I was beginning to think my recently purchased faucet had a defective sprayer and needed replacing. I took it apart, gave it a thorough cleaning, and reassembled it very tightly. No more leaks! You just saved me a bunch of time and money. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! ☺
I just scrolled past all the hose replacement videos and saw your video! After reviewing your instructions, I was finally able to stop the leaking in my kitchen hose today! Thank you so much, teppichkopf!!
Opened cabinet below the sink and water poured out on the floor -from water shooting back through the faucet housing. Not to mention the leak at the sprayer. This video saved the day! Thank you!!!
Very informative on the disassembly. On my Kohler faucet, i needed to use an Allen wrench to unscrew the inside assembly to get to the O-ring. I flipped the O-ring that was worn out on one side (from the ball joint) and then reassembled. No leak. This would be just a quick/band-aid fix to immediately stop the leak until a new the replacement O-ring is obtained and installed.
Thank you! I was just about to cry because I just self installed this faucet less than 6 months ago and was not looking forward to having to do that again.
Most of the recommendations about fixing the leaky faucet involve replacing the hose, and after spending way too much effort on that, I'm so glad I found this video. Great little tutorial, took about 10 minutes and the leak is fixed. Thanks!
As other have said thank you. I was about to go and replace my faucet as it seems they don’t even make it anymore and it was a simple tightening job. Literally one twist and you were correct it was very loose. Again thank you for making this video it saved me probably $300
OMG. That was ridiculously easy. I feel dumb that this farmgirl DIYer didn't figure that out all on her own. Thought I was going to have to replace the entire faucet. Thank you!!
Thank you soooo much was worried that I would have to call a guy in. Mine was a different version of it but stilled worked. Save me lot of time and money. Much appreciated!😊
Thanks for the video. It was the only one I could find that addressed this particular problem. I have a Pfister that's less than 2 years old with this problem intermittently. Unfortunately, the solution for your faucet did not work for mine. Pfister will send me a replacement for free, but in the meantime I get sprayed, and then I have to spend time performing the replacement. Will not buy Pfister again.
Thank you. I thought mine would be similar even though it's not a a Kohler. Not sure what it is, even though it looks very much like yours. However, when I unscrewed the faucet/sprayer, the hose recoiled. I had to figure out how to unscrew the whole faucet/turn the water off/ to get it out. Quite an ordeal for me. Man I miss my late husband, who could fix anything! Just a warning to those who think theirs look similar! I'm still trying to figure out how to get the screen off the end of faucet/sprayer, lol. Thanks for your video
@@teppichkopf It leaks, I am assuming it's the Valve. However, my first issue is figuring out the size of the Allen wrench needed to remove the setscrew. I have not found any instructions on line that tell you what the size of the Allen Wrench is needed to remove the setscrew. It being on the back of the handle and just a couple of inches from the back splash I cannot see the hole to align the Allen wrench properly. I think I may found the correct Allen Wrench and now have unscrewed it. But I don't know if it is far enough, but the handle appears to be stuck and now I have to figure out how to remove the handle and not damage it. It will not budge at all. Anyway it's very frustrating and I have stopped and left it alone for the time being. I may have to bite the bullet and hire a plumber to finish something that should be a simple task.
@@haroldprice1030 It uses 1/8 Allen wrench. I have a video of replacing the leaky cartridge. The handle pulls straight up but if it has been on for years it is a REAL pain to remove (almost like it is glued on). Here's the video, hope it helps! -- ruclips.net/video/7BVEtAGc6pQ/видео.html
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:48 🔧 The faucet sprayer issue is likely caused by a loose washer or gasket, so check and tighten them. 01:10 🔄 To remove the buttons on the sprayer, use a flat head screwdriver to pop them out from underneath. 02:00 🔩 Behind the buttons, there should be a small spring, which can lose elasticity over time. 02:47 🧼 Stretching the spring can sometimes restore its elasticity, fixing the stream switching issue. 03:40 💡 If the fix doesn't work, consider getting a new spring or a new faucet sprayer as replacements. Omg, I didn’t even need to open up, I just tightened it up then no more leaking 😀 Thank You !!! 🙏
Same! That WAS easy! I feel dumb for not thinking of it.
Me too. 😊
Came to say, same here. took 2 seconds
Great video! I thought I needed to order a new hose line from Kohler. Turns out a simple one minute cleaning solved the whole leaking problem.

Thank you. Just fixed my leaky faucet thanks to you.
Thank you! Literally a 30-second, no tool fix. Kohler site says: replace the hose. Saved me time and $.
Lol yep. All I needed to do was tighten my faucet. Thanks for the help. Thought it was for sure gonna be a bigger project.
Excellent. I used a pliers to gently tighten it back down after five years of use.
Thank you. Just saved me 60 bucks. I was about to order a new hose.
Great video to see the parts and breakdown to fix it without ordering a new hose!

Its a 1/4in allen or hex just in case that helps anyone else. O-ring is part number 34263.
You saved me a trip to Home Depot. Thanks so much!

This worked perfectly, thanks so much! Luckily found this before I pressed the purchase button on a replacement hose.
Thank you for the video. It saved me $150 plus plumber to fix as thought might have been a bad internal hose.
Len Takahashi - you would just need to replace the hose. You don't need a plumber for that replacement.

A GREAT money and time-saving DIY tip! Thank you very much!
Thank you! This lady is about to fix hers.
Thank you for this video. I was about to buy another faucet and fixed the leak by tightening it.
Just tightened mine as well. Leak is gone! Thank you!

Thank you so much. My faucet is less than a month old. The black O ring had just fallen out of place
This fixed it for me! Thank you!
Thanks!! Much appreciate your time in making this
Thanks man! Was looking around an assumed I needed to replace the gasket...nope, just little finger tightening
Thanks! Exactly what I was looking for!
Wow. Thank you so much. Worked like a charm

Thank you good sir.
Wow This was my problem also. Thank you!!!!
Took me 1.5 min. Thank you!
Nice fix, however the plastic is cracked around the ball joint on mine. need a replacement.
I have the same model but need some tips on replacing the handle parts. Do you have a video on that too? Thank you!
What's wrong with the handle?

Super big help! Thank you :)
I need that adapter from the ball end of the hose to the faucet Head! I can’t find the name of it
Yea I can't get mine off looks liek there is indents for use of a wrench or idk
The hose has leaks in it on mine:(( but this helped to learn how to clean it out.
The part you said be sure not to drop, what is that called?
I need to order a replacement haha
I called them rubber o-rings and washer. Unless you mean the whole white plastic piece.
THANK YOU! It worked!!!
Awesome, glad to hear you got it working!
Do this first! Unscrew sprayer head clean up the washer surfaces, replace rubber washer and retighten! It works! Forget hoses and collet fittings.
Thank you!!! You saved me

My faucets is dripping and I tried this but it’s still dripping! Any ideas? :(
Thank you so so so much! :')
These pull down ones always leak at this spot after few months
Kohler has a life time warranty.
Thx for this
Perfect
Mine keeps falling, my ball joint keeps falling down
Do you know model #?
The fact that so much is plastic now is terrible. The plastic just breaks over time and doesn't last as long.
Mine is leaking not even 6 months old. Terrible.
