Danny also just has subpar listening and comprehension skills… I think it’s just him being confused and not just everyone no longuet dressing fancy for dinner hahahah
I’m a costume designer. The narrator says “for morning, afternoon, or evening” because social norms required different levels of formality based on time of day. If you’ve seen pictures or footage from recent British events like royal weddings or funerals, the gray striped pant and dark gray or black cutaway coat look is morning formal menswear, the way white tie and tailcoat (or, but slightly less formal, tuxedo) is evening formal menswear. In the 1930s that sort of specificity was still practiced by non royal middle class to wealthy people.

Yea, the pants and cantilever heels were actually fairly correct. Plus, the outfit was actually really cute, and I think you could actually buy something like that pretty easily. Same with the dress after it. Not the weird climate control belt, though 😂
Am I the only one who interpreted candy for cuties as for little kids? Pretty sure that was more likely a thing than a stash of candy for pretty women.
The weird thing is that they were pretty on point with some of it for today. See through shirts are common, people have mobile phones instead of phones tied to their clothing, there are unnecessary zippers on clothing, they were right about pants and wider based heels in women's fashion, and they seemed to anticipate an increased involvement of women in the business sector while misjudging what would happen to pockets. Also big hair was popular basically from the 70-90s, so that was on point too. Pretty good considering the lack of anything they had to really judge off of, so I'm kind of wondering if they're going to be even more right in the 2040s.
"aww, what happened, future boi?" Laura is a gem, I'm glad Danny found someone for life who can just roll with whatever insane thing he randomly surprises her with :D

She's thinking, "it's finally happened. My husband is insane and I'm considering how long it will take me to book it back down the stairs and out the front door."

For some reason, this has become my Essay motivation video. I have no idea why, but every time I need to write a paper I watch this video and then I feel motivated to write. thank you for helping my grades Danny.
My favorite part was when Laura called him “Future Boy” that should have been the title.
Lmao
First we had spooky boy... then it was bad boy, finally... future boy!
Rissy Living yes! He should make a song about it too!
I hate to say this, but the belt is technically just a fanny pack
you're right and you should say it
Shouldn't you say Danny Pack?
but
Granola for the cuties
But a fanny pack doesnt have separate containers for your coins keys and candies for cuties
Technically they weren’t that far off with the belt because we have fanny packs
But they aren't exactly considered "fashionable"
Edit: welp looks like I was mistaken 🤷🏻♀️ the consensus on these replies seem to be that Danny packs are fashionable
@@fabledhorse356 there's some streetwear type ones
But weren't fanny packs considered "fashionable" before now? I thought this was just a come back.

Fun fact, that "old timey" accent in these old videos is called the "transatlantic" accent and was a completely artificial accent taught in upper class schools
I learned that from Drew's channel :D

"How futuristic do I look right now?" literally looks like Arwin from Suite Life of Zack and Cody
I’m fairly certain that they say “collars” and not “colors”

the only right one was the women wearing pants and the higher heels.

Only ok as long as both are above 18

Laura's face is like, "My husband has lost his mind."
Cuz he didnt give her any candy for cuties💔💔
I’m sure she’s known he’s lost his mind for a while
The weird thing is that they were pretty on point with some of it for today.
Laura didn’t like it cause you didn’t give her candy and that implies that you don’t think she’s cute 👀👀👀
