They should make a small section of mods that we can use without disabling trophies, sure we have creation club but there are still many people who make the game ten times better who dont get there mods safely into creation club
I've never done modding simply because I was always to afraid I'd mess up my console or the game. Thanks to you I felt super comfortable and excited to download these mods. When I saw them for myself, as someone who has played skyrim for years, I cried when looking at the end result. They reminded me of my childhood magical dungeon and early era open world games that just absolutely swim in nostalgia. Thanks so much!!!
I'll second Luminosity, which also works with Relighting Skyrim. I like the darker dungeon interiors that ELE provides (it makes torches and light spells actually useful), but ELE also makes 'friendly' interiors terribly dark. Luminosity is a good middle ground, especialky if you adjust your brightness level down.
Not only that, he actually explains every mod really well and warns you that some mods could affect your gameplay in a negative way, instead of just "uga buga dense grass good"... respect for this man really
I played Skyrim on the ps3 (I didn’t have a PS4 yet) when I got a ps4, the first thing I did was get Skyrim, my ps3 broke and I was pretty upset, when I booted up the game, all the nostalgia came flooding back and what made it better was the fact that now I could get packs from the creation club and download mods! For those of you who prefer Surreal Lighting, I've loaded Surreal followed by Obsidian Weathers and/or the standalone weather modules from Rustic Weathers and Lighting; that gives you the super saturated colors of Surreal Lighting with vastly improved weather effects. Obsidian mountain fogs is also a lightweight addition to your load order that will add those thick, swirling mists around your mountains.
@@verywhite6372 I am indeed on the Pro; the independent modules from Rustic Weathers will work with Surreal Lighting, I assure you-try those out! I would caution against using Darkness Falls with Dolomite because the nights will be utterly pitch black.
It's not a graphical mod, but (Increased Population) is one highly immersive mod. It can be a bit heavy in Whiterun though. But the difference it has in the taverns all over Skyrim is huge and really makes the world feel more alive, people take on jobs, extra traders, extra followers etc..All throughout the land.
Don't forget "TLS Insectopia" and "Glowtastic" to go with the mods in this video... maybe MA's Combined Lantern Mods by munzuradam instead for a better night life!

I think Surreal Lighting and all the towns by Ozy are my absolute favorite Mods for Skyrim so far. Hobbiton is awesome as well for everyone who likes The Hobbit or just wants a nice little unique place to live
Okay my friend. This is the resident Nana here and I have had several of these mods pulled up but always chicken out on downloading them. I am nervous that they will mess up the game. I have a REAL problem if my game starts to studder a lot or if it freezes more than normal, so I chicken out. But I trust you! I am going to download these mods (except for the ones you said were buggy) cause I want my game to look as good as yours. I play Skyrim from the time I get up, until it is time for bed. Use TLS No Wind and Falling Leaves Remove to counter his "performance drop" because chances are he's just using windy skyrim or too much eye candy. Lol
For people who don't like that blue and green theme on whiterun, I would recommend Kato's whiterun. However, I would recommend saving as soon as you enter whiterun for the first time as it could crash.
I also recommend increased draw distance, basically just makes everything render correctly at a longer range, which removes the ugly blurry texture from distant trees and mountains

I've made a couple graphical showcases for xbox1 and thought I'd look into doing the same for PS4, but I see you've already got that area well covered, well done- subbed!
After trying all weather and lighting mods I stuck with Mythical Ages. It alone without adding anything else already makes Skyrim look like a completely different current gen game. I never tire of looking at it, the completely new colors and effects it injected made me fall in love with exploring Skyrim all over again, even after thousands of hours of previous playtime.

Instead of using Ivarstrad and Riverwood mod by ozymandy I would recommend Kato's Ivarstead and Kato's Riverwood both by Jaeryan. I reccomend these for those who need to run both areas smoother

I wish that was the case, but no. Skyrim on PS4 Pro runs at native 2160p resolution, and it has a lot of fps drops on PS4 Pro. Bethesda should've applied an option where you could choose between 4K mode, 1080p 30 fps mode (or 1440p) and 1080p 60 fps mode. That would've rocked, but unfortunately Bethesda is too lazy to do something like this.
I would also like to recommend fos(forest of Skyrim) mod witch add more trees to forests and It looks so much better and also white run a city full of life it is one of the best mods in my own icon it adds more plant life and its butiful

Don't know if this will help. I had the same problem. I went and bought a used, "reset" PS4 and a New Special Edition Skyrim game and I have not had any (knock on wood) issues since then. I have now started adding mods and still going strong.
Some of these I already have and some I'm going to try. Tried Dense Grass, but then uninstalled it. That mod makes it almost impossible to find dead bodies you want to loot. Ozymandy's Ivarstead looked awesome, but all the text became gibberish. What I mean by that is when you look at it on the map, it should say Ivarstead, but you get some weird symbols instead. That's also true for all text within the town. Had to get rid of that one too. You did give me some mods to try out though, so thanks for that.
If I install most of these if not all, could I expect a smooth gameplay? Like generally speaking will the gameplay be decent? Or will it often crash and be really laggy
I'm gonna try a few of these mods except the lighting mods. Ive already used the obsidian mod before with the lamp post of Skyrim and while I loved the sky at night I hate that it makes everywhere pitch black at night or inside dungeons and crap. Some people may be into using torches constantly or not seeing right infront of them in a game but I ain't one of them.

