Here's a theory: The astroneer system that you see when playing the game is corrupted by the simulation, and the real version is actually the pre-1.0 solar system with Terran, Barren, Arid, Exotic, Tundra, and Radiated. There is some evidence to back this up, too. All of the old planets are pretty similar to the new ones, except Novus didn't exist. That makes it interesting that the sun room logs say that Novus was the most badly corrupted, the corruption created a whole new moon. It also says that Atrox is mostly right except for the radiation storms, which may be referencing the storms on Radiated. The planet, also, was literally called Radiated. The only thing that doesn't back this up is Desolo's log, since Barren did not have a massive ravine going down the center. A counter-argument could be that the presence of alien architecture disproves this theory since it was never on the old planets. That is actually inaccurate, since in the 1.0 teaser trailer, it showed a gateway chamber being activated on Terran.
The biggest dissapointment for me was realization that you can't properly build in the sun chamber I was hoping to build such a cool base in there and it's limited

@@Ethans_Here I think they did it because it's a late game update, it allows you to fly and the missions give you great rewards like portable oxy and ct-rtg... But yeah it would be great to access it early on

To think everything you did was for nothing and that you will never be able to leave didn't sit right with me. Admittedly I got things wrong at first, thinking that I was a computer program that scientists wished were actually alive, but then I later realized I had died and the program was a lifeboat. I was kinda shocked how much of the LRD stuff I got right, but the majority was spent questioning my very existence. I never set off the fireworks, because they seemed to mock me. It was supposed to celebrate, but I could only stare with pain. It seems that many think this is April fools, either from the idea that they are a simulation or that it seems to lack sense to them. Whatever the reason, it is canon. However, despite how the story left me, I by no means didn't like it. I thought the story was very well made and executed. I also did like how they seemed to reference people blowing up Desolo, with the line about how in the sim Desolo was whole, but in reality, it had been split in down the middle.
I do agree 99% of the time it was a simulation is as bad as it was all a dream, it removes a lot of stakes, it was handled fairly well yeah, idk, nothing to be bummed about though, its already a game so adding that layer to it doesnt detract from anything, like pathologic

@Kuya I wonder if you're interested in challenges? I get ideas I couldn't possibly achieve within a year, but maybe fun for you. First idea: a music video, something upbeat like Ok Go, "Here it Goes", but you make the video using clips from Astroneer. Imagine scenes of something like the gravity ball elevator, but several of those in an array, flinging winches back and forth, keeping time with the music. This is very different from your usual style, so I don't know if you want to. But it sure would be fun!

@@KuyaGameAstroneer I haven't gone with a drill or rover yet but I suspect they will not make dirt. Also I need to see if wind or solar is a thing there. Then I need to TNT it.

I build 150 fault finders just to find out that i have to do this pentagram star shit also 150 times... fuck that i rather collected 200 fractal seeds on desolo. What a disappointment
Given the lore in some parts of the new mission, it mentions how the astroneers have been able to "jump between instances" My guess is the player character simply jumped into a different instance. Its a fun way to explain random world generation.
@@alphtheor.879 no problem! And think about the Wanderer! They appeared to us through a strange white breach, so maybe unlocking the ending allows our character to join others in their worlds or do things like the Wanderer!
Don't forget to go to a landing pad and retrieve the reward. Once you have fully competed the missions and got all rewards, you will get the "help" mission 😊🚀
@@thenerdykerbal you can use rogal to provide power to the gates on sylva, but on other planets you will need more power I'm afraid. And yes you can use EVA to help you reach the gates up in the air 😊🦊
So you came back to the update literally when nobody cares about it anymore cuz it was 2 months ago also usually curios items are rare in the update the hamsters came in but when this update came out the drop ships spawn everywhere and they always have a back pack by it containing a curios item
As much as I love this game. And have been playing it since it’s beta. It’s turned into nothing but a big fetch quest. I’m bored AF now a days. So much potential lost.
