@Dirk Knight unless you're talking about some big ass hard drives, I think you're mistaken. Most average hard drives I see store about one terabyte. 1 petabyte is equal to 1000 terabytes. So more like 2500 hard drives.

i got the exact same thoughts of the "what if everything's only on my mind" portion of the video last year but not because i'm some genius of anything, it was just stress induced psychosis LMAO. what helped me find out it was a delusion is the thought:
"well, if everything is only made by my mind and exists only because of my consciousness, that would mean that i know everything that mankind has ever discovered and registered that i'm aware of at this moment, and ofc i'm nearly not as smart LMAO".
I would've discovered things like quantum physics, that i know are true, but those are things i could've never come up with by myself and i don't even understand, so this was irrational thinking. i found out it was fake, but i still believed it for about two weeks💀

I had a existential crisis at 16 currently I'm 17 and still have moments where I fear the meaning of life. Anyways, it took me 4 months to accept life. I'm not too religious but I believe in a force that is nature and it is not good nor evil but something we can not comprehend.

this video really helped me. I had a severe depression about solopsism after a bad lsd trip. It was months of dwelling with my mind but that thought of even if mont sure if this is real or not I might as well enjoy it helped me a lot.

I watched this as a child and being able to come back and see how I didn’t fully grasp these concepts is so fascinating to me, as I now can. Solipsistic depression is not fun, but remembering the intrigue that my child self had in these videos and remembering how absurd it was to little me that anyone for a second would think they were the only thing that existed is bittersweet. Gonna strive to remember and be like that child me.

This just hits hard. I too remember loving Vsauce just getting absolutely hyped with each new post. Some of the fun facts like, proprioception, peticor, newton's flaming laser sword or last thursdayism. But the philosophical points hit like a truck on re watch. It's a double edged sword. On the one hand I love the thought provoking questions but on the other it just feels like it erodes what little sense of self I have left. Truly bizarre.
I love how bizarre it feels when you finally understand "why" this truly works that way. Complex questions and answers like these just keeps my brain running. Hearing these facts hits hard, in mind opening way.
