The tiefling 5e is one of the nine core races in Dungeons & Dragons.. It is a humanoid race with close ties to the lower planes. The name derives from the German word “tief”, which means low. It is also believed that the name may refer to the German word “Teufel” or devil. In either case, the implication is the same: these are humanoids with devil-like ancestors. Christopher Perkins from DnD confirmed that the correct tiefling pronunciation is “TEEF-ling”.

I'm currently playing a tiefling sorceress in a friend's homebrew world. I usually fall into a rut of playing silent, stoic characters, so playing the charismatic, outgoing pyromaniac for a change is really fun 😁

Right now, I'm playing a tiefling artificer and it's been fun so far :) I made him a local, adopted by dwarfs at a young age and thus leaning more towards good but still chaotic.

In my game world Tiefling horns are like fingerprints--no two are exactly alike.

Man I just found this channel through your sorlock video (considering one for my next campaign) and your videos are great! So glad I stumbled on it. Tieflings are my favorite race and you summarized then very well.

One of my long-term characters was a Glasya Tiefling Arcane Trickster rogue. It was a fun character, playing off the rapscallion type that could talk his way out of things if (or, ore likely, when) things went wrong. Some interesting role playing elements while playing through Descent into Avernus

I have a Tiefling Wizard (Sage/Professor) with a neutral alignment - the INT+ has been great with spellcasting and I'm really enjoying the gameplay. :)

The first time I saw tieflings was in the Fiend Folio as being a result of a human/succubus union.

For a Paladin I like the Zariel Variant Tifeling. +1 to Str and a racial smite spell

Decent for having two slots for a long rest but bards get more slots than Pallys anyway, and much better spell and school list. Would also be good on a swashbuckler. Think they as well as college of swords both get extra attack. Not for certain on the swashbuckler though.

You know ive searched Tieflings out with the spesific question of " how powerful can they inherently be" and (while the information is useful for character creation), the only info i get is about character creation. Its never really delving deep into how truly powetful a Tiefling player can get. But I suppose this could mean, that what ever the origin of their inherent abilitirs may be, it depends on many different factors, what type of power is ur DM willing to give to a Tiefling, their ancestry, and ur imagination about their nifty little quirks.

Man the last time I played D&D was 3.5 rules. Then again I started playing with Gary Gygax rules. Looks like I need to upgrade before I start playing again. I have to admit a Tiefling sounds fun to play.

College of swords gives you two attacks + slots for smites if you went Zariel.
You can also get stuff like spirit guardians, wind walk, find greater stead, armor of Agythys though magical secrets.

I came up with two Tiefling concepts, the first was a Life domain cleric whose charisma is helpful for persuasion checks convincing people that she'll heal not hurt. The second was a bladesinger wizard who I would roleplay sort of like Obi-wan Kenobi from Star Wars.
