

    Elizabeth and Mary are half-sisters. Mary had a lot of anger in her due to her father, who wanted a male heir. When Elizabeth was born, she was no longer a Princess, she was titled as Lady. When Anne, Henry's second wife, was beheaded, Elizabeth, lost her title of Princess. Both girls were forgotten. Its sad to think of what both of them went though. Mary had more anger in her and it spread, when she was crowned Queen. Elizabeth, when she was Queen, had nothing to do with men.

    Henry was a redhead (along with much of his family. Catherine of Aragon and Mary I also had red/auburn hair they just never show it unless you watch Elizabeth R). Anne Boleyn was actually very dark, course black hair and alittle tan, that is what was recorded by the ambassadors, Tudors wouldn't have been as sexy if Henry VIII was 300 pounds the last season and Mary actually looking much older.

    No she didn't counter reformation propaganda, like Thomas Evans said, they didn't exhume the body until Victoria I. The documents about her having moles, an extra finger, her slapping the head of Fisher and More after execution are all counter reformation. It was not just to discredit her but also use her as a central reason for it, there where other conflicts that caused the break from Rome, this was just the central one. Reformation started before Anne in Europe.

    @MsCareuhbee It's the theme of 'The Virgin Queen' written as a poem by Elizabeth I to a Spanish prince she was meant to be married too, but she was forced to cancel the wedding so she wrote this as a sort of unofficial apology! The song itself is performe by the Medieval Babes and is fantastic.

    In college, I read that Anne had alienated Princess Elizabeth and felt disappointed that she was not the son that she had promised Henry.

    • @molarmama32
      @molarmama32 9 лет назад +3

      Catherine tt I never said it was Elizabeth's fault. I was the first born, (naturally a daughter) and I took over my father's business. My dad was against it, but I did it anyway, in a male dominated world. I was talking about a few authors' opinions on Anne's reaction to her birthing a daughter AFTER she had so dearly promised H8 a son.

    • @brontewcat
      @brontewcat 8 лет назад +21

      Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I disagree the actress is ugly. Furthermore Elizabeth was not conventionally beautiful, rather she was attractive. Having beautiful or even pretty women play her would historically inaccurate.

    • @DenaInWyo

      Wow..there is nothing I would ever consider ugly about Cate Blanchett. Her portrayal is my favorite.

    • @chooseyourpoison5105

      Elizabeth wasn't beautiful in real life (neither was Anne for that matter) and the red hair combined with the shaved eyebrows, which were the fashion at the time, probably look strange to our modern eyes - but her real beauty lay in her intelligence, her charm and her forceful personality.
