Always enjoy the videos. Also wanted to tell you thank you, your top 20 Beatles riffs video alone was something that helped inspire me to start playing, and that’s not even counting your other videos that have inspired me
My favourite Bowie song, Queen Butch! But yeah, Bowie used a 12-string a lot throughout his career, especially in the late-60s early 70s. He plays it on Young Americans, for one, you can see it during live versions. He really hammers the hell out of it.
Using a capo on the 5th fret of a 12 string!👀 I thought that tales of such lutherie were merely myth or legend, 😂. Great selection 👌. Like deployed 👍 😎🎸✅️
Nice! I love Mama I’m Coming Home, that’s my favorite in your compilation! ❤ I would have loved to hear Hotel California, but I know the situation with The Eagles, so I get it.
@@bloxsy_ Before truss rods were a common thing, it was common for everybody to down tune 12 strings so the neck wouldn't warp from all the tension. Not really needed now but still a cool sound. Looking forward to a follow up video!
That’s a shame. Should be able to get it out though. I accidentally jammed mine in but I read somewhere I might be able to drill it out as a last resort.
I stay away made me cry 🖤🤘
It’s a beautiful song. Don’t think I quite nailed it but had to start the video with it.
@@bloxsy_I think there is a descending high A "power chord" in that very first figure. That's the best I can explain
Love to see Breaking The Girl appearing! such a beautiful song man, great video btw!
So glad to see a pogues tune ❤
It's nice to see Suicide Note Pt. 1 on here. Very overlooked by people as a great 12 String song
It is such a great riff for a 12 string
every song sounds amazing with a 12-string guitar! 😍 amazing job
True. I’ve been playing other standard 6 string songs on it and it sounds amazing too.
Bloxsy_ playing a 12 string guitar is like Something i waited to see,but not ready to see yet
Until now.❤🎉

Oh thank you! Glad it inspired you. I even wanted to do another Beatles one. Hope you keep playing.
Thanks for playing Hole!
I actually never knew that Bowie riff was a 12-string one. Nice video!
Yeah all Bowies playing is on a 12 string while Ronson plays a Les Paul

@@bloxsy_beautiful Bowie riff!
Loved playing a 12 string! Miss it terribly. Great work as always

Thank you!
My Danish friend's band Loksmith have a pretty lovely bit of 12-string acoustic at the end of their song "Breathe"
OMG THE CHURCH YES!!! I DONT SEE ANYONE TALKING ABOUT THEM THANK YOUU
Sad Song is so underrated
I was hoping you included i stay away and you opened the video with that song. Liked immediatly
Man I NEED to buy a 12 string
You really do!
A cutaway! Smart choice! A beautiful sound that's worth the struggle.
All bangers man. Good choices 👌
Thanks man
Nice! I love Mama I’m Coming Home, that’s my favorite in your compilation! ❤ I would have loved to hear Hotel California, but I know the situation with The Eagles, so I get it.
Thanks man! Yeah they were really cracking down on people playing that song. I don't get it.
I KNEW YOUD PUT SAD SONG, AS IT SHOULD BE ON EHRE!!!!!
Great list. Check out Styx's "Crystal Ball" -- great 12 string intro. Tommy Shaw at his best.
love the hole representation 💗
Seagull makes a very good 12-string for a very good price, I love that thing, just sounds like magic even with my ham-fisted playing
Yeah the extra strings are tougher on the fingers but sound great.
@@bloxsy_ I usually have mine tuned down a step, gives it more of a Lead Belly sorta sound.
I do that too, some of these are in Eb standard. Makes it easier

Awesome
Great to see the Church here. Often overlooked but a great band
AIC and The Church ❤
Yoooooo, I wasn't expecting to see Hawkwind make an appearance
if you ever get around to a part two, i'd love to see the riff from the bridge section of type o negative's "blood and fire".
Haven't heard that. Will check it out.
@@bloxsy_ please do, it gives me chills!
YES!!!! A FINALLY!!!! :"D
было бы клёво послушать каверы SRV на 12-струнке🤤🤤🤤
The riff of More Than a Feeling reminds me of a song by Charly García
Love your work.
Thank you
When you do part 2, may I be so bold as to suggest Watch The Sunrise by Big Star? It’s in open G, by the way. Open G on a 12 string sounds glorious.
Hadn't heard this one before, sounds good from the bit I listened to.
Just a beautiful guitar the 12 string
Mosquito Song is a great one. 🦟
I just bought thisssss!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic!
Nice one for including Sad Song. An Oasis track that never gets the kudos it deserves.
At least it does by Liam. Soon we will be able to hear him singing it also, from back in the day.
How do you play 12 strings with only 10 fingers?
That Church song is heavenly
i just got a 12 string too recently but one bridge pin broke so down to 11, like your one :)
i’ve been waiting to find this comment
That’s a shame. Should be able to get it out though. I accidentally jammed mine in but I read somewhere I might be able to drill it out as a last resort.
Nice covers, you should also try that Rock in Rio version of Queen's Love of My Life!
Bloxsy finally bought himself a 12 string acoustic 😮😮😮😮😮 By the way, are you using a fish man amplifier?
I'm not. I have it Mic'd slightly off-screen and also running it through an acoustic IR
I feel like listening to Wish You Were Here on radio
Aren’t there actually only 11 strings there ?
Yeah bloxsy put a note in the description saying a string broke and it couldn't be replaced due to the peg being stuck in the bridge
I hope there's gonna
be some Bowie!
this vid made me buy a fender 12 string lol
Did you break a string on the high E?
Yeah. Then the peg broke and got stuck in the bridge
Ventura Highway would be another !
Hi you’ve got a new subscriber, guess who I am?! It’s me, Oscar
Hi Oscar! Thank you for subscribing! And welcome to RUclips!
I'd like a 12 string, please
Shocked there’s no Hotel California
He hates the f***in Eagles man!
Eagles strike down everything
@@letsplaygames8615their old
Dumb asses don’t understand they’ll be forgotten in a few years unless they let people spread the word.
The Eagles are the most notorious copyright strikers😂
I'm pretty sure if you played The Eagles in your bedroom to yourself, their lawyer would bust down your door demanding money
Where’s dead or alive at
should have supertramp on this list - one of the best 70s bands to use the 12 string.
AIC, Bowie and Hole mmmm❤
Supertramp - Give a little bit
Shangri-la is so underrated!
Great song. The album is quite good too.
i am a simple girl
i see a hole riff
and i like and subscribe to the video/creator
Thanks!
We all know there are no girls on the internet. G.I.R.L. means "Guy in Real Life"
ты красава друган привет с самары
Where is gimme danger of the stooges
The Church is a W
HAWKWIND
11 strings you mean… :)
Wait where’s Hotel California?
Eagles are notoriously strict with copyright and people playing their music, so I just avoided it.
No wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald?
Hmm I don’t know that one. Will have to check it out!
you have 11 strings!!
Don’t sound budget to me, nice
