For anyone who might need tonreplace the hot and cold cartridges, the part # OEM Delta part # is RP47422. The Delta faucet model # 413763 (Lazer ingraved on back of stem piece). When I called Delta directly they sent the wrong parts. My parts came from Amazon after an exhausting search. **Thank you for an amazing video. You saved people tons of money by being the awesome your are.

Sorry to hear about your husband. And yes, subscribe to my channel, there are lots of vids.
Thanks, Joe! Our Delta faucet manual parts breakout diagram showed two O-rings at the bottom of the spout, but when we took ours off, we only found one in the depression at the bottom and one in a depression up near the top of the neck. We tried it the way the manual showed. The upper O-ring didn't fit very well next to the lower O-ring, and sure enough it tore apart when we tried to put the spout back on. We tried it the way we found it with the second O-ring placed up in the high depression, and that did the trick. We did have to work a bit harder to get the spout off and get then get the spout back down than yours, but that may have been due to the two O-rings. Thanks again!
You bet, glad it worked out! And yes, sometimes they can be a BEAR to get off.
Have exact same facet with same like problem. Thanks for showing how to unscrew part using facecloth and channel locks.
Clear and concise, thank you so much. Off to get my o ring kit of washers ❤
You bet, and you’ve got this! ✊🏻
Thanks! (I’m 18 travelling to Uni but live at home currently) My mum has been doing a lot round the house recently and getting a lot of stuff fixed so I was hoping to help out in some way by getting a plumber in to fix this issue, but will definitely try this!
Proud of you!! You’d be surprised how much you can learn to do on your own just from watching little videos like this.
Thank you sir you have been extremely helpful to me!!!!! 😃
You bet. 👍🏻
Thank you great video just needed to confirm my instinct on the grease part of fixing my kitchen faucet
Awesome, glad it helped. 👏🏻
Thanks for the great video. Delta folks didn't quite understand my questioning as to what the part was called or even if it was a delta faucet. Pictures were sent and they indicated that it didn't look lke their faucet. After several emails back and forth, they decided to send me a single "O" ring that they hoped would help. They also sent me a link to a you tube video that showed how to replace the O ring but, that was for a different faucet. They were gracious enough to send me the O ring at no cost which was nice of them. As a side note the O ring on their site was listed at .........$ 6.45 + shopping.
Kind of them to send you that O-ring, at $6 they’re pretty proud of that thing lol. I’ve got a kit with tons of them that I bought years ago, and I don’t think it cost much more than that. And I know they’re probably doing the best they can on the phone. Hopefully between them and the video you’ll be able to get it taken care of. 👍🏻
This is a lifesaver! Thank you so much!!!
You bet, glad it helped. 👍🏻
Thank you for your excellent, yet clear and simple instructions. This should be a snap to fix, but at first it looks like a complete mystery. BTW Your faucet is exactly the same as mine.
You bet, nothing to it really. You’ve got this. 👍🏻
Thanks dude this is a great video

Thank you for the great video. Couldn't believe when I clicked on it and saw that I have the exact same faucet.
When I started to un-screw that base piece, I noticed that it was loose. I could turn it by hand. So, I just tightened it back down by hand and my leak stopped. I now know though what to do, thanks to you, if it starts leaking again.
Awesome, glad to hear it helped you. 👍🏻

Thank you so much for your video. I live in an apartment building where our super refuses to do any repairs. My tape is old and its starting to leak pretty badly. I know how to change the washers but wasn't sure about that particle stop. Thank you again.

Hi thank you for this video it helped me fix a faucet instead of having to get a new one.
Awesome, glad it helped!
Thanks, you saved me a lot of money! (Simple) makes sense to me!

Great explanation!
Glad it helped. 👍🏻
Terrific! Thank you!

My Moen utility sink in the laundry room was doing this. Except when you swivel the faucet to the right the collar was already loose. The extra play in faucet pretty much helped to wear out the o-ring. Its good as new now.
Thanks so much!
This is so helpful, thank you for posting, will see if this works, ‘live in an old apartment and the sink is so annoying.
Glad to hear it. 👍🏻

Thank you for sharing your experience. Could you use lithium grease if you don't have plumber's grease?
You could, but it’s not ideal… lithium grease is a petroleum product and will degrade the rubber sooner.
Very good video! Do you have any suggestion for how to remove the spout which appeared to be stuck to the base?
Yes, sometimes they can be pretty stubborn. You just have to be patient, and slowly muscle them free.
My kitchen faucet works now. No Maintence Department call needed. $2.97 for #13 O-Rings (12-pack). $1.97 for Plumber’s Grease. 6-7 minutes.
Thank you much !!
You bet, glad it was helpful for you! 👍🏻
@@papajoeknows8355 would it be as effective without the plumbers grease? Would thread seal tape work as well??
@@radrianmgargurevich7826 no, for this you want plumber’s grease

Thank you so very much for posting this. I appreciate your time and effort. What are the other parts to replace if tou want to do a complete rebuild ? Thanks.
Glad to hear it was helpful. Eventually the spout will start dripping, and that means it’s time to replace the valve cartridge (there’s one underneath each handle). Also very easy to do. 👍🏻
@@papajoeknows8355 where can I find this info ? Do you have a model # for this faucet? It leaks also at the base of the high arc. I connect a portable washer to this faucet. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am a single lady and a plumber came out here and gave me a quote for $$$$$$.
@@dla872 It’s a Delta faucet, I don’t know the model, but that doesn’t matter… you always want to take the cartridge up to your home improvement store to match it up. FYI, the leak is USUALLY the one on the left side, because that’s the hot side, which gets used most often. Here’s a link to a video on a Delta cartridge replacement (it’s a bathroom sink, but the change out is still the same. Again, very very simple to do.

You’re welcome, glad to hear it! 👍🏻
Thank You Soo Much.

@Papa Joe Knows, thanks for the video / I have replaced the O ring as instructed but I still have a leak 😢/ any suggestions on what could possibly be wrong? My leak appears to come from the same location and I have successfully lubed and reinstalled the fitting.
I would replace one more time… replace the o-ring again. Be sure to use plumber’s grease and not Vaseline or something like that. Also when you push the spout back down in place, be very careful that it is perfectly vertical… if it’s a little off, it can wind up pinching the o-ring just enough to cause it to still leak. Beyond that, it may simply be time to replace the faucet itself. Keep me posted.
Thank you so much
You bet. 👍🏻
Thank you! I am going to fix my mother-in-law's sink. We have a small-town hardware store here, & I'm certain the owner can advise me as to which o-rings I need.
Absolutely, just bring the o-ring in, and they can easily match it up. Be sure to grab some plumber’s grease as well. You’ve got this. 👌🏻
Thanks
You bet. 👍🏻
Excellent video. It is really scary to find out something like this goes wrong around home. Too expensive to call the specialist.
You’d be surprised how much you can easily do on your own. 👍🏻
Thanks🔥🔥🔥
tks
You bet 👍🏻
I love this but wonder why do I need a new ring when I could put the grease on the old one or what’s the difference? Thanks in advance brother
Tempting as it is to re grease it and put it back (and it may work for a while), it’s always best to replace it… they can be worn, almost imperceptibly, or have the tiniest nick that causes them to leak. And the truth is, everyone needs an assorted little box of O-rings in the garage that you know you have but can’t find.
Check this first: In my case, I thought it was the base that was leaking, but luckily looked closely with a flashlight and turns out the irrigator (spout) was clogged up causing a leak down the stem to the base. Just had to unscrew irrigator and clean. No more leak.
Thank you sir.
You bet. 👍🏻
