I have never told him this, but my high school friend's boyfriend looks so much like Danny Gonzalez that it's weird. He's grown some facial hair now so the resemblence isn't as strong, but when we were 17-18 and he still had shorter hair and no facial hair, he looked exactly like Danny. Like the hair, the nose, everything about how his face is laid out, it was almost uncanny. I never had the guts to tell him though.

I think it's because we don't see ourselves in every single angle possible in various situations while looking another way. So we don't really know what we really look like while imagining our own face. The image becomes different because of our own perception and a bit of how we want to look like.
When I created my character, I was too lazy to design my own, so I brought up my mom's younger pics and copied that, then copied my dad's brain and pasted that :/ I am my mom's doppleganger and my brother is my dad's doppleganger xD The only physical feature that I have from my dad is my jaw, must've been like "Oo that jaw's hella fine, lemme just slap that on" in the character creation screen.
