    3. SOUNDBITE (English) Natasha Lyonne, actor-writer:
"Yeah, I would say that, it's a safe room and, it's a nice it's a nice thing to do. I think it's usually, it's really - it's only stressful if you make it about yourself. I think, it's stressful anyway. But usually the trick is to remind yourself it's not about me tonight. It's actually about the people that are here, you know, that have worked so hard on, their movies and, lucky or unluckily enough, I've got plenty of experience doing that so I know how much work it takes. And, really, this is their night, so kind of - it doesn't matter if I sink or swim. It ain't about me. You know.”
(Reporter: ”Did you have to study the names of the technology?”)
Lyonne: ”Ah yes. We were backstage doing all kinds of phonetics, and, and writing and rewriting. And it was a it was very thrilling. And I, I came here directly from the 'Poker Face' writers room. You know, it's all just one long day.”

    5. SOUNDBITE (English) Natasha Lyonne, actor-writer:
"Yes, I am, made actually of, celluloid. There is no flesh, no blood. And it's, getting smaller over time, as I - and then my final form, late stage, Bette Davis on Dick Cavett. I, I don't know, I love movies. It's the only thing I really understand in this life. Well, they've got everything I like, you know, music and stories and images. And, they'll break your heart and make ya laugh and all the rest. And, I do think that the, sort of the specific elements that we're here celebrating tonight are really extraordinary as we move into this new future we found ourselves in, here in 2024. Kubrick could only imagine as far as 2001. Prince, 1999. So I think that, you know, it's certainly the room to be in.”
(Reporter: ”Coming out of the strike, there was a lot of conversation about fears around technology.”)
Lyonne: ”Yes. Our old friend AI. Yes, I guess there, it's, a fair and formidable foe. I guess unless we, wrangle that little bitch and put it in the right, safe hands. So hopefully we'll figure that all out as a team."

    7. SOUNDBITE (English) Natasha Lyonne, actor-writer:
"Thank God all my years out on the field doing research, as we say politely in spaces like this that are black tie, led me to a deeper interest in things like quantum physics and of course, creating 'Russian Doll.' And, in all that time, I, my interest was, only piqued further. And, so I continue to have a real, interest in that arena specifically. Yes.”
(Reporter: ”How is the crossword puzzle auction?”)
Lyonne: ”Oh, yes. We did the auction, for the crossword puzzle and, in solidarity with our, friends in the SAG strike and, made some money and, solved that puzzle, and, I think eight minutes, 20 (seconds), which is not bad for a Wednesday, especially as a group. Yeah.”
(Reporter: ”After this big TV renaissance we've had, are you just looking for the right kind of future movies?”)
Lyonne: ”Yes. Yes. Right. Television and features - an age old conundrum. Perchance the two can coexist in some sort of dream world we envision for ourselves. I think it's possible. I do. ... Yes, yes, I think many have before, and many will be again. That's how I talk now. Been spending a lot of time, you know, with my friends - the royal family. That's a joke. I don't care about them or for them at all, thanks."
