Skyrim has had thousands of mods release for it since 2011, however The Elder Scrolls 5's biggest modding project is still yet to come. Beyond Skyrim is an increadible endeavor that sets to recreate the majority of Tamriel (and some places beyond) in the Skyrim engine. Today we'll be taking a deep dive into the Beyond Skyrim project and updating on its progress.

nah actually not...it has been years since they have said that atmora/roscrea is the closest to release AFTER the prerelease for high rock none of which is out yet. So if we get another year before we get a single pre-release city for high rock or morrowind then chances are that itll take another few years for atmora....at that speed, high rock/daggerfall, and cyrodiil will not come out till like 6+ years from now...and forget regions that don't really have a lot of people working on it. By then I fear skyrim will just be so old that it will ahve finally not have enough players to really make mods like this worth it compared to just moving to newer games.

Jeremy Brayman ok so you’re going to want to do a bit of searching on nexus, which is a mod sharing website, a few RUclips videos should help you get set up with the mod installer and skse. Which is a script extender required for quite a few mods there. Sorry if this isn’t as in depth as you would have liked but it’s a bit hard to explain, really just make a nexus account, install the nexus mod installer, and watch a few videos on downloading skse and an ENB (Which enhances graphics) Good luck!

Meh. I'd rather get myself the ring of burden at the bottom of the well to disenchant it & re-enchant unto my companion's equipment so they don't get much in the way whilst also being a good archer that stays a good distance away. Maybe even forcing them to use magic where they otherwise would not.

The Dragonborn went from badass monster slayer to professional politician real fast.
Well, they did join the Companions and then the Thieves Guild in just a few hours, so badass dragonslayer to politician isn't to surprising

Mine went from a Dragonslayer, a Companion, Dawnguard member, a Vampire Lord, a Werewolf again, a Thieves Guild member, a Nightingale of Nocturnal, a Dark Brotherhood Assasin, and that's about it so far. However, I am pretty sure I'll become a leader of every.
Also if you take rigmor of cyrodiil as canon he becomes Emperor of the empire

And i'm pretty sure that, even if we take usual game release delay and the effects of covid into account, it will probably be released before 2025, unless Zenimax or Bethesda delayed the game past 2029 in some press event that i am not aware of, which does not seem very likely?

Its been somewhat confirmed they are trying to get Valenwood and Summerset into the main project eventually. And Black Marsh is officially being worked on.
I mean yeah, but this video was made in June, not August. Before those announcements were mainstream. My guess is that Valenwood and Summerset are in a pre-pre-production state. Kinda like how TES 6 is currently. Probably the devs from Atmora and Morrowind might end up and join whatever amount of developers that Black Marsh and the rest of them when they're done with them. That is if they ever return to modding and developing the rest of Tamriel. Hell, the Beyond Skyrim devs might just make another expansion to the mod in space or something, judging by how ambitious they are.

They can’t be bought out since it’s purely volunteer work and a collaborative project. Unless Bethesda found some way to pay every single individual contributor that had come and go over the years of the projects development than I don’t think they can be realistically bought out

Many bethesda games contain features that were mods in previous games.
The only thing that may be difficult about this mod, and the way it sounds, just to download the mod you’ll basically be downloading 4 different games as well as Skyrim Itself

That would be an awful idea. You would get a game every couple centuries haha. But I totally respect what they are trying to do with Skyrim even if it never sees the finish line
I think there's a clause in Skyrim's TOS that forbids you from publishing anything using their engine or assets for profit.
Going through the legal procedure to mantain a company is just a waste of time and money if they can't sell it in the end.
Also, it allows for much more flexibility in acquiring talent. No employment contract, thus no obligations like health insurance, wages and such. It's all volunteer work.
The drawback is that the people involved can't sustain themselves by developing the mod. Therefore, they can't put 8h of work on it everyday.

@@thegamingarmy7225 Yeah modding is definately better, but console still has many benefits generally speaking. There is at least PS4 Toolkit to convert PC mods to PS4 (found it when I modded my fiancée's and it looks and plays great without even using that). Not sure what console you're on, but maybe I can find something for your console. Obviously if you mess something up it's on you, and good luck.

