Just saw this movie last night, it is on Netflix. Such a BEAUTIFUL sceneries and music, and a great performance. Note that I felt most of the story and drama is not in the concerts, not sure how much they had to show him play etc.. Thanks for this interview, is great to meet the writer. It is true towards the end of the film you wonder why/why not would this character commit suicide, or consider life worth living, as a famous pianist. I also thought at times the character exhibited some dementia/aging symptoms (very slight, as it happens in real life).

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! This was a special night for me, being a fan of Sir Patrick’s non-Star Trek work also, but...HUGE Trek nerd, and Next Generation was my Trek, so being there, four feet in front of him was incredible.
Agree, the film was beautiful, and moving, and the performances were layered. Sir Patrick made us feel the despair of the pianist.
