- Did Honda missed the great opportunity to release a new Tenere 700 killer?
Should Honda had released the new Baby Africa Twin?
Am I disappointed with the new Honda Transalp 750.
In this video I am going to share with you my honest option as a Transalp long term owner.
Thanx For This! The Legend Is Finally Back. Been A Long Wait!!
Must admit i was a little disepointed at first glance. Howewer after all has started to sink in am quite pleased with the new Transalp. XL was never Hondas dirt focused models XR & now the CRF are the dirt focused models. Its a capeable allrounder like all the 3 previous generations always We’re. On paper this new Transalp is by far the best Transalp yet. The 4 generation. It will appeal to the masses & Will probably sell well. More positives than negatives. Positives- Light, Very Powerful, Adequat Ground Clearance, Robust Suspension With Adequat Travel, Accessable Seat Height, Less Top Heavy, Plenty Enough Electronics, 21/18 combo, Clean & Sleek Looks with a nod to its long Heritage & Plenty Of Tailor Made Accessiores. Negatives-Less Agressive Looks, Not Fully Adjustable Suspension, No Easy Adjustable Windscreen, No Adjustable Front Fender, Low Muffler, No Tubeless, No CC, No DCT, No Springloaded Gear Pedal, No Springloaded Brake Pedal & Very Naked Out Of The Box, Costs Will Increase Before Hitting The Trails, Doubtful Quality On Honda Accessories: Ex: Plastic Panniers, Flimsy Dekorbars (Not Crashbars), Probably Very Thin Bashplate & No Maroon Wingbadge That Screams Budgetbike….The Power Of Dreams ❤️
Thanks Alex for your comments. I totally agree with you that this is by far the best Transalp. I believe it will be a great bike! 👍
Once they were called enduro. Today things seem to be more complicated, but bikes didn't change much. :) Overall I don't like the 21 front wheel, otherwise I like the Transalp design of all gen. Great video bro. You got my like here. Drop by when have time. You may like it.
Cheers RRR. Yeah 19" is a better compromise for on and off road. Will do. All the best.
@@44degreesmotorcycleadventures For me it would be better to have the 19. :) My personal taste, just to mention. Thanks bro.
Think it's an adventure tourer and better for it. Honda have an off roader, it's called crf300.
You right there! Thanks for your comment
Have to admit i was a little disepointed at first as i was expecting more howewer after studying the specs & all other info in detail & seeing the larger picture things have slowly started to sink in am now quite pleased with the new Transalp. XL was never Hondas dirt focused models that was XR & now the CRF models. On paper the best Transalp yet: positives- lighter, more power, better ground clearence, low seatheight, less topheavy, robust & better suspension, plenty enough electronics & plenty of Honda accessories to tailor ones bike to ones needs. A modern dirt capeable adventure tourer. Negatives: Low muffler, abit blunt apperance, no fully adjustable suspension, no adjustable windscreen & front fender, no tubeless, pretty naked out of the box, getting the bike ready for the trails will increase costs & no wingbadge. Let us wait & see When one can see & ride this beauty to pass judgement. The Power Of Dreams ❤️
I was very much exited but was disapointed actually when I saw it on the motoexpo. The bike looks cheap, when you look at the parts and details you got the feeling that the new Transalp was made in China. It is not only Honda, most of the new bikes look this way. Looks like cutting costs to keep a low price is more important than the quality today. I am a XL700V owner and I don't think I will change it for 750🤨
Hey Rado thanks for your comment. I still have not seen one in person. Here in Ireland it's taken a bit long to arrive. Have a friend who bought one but he is not expecting it to arrive before end June. I guess most motorbike companies have taken the same approach. As it's with most things we have on the market now. Not only motorcycles. I just bought a XRV 750 Africa twin - see my latest video, so I wonder if any these bikes in the market today will last as much as those from 80 and 90s.
@@44degreesmotorcycleadventures congrats! Really a legend. As I know except some electrical problems if well maintained they are bullet proof. And for sure nobody today builds bikes to last for 30 years 🙄
I think Freddie Dobbs did an excellent and inspiring vid on the first gen: ruclips.net/video/Ie081855LFc/видео.html
In his words, “It’s a strangely brilliant mix of a sports tourer, an adventure bike, and a trails bike.” And I think the TA needs to be considered as that, in that order!
I think many have lost their understanding of what the TransAlp was originally designed for! Too many youtuber’s saying that Honda missed the mark. On paper, I think they hit the mark and exceeded it.
Hey Sean. I will check it out! Thanks for your comment and I defenetely agree that "People lost their way in what a Transalp was designed for".
Thanks again. All the best.