Nah, they are better off making their own game. It would be 10 times better than anything Bethesda puts out and I guarantee you it'll have less bugs and more to do. And considering the amount of people that are working on Beyond Skyrim, making a game would be pretty easy.
I WOULD be surprised if they did, b/c do we all remember the horror that was Fallout 76? I think that hiring competent people to do a good job of things is against their corporate culture at this point.
Don't forget Beyond Skyrim: Black Marsh! True it will probably come out by 2030, since it just started development last year, but it is probably going to be the most obscure of all the projects, and it's going to be almost the size of Skyrim.

Yep, Looks like it. Surprisingly, it might also include the playable areas of both of the countries of High Rock and Hammerfall as well. And apparently its being called “Redfall”, but we probably won’t see it before 2024, at the earliest.

20 years later, I can still see and hear the Dunmer woman with the long, bland colored robe pulling a dagger and howling "YOU N'WAAAAHHHH!!" as she charges towards me.
Sadly i do not recall the voice actress name, but bravo to her, that her voice has stuck with me from Morrowind(and from other games in the series also) all this time.

I mean with the recent disaster that was Fallout 76, players are rightfully uneasy for ES6 and Starfire, so if ES6 ends up disappointing the player base, at least there will be Beyond Skyrim to help

@@RUclipscanfuckagoat I have hope because of two reasons : Fallout 76 was such a disaster they're gonna try a lot harder to make TES6 good, and also because DOOM Eternal was INSANELY good, and they may get ID to help them with tes6. Zenimax did online so it could happen

This is immensely impressive. What a monumental undertaking that is, I will be stunned if it’s ever finished and it’s actually good, because I can only imagine how complex an idea like this must be to implement.
Its going to take a long time since its volunteer work and you cant force someone to work on provinces they dont want to work on, but apart from that - its still coming along and its coming along smoothly.

When this will come out, I’ll finally have the real possibility of hurting the family of the argonian innkeeper (in Riften). I will have the possibility of going to southern Morrowind and finding out where the farm is located.
This project is the epitome of "don't do that, don't give me hope."
It is for me, anyway. I truly wish the best of luck to these teams and I hope they can make this dream come true. I have similar feelings to the Skywind and Skyblivion projects, and I recall someone was working on a Valenwood mod (Nate covered them before) and there's also a Summerset Isle one being developed (currently released, but the dev was expanding it even further.) There is so much talent and potential, but I can't help but remain skeptical of their progress. I want them to succeed--I truly do, but I don't want to wait years only to be disappointed if the projects die.
So guys, please. Don't do that. Don't give me hope.
When Bethesda hasn’t released a real Elder Scrolls game (Online doesn’t count) in 9 years - we make our own Elder Scrolls 6. Eat dust Bethesda.

I love and still play skyrim and the lore of the series is really interesting. So I can't wait to play through everything beyond skyrim has to offer in terms of scenery, concepts and if they tied in certain lore. It sounds like they are doing great and from what they've shown I'm itching to dive in. Elsewyr and the high rock-hammerfell areas are probably my biggest anticipations with the altmora area not too far behind. Love your channel and everything you've done to fill in some of lore gaps and the items and spouses vids btw, keep it up.
gonna definitely be interesting when released... though i honestly hope its done as each section by itself... ie maps load independent for each zone... as well as being separate downloads for each zone... would also like to see the original Morrowind game remastered for Skyrim graphics....maybe a few extra/new quests as well....

I can't wait for this to be complete. I want to take my character everywhere, explore everything. I'll have to download the Bruma pre-release when I have more hotspot. Skyrim is my all-time favorite game so far. And the mods keep making it better.

What I think is so amazing about this is it basically turns Skyrim into a single player ESO but with more. I’ve been wanting to see Atmora for some time now and maybe someday Bathesda will come out with a game around Akavir and the snake folk. This could really go somewhere and it honestly would not surprise me if Bathesda were to buy the rights to all of the modding content going toward Beyond Skyrim and actually add it to creation club as one huge mod.
