Picture this: You've just sent an astronomy pioneer down to sylvia. After several days, you see a ramp protruding into space in the station's general direction. It continues to get closer until you see the astroneer you sent down only a week ago return. You sit inside, eating a burrito, watching them build around the station and set up a landing pad. A landing pad? Why? You get your answer as they land their shuttle on it, and bring tons of dynamite with them! This can only go poorly as you watch them load them onto a VTOL, then swiftly blow themselves up. You sigh as you grab another burrito from the cabinet, contemplating your choices about sending down the one that was nicknamed "crackhead". Well, looks like they're a bit homesick, but you're sure they'll leave, and remove all the trash they brought with them... right?
Me and my buddies did this not long ago, instead we tried to get to the sun. it’s quite fun yet challenging when you start getting to the higher areas we never were successful and low gravity ended up killing us all, we instead settled to make a very large base closer to the edge of space where it was still habitable. It was so high up that we could literally land on it from the planet it was built on 🤣 I seriously suggest doing this, it’s tedious but fun.
I reached the space station a few days ago, using your helicopter (because I'm too skinny) and I looked inside it and I saw the end game cutscene room and the place where you change your clothes Jetpacks don't work... Nor does creative mode flight... Nor does the "action" wheel... But if you press the button for the drone, it does work! Space is weird
Tip: teathers actually have a longer connection range then the player, so if you are just out of the teather range, if you place a teather, it'll connect. Save teathers this way!
I once made a sky tower to space in survival, it was basically a giant slide and my friend once disconnected the tether line while I was at the top and I slid down and he made a ramp so I flew up

1:40 if you are falling from a high place, all you need to do is press "Q" to open your backpack right before you hit the ground. It has saved my life many times.
Years ago when this was in Early Access, my friends and I did this exact thing with the bridge and made it to the station. But back then, the station had buttons for the main menu and you could click them!! This caused the game to crash as we tried to load our save from the actual game lol

a paver! and have a big soil canister on the rover too, you can attach a drill to the rover to collect soil to be placed by the paver, or you can fill it up with the little soil canisters you have in your backpack
@@KuyaGameAstroneer no today my friend explained it to me it's a glitch you can put more probe scanners in some of them even though they might show you already did it and then it will complete
I've been to it accidentally I put a winch on a crane on a large rover and attatched the winch to the rover wheel and it goes in a random direction (one being up)
i just paved a road to space and my large rover lost gravity and flew off into the distance. im lucky i was able to jump out and land on the ramp but now im down two large rovers lol
Hmm I always thought planets rotate and also orbit around the sun.. So how can you build from a planet to the space station? Or is my assumption wrong, and everything is actually static somehow?
The space station is quite possibly in geostationary orbit. This is the distance from the planetary body whereby the time it takes for the satellite to orbit the planet is equal to the orbital period, making it seem motionless. For Earth, this distance is about 35.7 km (22,2 miles). Since Sylva is much, much smaller, the distance is a lot closer.

Yes, when you r ACH that high limit you need to place soil and walk on it. This will allow you to go further
