Good video House Doctor Ray. Good tip on contacting the manufacture to check on replacement hose via the lifetime warranty. I did so and Moen is sending the replacement kit now. They didn't ask for a receipt. When I get it, I'll look back at your video. Thank you.
Is there a way to clean the inside of the faucet's neck before putting the hose back in? This is a great video, it helped so much, thank you. I am saving it for future reference, thank you again.
Hopefully it is not jammed in there. Push from the bottom while twisting it, you'll eventually get it out. On mine I can pull the arm off of the fixture with firm upward pressure.
I have a slightly different model, pull out vs. Pull down but the connecetions on both ends are nearly the same. However, after I did the quick disconnect underneath, I tried to pull the hose out on top but it's getting stuck. I tried pulling it out from the bottom too but it gets stuck that way.
@@ihuang0922 yes. My handyman tied a wire to the new hose & threaded it down through the hole. But someone just told me to try to find the Allen screw on the back of the faucet & lift it up to see how to thread the hose through
Try needle nose pliers, it can't be that far in there. Or try pushing it from the bottom. Don't try to force it. Push gently, if it doesn't go, twist it a bit and try again. Use some bad words and keep trying.
Look all around, even in the back on the plate against the counter. It's usually very faint. Moen and Delta both have faucet identification tools on their websites. They'll ask questions like; number of handles, finish, etc.
My hose collapsed and cracked at the bottom of the loop. So I added a loose rubber sleeve over that section, below the weight, to preserve the curve in the loop.
@1:50 you disconnect the quick release hose. I’m having trouble keeping mine to stay. When I turn in the water it shoots off. It was good for a few week now I can’t get it to stay on.
You could try a lubricant. If you don't have food safe grease try putting a little dish soap. When you push it on you should hear a little click. The sound let's you know you pushed it on far enough. If it's defective call Moen; they'll likely send a new one for free.
I moved into a house and I need to remove the hose. The previous hose is so frayed I can easily take it out but when I attempt to put the new hose in there’s a long bronze tube that it went through and the end of the hose can’t go through it. Can I remove the head? Or do I need to remove the bronze rod?
Look on the back near the bottom there may be an Allen screw. The faucet may be slightly misaligned with the hole in the sink blocking the hose. ruclips.net/video/fAZgdwYSpd4/видео.html
Hello, I have an Price Pfister pull down faucet. The hose was leaking so I tried to remove it and replace. It was hard to remove the hose underneath the sink at the connection as it was not a quick release but more of a snap in type of connector. I must have broke something getting it off finally. When i put the new hose in the white connector at the end of the spray hose would not click or snap in underneath the sink so it pops off. Any ideas on how to repair without replacing the entire faucet?
Price Pfister made many different types of connections. Sounds like you have a type 4. Check out this page that explains how to disconnect and reassemble each type. www.pfisterfaucets.com/parts-support/troubleshooting/support-articles/pull-down-pull-out-hose
All hoses are not the same No worries. Moen has a great tool on their website to narrow it down significantly. www.moen.com/customer-support/identify-my-product
My hose isn't like that. Where it attaches to the sprayer. It has a large socket looking attachment that fits loosely on a male end of the hose. That "socket" screws into the spray head. Do I need a new hose? Water will not spray properly
My sprayer came off in the hose fell down in the cabinet. Is there something inside the faucet cause my hose keep hitting something as I feed it through
There are little lips where the pieces of the faucet neck screw together. If the hose comes all the way out the bottom disconnect it and feed it through from the sink side. If it won't come out the bottom you'll just have to keep trying from the bottom to get it out. Keep backing it up and twisting slightly to try and get it out. Good luck!
How can I attach adapter to use portable washing machine. Which adapter and where to attach. I hate this faucet. In my rent apt. they installed this faucet, now I don't know how and which adapter to use for this non traditional faucet
On most of them you can unscrew the round aerator in the center (it's about the size of a quarter). Take that to the hardware store and get and adapter to attach a garden hose.
@@HouseDoctorRay When you unscrew it to put the adapter. I don't pull what's inside(the long thin cable inside the neck. I just unscrew the head spray/head and put the adapter quick release and attach the portable machine hose. Right? Thank you.
My new hose is leaking from the faucet connection. I looked and it has two o-rings inside. This leak wasn't happening before. Did I just get a bad hose??
Or it didn't seat correctly. Try disconnecting it and cleaning the inside with an old t-shirt. A little bit of lube on the o-rings may help. I always use Vaseline.
So, I made a huge mistake. When I tried to put the hose back, I did not watch the video again, and I slid the hose up, from under the counter, and not down. When I realized my mistake, since the hose would not thread into the nozzle, i.e. I slid the wrong end of the hose up. When I tried to slide the hose down, this time the right end, it just got stuck and would not slide completely through. Did my first mistake cause the hose to get stuck? If so, how do I rectify it? Do I need to open up the faucet? I really do not want to do that. This is so frustrating because I never even asked for this faucet. The building purchased them for us, and I am stuck repairing it myself. Any advice you can provide would be helpful.
Just keep going back and forth twisting the hose slightly each time it should eventually get past the stuck point. If you can push it all the way out the top try wrapping electrical tape around the lip between the hose and fitting. Just make sure the tape is tight and won't come loose inside.
@House Doctor Ray Out of curiosity, what does the electrical tape do? It seems like there is something blocking the tube because when I push the hose up, I can hear it bumping into something. I did it without the electrical tape. I tried your method of slowly twisting it, and it worked. Thanks.
