A little story to share. I used to creat tasks in Notion for all my projects with a subtask called "research & strategy". I did this because I was taught that every great project starts with a strategy. While that statement I believe is true, it also made sub cautiously every project I started take an excessive amount of time not ACTUALLY working on the meat of the project. Needless to say, I no longer have a dedicated subtask for "research & strategy". lol Thanks for sharing your perspective.
I can tell you I’ve been in that exact position. Notion has a funny way of making us feel like we did a lot of work, when there was no actual action taken. Just research and thinking.
