When I was a teenager I did a little film shooting with only a 50mm f2.8 stock lens on a Pentax k-1000. I never saw the need for any different lens. Years later as a professional Graphic Artist I have come to understand the possibilities of different lens and camera combinations. It is endlessly fascinating to study the possibilities. Thank you for my latest lesson.
I have purchased Fujinon 23mm f2 and Sigma 30mm f1.4. My plan was to test them during week, make decision and return one of them back to shop. I cannot be more suprised - I didn't need week, not day, not one hour. After few shoots I can tell you that Sigma for Fujifilm is much more SHARPER, of course it has BETTER BOKEH (I cant compare with fujinon 23 f1.4, but this one has old SLOOOWER AF speed). As bonus - Sigma is cheaper.
Your explanation on the 35mm f1.4 is perfection. I can get by with its autofocus limits but it is very annoying trying to shoot a scene indoors with it. Its just that little bit too tight. The image output is wonderful though and that is why I still use it so often. I would be in love if fuji could replicate this lens with a true 50 fov and LM autofocus.
The Fuji 33mm 1.4 is the best lens I ever used. If you want a wider or narrower field of view the Viltrox 23mm and 85mm make excellent images, not the best autofocus but in street photography many people will be using zone or back-button focus anyway. The Viltrox 23mm has an aperture ring too, although it's unclicked so you have to look at it when changing it or read the screen/viewfinder
Hi Tudor.I am new in the field (beginner)😊 I just bought an X-T2 camera and I didn't know what prime lens to start with. I saw the sigma 30mm f:1.4 but I didn't know anything about how it behaved on X mount. I'm looking for something very sharp and with a nice bouquet. What do you think about XF 33mm F1.4 R LM W? Congrats for the channel. All the best!
The new lenses from Fujifilm are top notch lenses. But I would for a start with 35mm f2 - fast, light, good image quality easy to be carried (the 331.4 it's bigger). Sigma 30mm f1.4 it's a good compromise but I don't know how it will focus on xt2. So the 35mm f2 lens I would choose.
Very good comparison. I tested the Sigma, and brother Sigma colors are really retro! I didn’t buy it, kept my 35, but I was certainly tempted! You need to to try that sigma with the SD Quattro. I know, I know it’s a slow camera but brother the photos are a delicatessen, try it.
@@Tudor_Mateescu I’m about buying 30mm sigma. For my 2nd lenses now i had 18mm f2. Wan versatile lenses that can shot portrait and street photography. I used to have 35 f1.4, but need more wide just a little bit from 35… but when i see your video, 30 sigma + xpro 2 it’s to big, mine is xe4 more smaller than your camera. So it’s something to consider for me😅 thank you for the reply
Didn't had the chance to try it. But I see that is sharp. What I don't like is the size. Between 35mm and 33mm... For me: or go big with the 33 or go small with the 35mm f2. What I'm curious now is how the old 35mm f1.4 will focus on xh2/xt5

Yes, Sigma it's a beautiful lens, amazing bokeh and fast AF.

Yes, I have Viltrox 23mm f1.4 and I'm loving it:)

35 matters, yes!
Do u missed smaller 35mm Fujinon f1.4 vs Sigma 30mm?
Yes I miss it, and bought again 35mm f1.4. It works great on X-T5. Thinking to sell Sigma now because of the weight and size :)

@@theagen3js371 Sigma 30mm with xe4 is ok. This is why I've bought xe4 again - for Sigma to have a smaller package. It worked so and so.
@@Tudor_Mateescu ok thank for the reply
Hello! What do you fink about Ziess Touit 32mm 1.8?
Didn't had the chance to try it. But I see that is sharp. What I don't like is the size. Between 35mm and 33mm... For me: or go big with the 33 or go small with the 35mm f2.
What I'm curious now is how the old 35mm f1.4 will focus on xh2/xt5
...many valid points...and good photos....
Thank you 🙏
Magical lens.. lol
Yes sir, there are magical devices in this world ;)
Thank you
Wow! Sigma wins on AF over Fujifilm on a Fujifilm camera? Time for a firmware upgrade Fujifilm!
I don't know if they can do something for the old 35mm f1.4 unfortunately...
if you think any of these lenses today are heavy I seriously question your masculinity.
And I really question your intelligence
It time to put down that shity lens it’s overrated and plus the is irritable try 33 f1.4mm instead.