Nope, I'm really not that great at understanding the load order to be honest. Just read the mod descriptions, if they need to go in a specific place in the load order the mod author will usually tell you in the description.
I would also like to know what the best mods for keeping frame rate up as well. I know of a couple on ps4 but I don't have a pro and a lot of slow down happens when multiple things are going on at the same time
I'm not at home, so I can remember the exact name of the mod, but there is a great mod that removes all underwater foliage; I had a huge fps boost once I installed it (less assets in-game that you never see anyway). There us also Gray's Riften Cleanup, which helps performance in Riften specifically. Hope those help!

It's too bad that using these quality of life mods still disables trophies. I've yet play this, but I'd surely love to, using these mods but would hate to miss out on trophies. It's not like they are cheats!

Nathlar theres a modder, thebeastrivera on ps4, he made some really good mods for PS4, vampirism overhaul, there lots of things from the witcher e Castlevania, some New Powers for dragonborn, you should make a video about some of his mods, It will be nice, the spells are really creatives due the PS4 limitations

I used to like using ELE Lighting Interior mod. It made the game look amazing. I stopped using it when I first tried out being a werewolf in a dungeon and I couldn't see anything. There was a staircase in front of me and I literally kept running into walls. Also, it sucked when I needed to carry around a torch in my Whiterun player home lol

ELE is not the only interior lighting mod for Skyrim. Relighting Skyrim is a great choice and works perfectly alongside ELE.
I'm currently using Luminosity Lighting Overhaul for interior lighting. I recommend it.

All of these mods are originally for pc. Modders just are so nice to port them for consoles too if possible.

The blood splash edition is not realistic though. I use the spark impact edition with Increase Blood Amount its way better.
IA92's Realistic Darkness with vanilla bightness setting turned down by 4 notches is AMAZING

You should do sum mods that add new realistic armors to NPC's not just the players if there is any

ELE interior made my lakeview manor pitchblack -cant see a thing.
I use a light version for people having pitch black areas. Just look uo illuminosity lighting overhaul light.

Some of these I already have and some I'm going to try.
Tried Dense Grass, but then uninstalled it. That mod makes it almost impossible to find dead bodies you want to loot. Ozymandy's Ivarstead looked awesome, but all the text became gibberish. What I mean by that is when you look at it on the map, it should say Ivarstead, but you get some weird symbols instead. That's also true for all text within the town. Had to get rid of that one too.
You did give me some mods to try out though, so thanks for that.

If I install most of these if not all, could I expect a smooth gameplay? Like generally speaking will the gameplay be decent? Or will it often crash and be really laggy

might be a little late. the only thing i have had a problem with is the riverwood mod. it kills the frame rate

I'm gonna try a few of these mods except the lighting mods. Ive already used the obsidian mod before with the lamp post of Skyrim and while I loved the sky at night I hate that it makes everywhere pitch black at night or inside dungeons and crap. Some people may be into using torches constantly or not seeing right infront of them in a game but I ain't one of them.

I mean, this was made a long time ago. When this came out the graphics were pretty much unreal. Now that they have more experience, time and money they can focus on making some more better games. Most of their games are rushed tho (fallout 76)

Now I have a choice have a good looking skyrim but having a very loud ps4 or a normal looking skyrim but with a calm ps4

Nope, I'm really not that great at understanding the load order to be honest. Just read the mod descriptions, if they need to go in a specific place in the load order the mod author will usually tell you in the description.

I would also like to know what the best mods for keeping frame rate up as well. I know of a couple on ps4 but I don't have a pro and a lot of slow down happens when multiple things are going on at the same time
I'm not at home, so I can remember the exact name of the mod, but there is a great mod that removes all underwater foliage; I had a huge fps boost once I installed it (less assets in-game that you never see anyway). There us also Gray's Riften Cleanup, which helps performance in Riften specifically. Hope those help!
God rays and grass removal mods are what I use on my slim, and frame rate stays top notch with just those, but that's all I know of

It's too bad that using these quality of life mods still disables trophies. I've yet play this, but I'd surely love to, using these mods but would hate to miss out on trophies. It's not like they are cheats!
Gigolocalypse TV just get the platinum on vanilla in one play through then you can install all the mods you want, that’s what I did
@@trippyz2072 Well that's pretty much what you have to do. But, as I said, it would be nice to enjoy that journey with these mods but can't. It's unfortunate, because it would be a cool way to experience the game and, as I said, it's not they are cheats. But I'll still play the Vanilla version, at some point, and then give the mods a go

Nathlar theres a modder, thebeastrivera on ps4, he made some really good mods for PS4, vampirism overhaul, there lots of things from the witcher e Castlevania, some New Powers for dragonborn, you should make a video about some of his mods, It will be nice, the spells are really creatives due the PS4 limitations

To me Ive always thought it did and conflicted with landscape/grass mods. I never liked it because it makes your game look empty.

I used to like using ELE Lighting Interior mod. It made the game look amazing. I stopped using it when I first tried out being a werewolf in a dungeon and I couldn't see anything. There was a staircase in front of me and I literally kept running into walls.
Also, it sucked when I needed to carry around a torch in my Whiterun player home lol
