Another thing satisfies me, that when i decide to go to the next planet, I should carefully decide what to take with. It gives me the feeling of planning a long-distance travelling in reality.
the slide to the core is exactly how I get to every planet core, every time. not only is it one of the safest routes, but it makes going from top to bottom a breeze. just make sure you know what you need to activate the respective cores before you get there or its a loooong walk back up.
I find the most satisfying thing about astroneer is digging a giant hole, like I paved a mote around my base alll the way to the core. And just peering over the edge into the black abyss I can only hope it looks back at me and says, thank you
About making a slide to the core, if you start it at a gateway, you don’t even have to walk all the way back up. Just remember which gateway you started at, having to teleport around randomly may be very satisfying, being in one place, and then suddenly being somewhere completely different, but it can also ruin the fun of the slide. If you okay with pausing, you can also make an interplanetary slide if you complete the fast travel network.
I think the most satisfying things I've seen so far are the soil centrifuge depositing 8 resin onto a medium storage that I use to make 4 MORE storages, and then there's finding resources in the wall on a completely horizontal axis. I always have issues when I try to mine resources underneath me or above me.
Also, if you find resource area and you've cut out some area, put your drilling area and hit Alt (raise ground) + click. All the surrounding resources will get sucked up from under the ground. You'll get a lot of resources fast and possibly even several full resource nuggets in one click. You need to have at least one soil canister on you for this to work.
Also, what about finding all the chess pieces? It feels really satisfying when you’ve spent hours maybe days! Looking for them on two planets, then you put that last piece down on the figurine platform, and it’s over… you did it… you got all the chess pieces! Now you can relax with your friends while playing chess in astroneer!
You forgot one of the basic satisfying things, one of the fundamentals: activating a gateway chamber. The noises that a gateway chamber makes while being activated truly are satisfying and get the chef's kiss every time.
They should add a conveyor belt. I'm picturing a modular belt that has single slots on them. It would be nice to pair with auto arms to help minimize the amount of space in which someone could enter and interfere with the production line. Now THAT would be satisfying
I sometimes like to take the portable oxigenator and go int adventures. And sometimes find wrecks with rare materiales. For example find a dynamite to blow a near container. Love it
A way to make sliding down slopes 10x more fun is here: So I made as steep slope to the core with my Large Rover as I could. Then, I put tethers on the way, and got up. Then, with Hoverboard I could go insanely fast! Not kidding, even faster than max speed VTOL!
Late to the party - however - it was satisfying trying to get the truck air time achievement then accidentally flying it from Sylva to Glacio and actually making it... (even when I had to request a rescue from a friend)... ty for your content!
Im currently making a large flat purple surface on sylva but if you just paint the top layer and walk some distance away the color doesnt render and you see the old surface color in some spots making it very ugly so i have to remove a layer of about 3 meter and fill it back in with purple soil. Then i discovered that if i walk far away the spots that have no solid ground under the top layer like a cave or something will render as dimples or holes in the flat surface so on those places you have to dig like 10 meter down and fill it all back in. All of that just to get a colored flat surface that still shows up like that when you walk further away from your base ;\ I hate my OCD

Hi, thanks so much! it depends on where you are on the planet. Imagine the planet a a big geometric figure, At the north pole you should get a perfect flat, while if you were between poles you would get a different inclination
bro you forgot the most satisfying thing of all the Shredder especially the extra large shredder, going around finding debris and shredding them, getting that sweet sweet scrap. Oh so satisfying. I used to spend hours just going around the planets sightseeing and taking out the trash. so much fun.
i watched from youtubers from my country and they playing this.. they re so funni when playing this game bcs they sabotage each others sometimes and they fell to the hole on the planet and their screams is satisfying
A thing that satisfy me is when I finish a quest line and then obtain an item that’s very good like cole or the vtol or even unlocking the sun room because it is very difficult for me to finish the train quests
While I like finding clay, I find myself using the centrifuge for it way too much. That and Resin maybe my biggest uses of the centrifuge. Because who doesn't love hundreds of platforms?
Clean and simple base or Station for each planets takes a while to build but once get there it's awsome. I want get new solar systems it try out it be cool
I remember when i had a big rover with teh biggest scrapper you can have. I was curious to see what would happen if i were to put dinemite in there.The whole back trailer exploded incluting the scrapper I took me 40 minutes to build all the stuff back since i didnt ahve enough recources.
strangely enough, ive found that hoverboard + jetpack is faster than just a jetpack, havent tested with 2 yet... i actually dont use jetpacks though as i instead use 3 QT-RTGs, hoverboard, and portable oxygenator

This game is hands down way better than No Mans Sky. I fell into boredom after pulling 15 hours into NMS. The game had nothing cool to offer for me. You can’t build anything just harvest resources and buy stuff. That’s it. Also Astroneer looks way more beautiful than NMS IMO
I can build something with those marbles and a medium platform A. The object I could build with any platform and one of those marbles is an orb poundering table it's considered to be a joke structure. Here's why it's called the orb pondering table. It's doable the trick is getting the other planet to load. I got them to load by getting out if the rover when I'm close enough to other planet. Only done it in creative tho

Rail lines do that, but yes I agree, even something that was like the length of a extended platform for something shorter that a rail doesn't work for

Yah ammonium is not so cooking on Sylva, it's mainly found at the feet of mountains. Glacio has a lot of it instead
