love the atmosphere. the music adds to that dream-like feel
Thanks 😊 so glad you liked it
That’s awesome filmmaking!
Thanks for your love! It was actually my first time filming super 8
this is so dope
Hey 🥺 this is so kind 🤗
The colors came out so nicely on this, I loved it
I really haven’t expected that the 500T will turn out so nice! I didn’t used a Tungsten filter at all… also it was overexposed for sure, as the camera rates this stock as 200 ASA! Brilliant exposure latitude!
Did you push any of this in the processing? There’s so much detail at night.
Hey Craig :) No pushing, no grading! This is how the super 8 movie came out from the scan. I used 500T stock and filmed with the aperture opened up all the way, at all times. Exposure latitude on this film stock is superb😊
I looove this.
Hey Stephen :) I am really glad that you like my creation 🙏🏼
Gorgeous! Colors and texture are fantastic! Yep, with reasonable lighting you can shoot all open (around T-2, depending on your lens) and you will nail exposure. The 500T has incredible latitude and looks surprisingly sharp on Super 8.
Yeah! I was absolutely surprised how sharp it looks. I’m thinking about re scanning it on a laser graphics scanner and compare the difference. I filmed this movie on an Agfa Movexoom 6.
@@jonesaway well I had the Agfa Movexoom 3000 way back in the mid 1970s. I think it had the same lens, or very similar, to the Movexoom 6. Not bad at all. Max aperture is f/1.8, but you lose light with the reflex viewfinder. So effectively you might get a T-2.3 when shooting all open. The 500T is indeed a fantastic film stock. Yes, a higher res scan reveals more detail. There is a sweet spot though. Too high a resolution only reveals film grain. If you can afford it, just try out different scanners and resolutions. Best of luck for your future film projects!
@@truefilm6991 Yeah the rangefinder cam would be a great tool to get more light on the film! I’m also really curious about 16mm reflex cams like the Bolex ones! Film is an art that really inspired me to learn more about cinematography and moviemaking. I’m really happy to see the comeback of analog cameras and film!
@@jonesaway as you might know, there are many different models of the Bolex. It's a great camera for sure, but the reflex models also use a prism as opposed to a mirror reflex and you need compatible lenses. Yes, 16mm is a fantastic format. Film does make a small comeback, but there are no new cameras for example for 16mm. Anyway: wishing you the best of luck with film. Any information you need, just holler and I'll either answer or point you to a pro who knows. Cheers.
The reflection on the puddles are beautiful!
This is sick! I shot some 500T at night, also at a fair, but it didn't come out looking half as good as this. I actually ended up removing the video from my RUclips channel because I didn't think it was good enough.
Hey man :) so hyped about your kind feedback on my little movie 🎥 I shot this film with fully open aperture on purpose, to overexpose it a little bit and take advantage of the great exposure latitude of the colour negative film :) maybe you can try it out for yourself 🙏🏼 Manual exposure and fully open aperture at night 👌🏼

what song is this?
I have it from Artlist! I will send you the name once I have found it!
THE MUSIC IS A BIT DEMENTED INNIT
It’s okay however you perceive it! That’s how art should be:)
