One day I found my guppy, very lethargic and grew suspicion in me. On thorough examination I found worms near the fish and red colour on its abdomen, upon which I quarantined it. Following your suggestion I put a very very small amount of garlic. The next day I found It perfectly alright, moving and healthy

Could you please help me identify a worm I found swimming in the water when I disturbed my substrate? I'm afraid that it might be a camallanus worm. It looks very similar to the one in the following video:

The thing is that I don't have fish in my tank yet. I only have a dwarf crayfish and some snails. Could what I found still be a camallanus worm? I know they have a free-living stage in their lifecycle.

It's not my own video unfortunately, but the worm I found looked similar and had similar movement as well.

I’m so glad I found your video. Recently some of my guppy fry died and I noticed they have white long poop. Will start to treat my other fish with this method. Is there a possibility that all of them got infected? I also have Assassin snails in my tank is garlic safe for them?

@@ma.eileenmendoza699 right amount will not ! And if you will add more than fish can take .. you will see it in their behaviour. So keep aged water with if your fish Start showing unusual behaviour bcz of garlic and do 30-40 % water change after few minutes of it!
Safe as for human, excess amount can hurt both human and fish!

Yes. You can use this method for all tropical fishes. Use half piece of garlic for 20 Gallon tank.

OK alright. One piece of garlic will be enough. Treat daily for 3 days.
Unfortunately salt will do nothing for the parasites, thats why they are such a pain in the ass because they are hard to get rid of, best bet is to deworm the fish and bleach all of the tank and equipment as in as well, i heard hydrogen peroxide works well for killing the larva on live plants if you were running those also

The pet store advised me to use PraziPro for treatment.
My 90% guppies get healthy after this treatment. I have no idea about Prazipro. You can also use iodine free natural salt.

You should use one piece of garlic, in the same way, for 40 litre tank.

I used to have the same technique by using garlic to get rid if internal parasites from my guppies. However, the garlic not only killed the parasite but the guppies as well.
It depends upon the Aquarium size and amount of garlic you add. Of course it may kill the guppies if u add excessive amount of garlic.

Thats why you watch how much garlic you add, if thats to much trouble then get garlic gaurd by seachem or garlic powder from whatever big box store is near you

You are welcome. If your fish is already suffering from internal parasites then you must feed this on daily basis for 3 days and put her in separate tank and add little amount of epsom salt and air stone also.

@@smarikarai4836 Yes treat all of them in quarantine tank ! As they may have other disease and will spred in your other fishes ! And next tell shop keeper to turn off colorful lights and ask them to show in bright white light ! No dead fish in bottom or no sick fish in that aqurium ! And also add sea salt in it and remove plants before adding salt then this garlic treatment
I use this method for 1 week now everyday i feed them a small amount of pellet soaked in garlic juice after a few days I saw my guppies swimming with looks like a white poop in it I dont know if it’s a good sign tha he release the parasite or not?
White poop is the sign of parasites. You need to continue this treatment twice a week. It will remove parasites soon.
What about if we feed them the crushed raw garlic without adding their food
You can feed them like this but some fish might not like it.

No.its not possible. I repeat this procedure periodically. Your Guppies might suffered from acute parasites so it doesn't help in serious conditions.
I used this for my guppy does this turn turn poop black. That’s what color it is after a day after consuming
