My goal at the beginning of the year was to get to tailbone length by December. I realized I can’t neglect it not even for 2 weeks so I was on it this year and I’m there but another inch will make it completely full tailbone. My hair has never ever ever been this long and I’m so so proud of myself.
I have very very fine low porosity hair. Its 3c and it took me a long long long 😓 time to figure out the routine that works for my hair. If your hair is like mine, I’d be happy to share but I don’t want to give bad advice if its not.
I like blowdrying my hair before doing braids/plaits just for my mental health. It's easier for me to part and I don't have to braid as tight to keep the hair together.
I don't wear my hair stretched. I have a very healthy relationship with shrinkage and I'm at the state in my life where I work WITH my hair vs AGAINST. I know how long my hair is, I don't feel a need to prove anything. The most I do is medium two strand twists (braided first two inches) and then after a week or two I take them out and rock a twist out. I don't like "wash n go's" since it's not the best for my hair's actually health. My hair loves twists and twist outs so that's what I'm sticking with! Went from 1 inch of hair and now it's past my shoulders, almost 3 years post big chop. The biggest thing that helped my growth was a simple, CONSISTENT routine and less manipulation. Your hair is GORGEOUS!!!!
When you begin to take "leave your hair alone" seriously, when it's time to do otherwise it's hard. Laziness gets the best of you. That is why out of fear of neglect what I do on a daily is oiling the ends and massaging my scalp, this way wash days and braiding become an additives to something I practice often. The hair is left alone, I just stimulate the scalp and moisturize the ends which is recommended. Once you let things go, you get used to it.
I had to cut off 30 inches of hair, chemo! It hasn't been this short since the last time I went on chemo. It's going to stay short now! Your hair is beautiful Razor. Happy Holidays 🌲🎁!
It's nostalgic because that's the grease my mom use to use on my hair, and for some reason it just applies better to my hair, and it leave my hair soooo soft and super shiny.
@@ascribecalledtess7439 I love the bergamot for all the reasons you mentioned. It brings back so many wonderful memories. Now I use it in my sons’ hair
When you said that part about loving your natural look…why did I say that to myself today 😂. I put my hair in a ponytail looked in the mirror and smiled because my face was clear, mood was right, and I guess I was just really happy and those exact words came out my mouth. Anyway loved your video, your hair is always popping, keep doing you
Simplicity is key. Stretched is the way to go even without heat, cool setting on your hair dryer also stretchs nicely. I get much less fairy knots and detangling is a breeze when braiding my waist length "3c/4a" thick hair. I have shoulder and neck pain from a car accident so anything that cuts down my weekly or biweekly styling time is extremely helpful. My hair is thicker on one side as well... Lol. I wear my hair like this all the time. Natural beauty. 💟 I'm 44yo and personal growth and priorities are always changing, it's part of life. We adapt and continue but we always have to remember to take care of yourselves in the process. God bless 💯❤🙏🏽
I’ve never tried the Bergamont one, but I tried the original one and the Blue Magic Castor Oil. I love them! I was always an Ultra Sheen girl back from childhood all the way until like mid 30s and now blue Ultra Sheen is like blue gold. It’s almost impossible to find it and when you do it is ridiculously high. So that’s what made me switch to blue magic and I love it.
Razor - hope all is well. I've heard and can personally confirm the green is best for keeping the hair stretched. When I take out braided styles where I've used the green grease, the hair looks more elongated than with other products
Hair has been fine I just decided to focus on length retention, which means "doing" less. Less fun, but hopefully I'll see the results in hitting bra strap length. So I get how you feel! You're evolving, so habits and interests shift too.
Wah gwaan, Razor? I haven't tried this particular grease because I never see it in stores, but I would like to! I feel you on the not wanting to do much with your hair right now. Those phases in life do happen. My hair is in a very healthy state at the moment. I am finally getting thickness coming in that I hadn't seen in all my adulthood, despite being natural for 15 years. Having 5 kids and bleaching my hair for 12 of those years has robbed me of my true thickness, and I stopped bleaching for a year only to see the progress that I had been seeking forever. So I am thrilled about it; however, my hair is getting longer and I'm dealing with the two textures. Sometimes it's aggravating, but I'm not willing to big chop for the 4th time just to get rid of it. My hair is waist length, but not FULLY waist length. I'm still working on it and learning how to leave my hair alone for a full week without styling every single day for work. It's a struggle! 😆 I am enjoying the journey, though.
Watched a couple of videos where you talked about hair grease and yesterday, but one i bought sure Super Gro, and i think it's already doing good... thanks a lot. Love from Uganda🇺🇬
It is winter in NJ so twists is it. I put up wear a few twists out in the front. Don't want it touching my cloths. I use this grease same grease on my hair for years. It serves the purpose. I do want to try one without color. Have wore it stretched but it doesn't matter because it stretches out when I twist it in smaller sections.
Hey Hey Razor in Da building!!!!! Nice to see you beautiful 😊your hair still looks beautiful though six months without a trim yeah that's definitely not you I've been following you for 8yrs now 💕 I've been falling more in like with my hair but being that it's winter where I am ,I feel like just braid it up and leave it alone .
I've definitely been lacking on hairstyles lately Lot of wash and gos I didn't have much motivation, similar to what you said, but there's some styles I wanna try. I just gotta push myself into doing styles when I work up the energy
Oh...i admire how healthy and beautiful your hair is My hair has been a stressful and a struggle. I need to definitely need to chop my hair off again. My hair is extremely dry no matter what i try. Beyond frustrating 😤
I guess I never realized the jar said conditioner. The batch I have now is not as thick as it used to be. I wonder if they are adding more amount of oil.
This is that one i have. I use it every blue moon. I like this one better, though because it not stiff like the blue one. It's oily, though. It gets on everything and it runs down your face. I live in Texas. It gets HOT here! So it was too oily for me. It was causing little whitehead bumps on my face. So i say, if you use it, don't use a lot. Don't. Be heavy handed woth it.
Hey Razor I've been neglecting my hair also. I have so many other priorities that my hair takes a back seat a lot. I have been using my Indian hemp blue magic to help keep it supple during this cold weather but the interest has declined over the yesrs😂. I Love my hair but life be life'n😅❤❤❤

Yeah, some people have been applying like a conditioner and rinsing it out. I’m not sure, maybe some batches are different.

Dont be confused. It does condition your hair. Conditioning doesn't always mean rinse out! Lol😅
Agreed but some people were using it as an actual rinse out conditioner. This applies to those people. I’m not confused at all.
I have a question, how often do you wash your hair? Do you consider it fine or thick? It’s perfect! Sending a hug from Brazil 🫶🏽🇧🇷

Sorry to say this but blue magic is not that color. It’s more of a royal blue. Not sure if you have a special blend but it doesn’t look correct.
