It’s from plantation days…. Floor mirror that allowed the ladies to check if ankles were covered or if there petticoats showed
Oh how interesting!
I would have loved it. With the way you thrift, I'm sure you would have found a mirror or tray to replace the cardboard with.
$12.99 is only a good deal at a thrift store if the item is Tiffany! ;)
I love the little oval ironstone pieces. I use them by my sinks for bar soap, sponges, scrubbers and things like that.
Amen, sister. $12.95??? Whew. What a deal. Especially since items are donated.
Thanks for the idea
You had me at 'pockets!' Women of the world, rise up and demand pockets!
Agreed!
And please make them deep like mens pockets

What days do you post videos?
You girls need to start now having the men to go once a week to the thrift stores to hunt for mother's day items. Walk them all around your house showing them the things you all like to collect. Just like the little white restaurant dishes you find. Take them outside and show what you put flowers in. Show them the little McCoy planters our grandmother's use to buy. Little animal figurines like rabbits, birds, etc. prints of animals, plants, flowers, scenery, old barns or farm machinery, fruit, trees, country dirt road. Show them wooden boxes, baskets, candle holders, embroidery pillowcases, old tablecloths, little table scarves, crochet, quilts, brass, crock's, cast iron, ironstone. Pretty china cups/ saucers to pour a candle in, baskets, old silverware or utensils with wooden handles, oil lamps, cook books, sugar bowl/ creamer, pitchers, cutting boards, lamps, potted plants. They could have several things found by mother's day without the pressure of trying to find something good.
Love the round table. Toast holder would be pretty with folded vintage hankies in it. OxiClean is my go to stain remover!
Thank you! 😊
I would have snatched the toast holder vintage 😍
I kind of regret not getting it 🤔
It is a rare thing to find.
Love the way you style your home with your finds I try to do some what like you do but far from it
I just love watching your thrift and styling decor videos. I like that you are thrifting for yourself and not resale. Your home is so lovely. It was nice to see the family with you and the cute little wee one. A nice day was had by all im sure. I am going to now look for thoes little platters. You got me hooked. There are so many ways to style and use them. A nice haul indeed. Take care and thrift on. ❤❤❤❤ Deana
Thank you so much!
The sewing box would have made a great find for your jewelry. I loved the white wicker handbag. I enjoy watching you shop in the videos. You always put your finds in your home so nicely.
Thank you! 😊
The two pieces y’all thought were lamps were head band holders.
Thanks for thevtips. 👍💕
The devil egg tray was Tierra.
Gorgeous buys!
Can’t believe how you’re able to wash a shade ! Looks great on lamp( love lamp) the wall plates are so pretty.
Your office looks great ! I love it!
Love j Jill dress.
Bathroom is so sweet , Julie!
Oh yes…great idea fir spoon rest! Love the dish stack !!!! You have inspired me to ‘go looking’ !!
Have a great week …bless you and your sweet family …thanks for this video ❤xx
Thank you so much!
Julie you are genius with lamp clean trick! Love your channel so much! I use thrifted dishes under my candles too. Really makes them a show piece with just that little extra.
P.s. your house gets better and better! Just so cozy! All the layering and finding more treasures makes it so lovely.
Awe! Thank you!! 😊
I just ❤ how you always style your thrifted finds ! It’s so cute
I love your videos. I just found your channel recently but have gone back and i think I've watched them all, some more then once. I've started collecting small plates to stack. Also my mom had alot of old books and I'm using them as risers, too . Thank you for all your ideas and tips. I hit the "bell" so i hope I'm getting all your videos.
I love the Homer Laughlin oval plates. You have such good ideas for all your items. I love how you have the HL platters hung in your kitchen. I wish I could do that, but my cabinets go to the ceiling. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
Julie, you are brilliant. Thank you for sharing how to clean a dirty lamp shade. Wonderful tip 👍🏻💕
I have shades very much like that one. It would not have occurred to me that it's OK to get them wet! I use a lint roller on them periodically to dust them off and that helps. They probably could use a better cleaning, though.
