This a psychological phenomenon he talked about in out of his videos. I forgot what it is called but in it, almost half of the people fail to recognize the difference when the person they were interacting or seeing is suddenly changed with someone who is similar looking.

Not even going to lie I started tearing up at 7:10. I know this is just a RUclips comment but a badly managed family life has lead my brother during covid into depersonalization, derealization. Overhearing discussions with parents being mismanaged as he mentions his darker, suicidal thoughts feel I'm the only one able to help. I'm scared I'm going to lose him. A bit scared I'm too passive due to anxiety in this unaccepting environment. I hope I can mean something to someone struggling, although I've learned to keep my mental health in check to. I feel I can be proud of that in some extent. That's all.