You’re so welcome!
Hey Julie. Everything is super cute and useful. Watching all the way from Puerto Rico ❤️🏝
Thanks so much 😊
12.99 way too much good idea to leave it
I love to go thrifting with you because of the tips you give us as you shop. Love your videos so much. God bless you and your family.❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
I have a stack of those small Homer Laughlin platters.. love them ❤️❤️
Hello Julie let's go shopping omy I love the plate with the heart in the center
The 3 mirror item looks like something you'd see in a shoe store on the floor back in the day to look at shoes you tried on or it could just be a vanity mirror. Just a thought.
That's the same thought I had, just a guess.
Oh that is so true!
Wonderful seeing you & your daughters out thrifting.. I love watching ya'll. Started my spring cleaning this week including purge, donate and pitch 😅
Thank you! 😊
Thankyou so much for the trick on cleaning lamp shades!
You are so welcome!
That school house was the vintage original.
Ok I sure thought so. Thank you! 😊
Good morning, Julie. I am in search of a couple of Willow Tree at the Thrift store or the place that we go at the Rink to help the Cancer patients. My husband, our Genz daughter and I have been decluttering and organizing the house. We have donated items too. This past Christmas we bought a paper shredder at BJS club I love putting junk mail and bills that are pay through it. The sound makes me happy. I have it next to my computer chair. I have a pretty sawing basket and on top are bears I keep my sawing items in there. I recently receive needles that I purchased at Amazon. The Trinket tray is beautiful and looks so delicate. The little plate under the candle, the lamp and shade look pretty on your computer table. The Oxy Clean did its job of getting the stain out of the shade. Blessings.💖💞💖
Thank you! 😊
You welcome. Wishing you a lovely weekend. 🥰
Julie, love the brass lamp and I also love restaurant ware. Great to see your girls shopping with you. Have a great weekend. 💜💜💜
Thank you! You too!
Love those little platters. Gonna have to look for some. Love the lamp and shade, too. Love the way you set all of the items up. Looked so good.
Thanks so much! 😊
Hi my grandma used those oval little platters as bone holders on the table I remember after a fried chicken meal cleaning the table and seeing who ate the most chicken.
Oh how funny!
At first I didn't care for that trinket dish but love how you styled it!
Thank you!
I found 2 of the Homer Lauglin dishes too..I paid 98 cents for each..I love them too. I went to a j.jill store in Virginia with my daughter...she said always go to the back for the clearance racks. Take care
That is awesome!
Some of their prices were a bit high. Especially for broken items. Love the dress, it looks comfy.
You are SO lucky..out of my three kids only my daughter will thrift with me☹️
Ohh ! i found so many things I would love to have had. Maybe I could move to your area.😃 Thrifting is not so good here in southern Illinois. Maybe that's why I love your videos so much.
I think that thing you opened up made of brass and glass was for a fireplace - also that toast holder from England, my parents were from England and we had one but only ever used it for mail and letters....LOL
Quick question I want to decorate my fireplace mantle. My fire place is made out if large stones and we have a TV mounted above it so I can decorate each side and if I do the middle it will have to be lower items do you have any ideas??? I am really enjoying your videos and your family videos we have subscribed to all of you. Have a great day 😊
The amber depression egg dish goes from 35 to 65 online so beautiful for that money.
That’s awesome!
Yes, It's amber sandwich glass made by Tiara from the 70's. I ❤ it!
That is very, very vintage, they don't make things like that anymore. They haven't made them since we were kids.I'm seventy four and they haven't made them since I was kid
The thing Kara thought was a lamp is a headband or scrunchie holder for girls. 🩷
Interesting
Were did you go thrifting today< . What do you think about, what do you about the 9 mi. Rd one me and my daughter, we didn't notice anything , and we shopped and shopped. Got up to the cashier, she said we no longer have the senior day, color of the day, and the prices have have all gone up.
That lamp is giving me all the feels. 🙂 So glad you are leaving it as it is. Lovely.
Thank you! 😊
Julie, Your desk with the d lamp looks fabulous! Thanks for sharing the .method of cleaning with oxiclean . Very effective. That grandbaby is darling!
You are so welcome!
Toast rack is not a steal at that price. I have one which I use on my desk for mail. I think you were right about the vanity mirror.
I use little saucers for drink coasters. Pretty with flowers on them.
The 12.99 is for a 5 gallon water jug. ❤️👍always a pleasure to watch your videos and family
Thank you! 😊
@@ThrilledThrifteryour very welcome 👍
I love your channel! Have been watching a few years now. I have gotten inspiration from you! I have been thrifting small plates and saucers for my sponge and scrub daddy to sit on at the sink.
That is awesome! Thank you! 😊
Could I ask do you have a vintage purse collection?
Are you left-handed? The reason I ask is I noticed the lamp in your office is on the right corner. It seems that position would block light for for writing and computer. However, maybe the pix shows up backwards. Just an observation. Good show
No, I’m right handed. I shift and turn when I need the light at the desk.
Helpful hint! When cleaning dusting, not dirty, or stained lampshades or even stuffed animals, you can use cornstarch and a fluffy, clean paint brush or make up brush.
Great tip! Thank you! 😊
You know peroxide will remove blood and other stains
I found a brass lamp at a thrift shop when I lived in Houston. It was crusty then, like 30 yrs ago. It had a key to turn on near bulb & a switch at the base. All the base was filigreed. I pd $1.25 & a lady offered me $50 if I would give it to her. It still sits on my bedside table. It has so much patina now it almost doesn't look like brass.
Oh that’s awesome!
Yeah that was just a makeup mirror an old one and it isn't worth what they wanted for it
the prices in that store are crazy pants . we do not pay that here in canada . i wouldn't touch none of it
What a deal on that beautiful lamp. I use that same ckeaner but hadn't on a shade before, afraid it might have been too harsh. Thanks for showing us that. Who plays? Would live a lil mini concert. 😊Blessings ❤
Thank you! 😊 my daughter Elizabeth
You could put butter pats in the red and white piece
That’s genius!
Hi Julie 💓 very beautiful lamp I love ur trifting videos thanks for sharing always Laura happy weekend and st patrick day
Thank you! You too!
Brass lamp and shade cleaned up Marvelously👍
Those little “platters” were an awesome addition! That brass lamp is pretty spiffy too! Love seeing what you find❤
Yes! Thank you!
Love your video! I noticed in your office, is that a vintage typing table in the corner? I used to be a typist And had something similar!
Yes it is. I got it at a garage sale and I love it!
Oh my Julie that white basket is for a tea cup or small teapot I’ve been looking for one everywhere . I almost died when you put it back 😢
Awe man! It was so precious!
I googled ceramic vintage toast holder and this one wasn’t listed but similar ones were only about $20 so this was way overpriced for a thrift store
Oh good to know. Thank you 😊
The Mirror may be a Antique Petticoat Mirror. I have seen similar ones in Natchez MS in the Antebellum homes on tour.
Thank you! 😊
That deviled egg plate is from Tiara they use to do home parties. Their glass ware is usually very good and expensive
It was beautiful! I have the green one.
You did a great job everything is pretty
I’m done with my spring cleaning, we painted our trim and replaced the doors so I did a lot of cleaning, im always taking my drop cloth curtains down and put in dryer to air out because we have a dog
Oh we need new interior doors so bad!
What do you use to hang your plates on the wall? I dont want to ruin the wall if I want to move the plates. Suggestions? Thanks
I buy plates holders on Amazon.
Triple mirror would go on a dressing table or tall dresser
I wish we could go thrifting together.
It's a vanity mirror 🪞
Probably had a tray where the cardboard was
Yes if the bottom would not have been cardboard I probably would have bought it!
I want to know how you hung the salt holder you had the matches in. I didn't see anything in the little hole you're supposed to hang it from.
I used a little nail 😁
I absolutely love the flooring that matches your current floors the best!
Your bunnies look so cute & OMGSH, your paper plates are beautiful! You gave me ideas by using the plates. 😃
I usually dont care for butcher block counters, but that one is perfect for your island. ❤
I know you want to paint your cupboards that beautiful green, I love the color, yet it seems like it may make your pretty & bright kitchen too dark. I think the green will be spectacular on your built-in entertainment center. It will match your island with the green with stained wood accents! I love your ideas. Thank you for always sharing! Blessings Always 😇
Why did the little heart basket you put back remind me of sophia from The Golden Girls
I’m not sure. 🤔 we had 6 kids with us so I was very distracted lol
Would prefered that tap was like a planter too.
Would look grate with a plant in it. Well you could if you wanted too
I love the willow tree items.
I m starting cleaning little by little too.
Sarting the corners that were neglected and sorting trough some clothing
Would that be an item fro a shoestore maybee?
I would have snatched that sowingbasket too :)
Put toast in that toastrack, I would use it for its purpose
That English made floral terrene is stunning!!!
Amber is wanted lately and they know it!
Beautyfull dress goes with so many other colors. Perfect with a little sjawl or cardigan
Shade and lamp, perfect fit and look
I love the old/used look too, leave the patina
That little dish looks perfect in your bathroom, perfect spot to put your rings in and daily jewelry
Love the litle plates, would use them for spoonrests or for little snackes or lemmonslices(for tea) too. I do that too, using little beautyfull dishes and bowls in the kitchen
Thank you for sharing, Have a blessed weekend X
I started. My spring cleaning today
You got this!
With all the rain California has had, my weeds are waving at me, so I finally had nice enough weather to get out and start tackling a monumental task today...sigh!
Learned so much from this video
Hello Julie, family, and fur babies. Thanks for all the tips and ideas for decor. STTB
I would put toast in the toast holder.
Some of the prices seemed to be a little high.
The amber egg plate is Tiara. It came in different colors. Amber, green, pink, blue, etc.
that little house is fisher price
I made a comment to you before you can put your little small platters in toaster holders
Such a cute idea!
Cute bathroom like the idea of the matches with the matchbox cut up and the little match holder. Thanks for showing how to clean the lamp shade!!
You are my favorite!!!
That mirrored piece could either be used as a fire screen or a vanity mirror.
Thank you! 😊
The "creampetal" covered bowl was so pretty. I would have gotten it.😊
😊👍👋 12.99 no thank you!.
Hi hun mary from Ireland just watching all your videos shattered my wrist and fingers was going mad with the pain can't do much as Its my right hand so you have kepted me company never begin thrifting as no stores here but I must say thank you and family for getting me through the last few days xx
I have metal op shop Australia like your thirft toast rack 1 Using for stone coasters others till I find my other coasters are empty
It amazes me the price on Goodwill when the item was donated. Crazy!
You really didn’t know what a toast rack was? 😮
No, I didn’t 😁. I’m thankful to keep learning though.
I love that little white caddy
I love the little flowered dish
Lots of great stuff
I think the tri-fold mirrors are for looking at your shoes. Great haul!
Where did you go
Hi Julie, your office is so lovely. I must say though, I really love your new lamp and that wee dish in your guest bathroom is, both are gorgeous. In fact I love EVERYTHING. ❤❤❤
Thanks so much! 😊
When I saw the little plate/saucer, I thought it would be the perfect size to hold a small cup/glass of coffee/milk and a cookie ...like a coaster, with room for a snacky-snack! A coaster with benefits! hahah Love your videos, Julie! Much love from Nova Scotia!
Oh that’s a good idea! Thank you! 😊
