Hey Steve, I just received my speaker pods and I was a bit apprehensive when I seen Advan’s products come from China. I just assumed Advan was an American company not Australian. It is great for me in Canada because there was no import/brokerage fees. Once I got them out of the box I was very pleased with the product and the Daytona Blue is spot on 100% witch is not the easiest colour to match. Thanks again for the product reviews and install videos, you have saved me a great deal of time and money not to mention headaches. I will be ordering more parts from Advan for sure. I bet their sales have increased very well thanks to your videos, good on ya. Keep up the good work!!

Thought I would pull them in the summer but I havent taken them off yet.....the speakers sound good and the vents work well so no need to pull them. Some of the best money I haven spent.
Now I went back to the drawing board and let me tell you that I tried every speaker at the local sound shop today...... Kenwood Hertz JL Memphis kicker the speakers would fit however once you try to attached the lid forget it too big too small..... However I did find one solution which was test fitted over and over and those are the Memphis M-class 6.5+ (plus) what you have is a speaker crossover base plate with lids you can mount on top were the circular seem is at mounts over that perfectly and gives speaker cone more of an area to operate in.
Wow man thank you for doing some homework on this. Those Memphis speakers look awesome. Nice frequency range ...would like to se them handle a little more power than 50 watts though wwith running an amp. I found that running an amp is essential if you want to really hear these with your fairing speakers. Did you install these and run them down the road? How was the sound quality?
Do you have a video on how you installed these speaker pods? I just installed my Advanblack lowers this last weekend but I just ordered the ones with just the storage compartment. If I decide later down the line to add these pods, would it be compatible swap out to just add the speaker pods?
You will need to either connect them with the front speakers and run them in series which I dont really recommend because you are splitting the power now or get a 4 channel amp so you have a front and rear channel ...then you can run the front to the fairing and the lowers to the rear.
I just ordered lowers with the speaker pods. What speakers did you install. Trying to sort through what would work best. I have the Rockford Fosgate system for a Road King.
If you have the fosgate system I would stick with that and match them up with whatever you already have. You say you have the fosgate system for a RK...where are the 6.5's mounted now or is that what you have to put in the lowers? The fosgate speakers dont normally run much bigger than 55 - 75 watt speakers and that matches their amp...you dont want to throw in a 300 watt PRV speaker and not have enough power to push them...can you tell me more about your system so i can help you better?
@@sikbaggers it’s a 400 watt system that came with speakers for the saddlebag lids. I have purchased the Advanblack lowers with speaker pods with the intention of adding the 6.5 speakers to the pods. I just ordered the lowers and the king tour pack on Friday and it’s due to be here around the end of March. I live in northern Illinois and my bike is at the dealership in storage and hope to get out about the time my parts arrive.
steve i have a question maybe you can help, at least i hope so. i have a 2007 special edition firefighter red ultra classic, it currently does NOT have lowers and i would love to get a set for my bike. however harley does not make them per my local dealership for that bike, which i find crazy to believe. do you know where i can find a set of lowers for my bike either painted or primed? thanks a million in advance your videos are amazing, follow you on facebook and youtube.
Advanblack has lowers but we dont have that paint...you can get them ready to paint though if you can find someone who can shoot that color for you... 86 to 13 lower fairings will work on all touring model bikes with a crash bar

Yes there is about an inch or so, my best guess, behind the speaker. That will also be determined by the size of the magnet on your selected speaker. I had just seen today on Advan Black that they do sell just the hardware kit..and its a bout 20 bucks cheaper than the Hogworkz kit I had seen before. Any reason why the boom audio speakers wont fit? I have a 2019 RGS with the older style 97-13 lower fearings (looks better in my opinion) i also purchased a set of boom audio stage one speakers for the pods but that was months ago, i dont see why these pods wouldn’t accept the 6.5 speaker
the speakers will...the grills wont..you will need to run the spacers we provide with the pods now to pull the speaker out some and then add your grills.

Hey Paul..te boom speakers outer housing is bigger than normal speakers and makes it very difficult for it to seat properly and the grills wont seat all the way down either. We have used 1/2 inch spacers from ebay that you put in first then add the speaker and grill...that works
It sets beside it...there is a small gap between the MC and the lower maybe about 3/4" to an inch. I have uploaded the best pic I have on my phone...look inside the red square you can see the MC and where the lower falls out by it. i65.tinypic.com/awdxuf.jpg
behind the speaker is an access panel you need to pry the panle off, access the screw holding the rear cap and the remove it. Then you can see the 3 screws on the back holding the pod on.
Will the Rushmore lower fairings fit on a 2007 street glide FLHX?! I was just on their website and I shopped parts with my year make and model and it’s saying the 14+ Rushmore lowers will fit my bike?? The pre Rushmore are only available in 4 colors and my black cherry ain’t one of them?! I’m thinking about getting some lowers with speaker adapters to run some mid bass speakers and I just wanna make sure the 14+ Rushmore WILL FIT like the website is saying… I have the stock crash bar with highway pegs it’s not chopped or anything like that I’m just confused right now lol
So were fazing out the pre rushmore and only those few colors are left. The rushmore lowers will fit on your bike as long as you have the full size engine guards.
I ordered the lower faring vivid black problem is I never got a tracking number when I confronted them never got a return phone call or email had to do a bank dispute to get my money back pretty disappointing this guy doing the videos actually works for advanblack his phone number is listed when I called the numbers on the website and this guy answers I recognize his voice and asked him if he The one doing the video on RUclips he said yeah strange shit
I run a Full Throttle battery with the same cranking amps as a stock battery with 3 amps. Most batteries will keep up with the amps while riding with no issues. If you are parking lot blasting you may think about getting a second battery for a tourpack
run it down your frame, put some black heat shrink over it to cover the wire and over to your lower. You have a couple of choices from here..you can go under the speaker pod and up into the back side of the pod or before you install the lower on the back side of the lower with the cap off, right next to the crash bar you can drill a small hole the size of your wire. The back cap will hide this hole. You take your wire from your frame to the hole and poke it through. leave yourself enough wire to work with on the other side of the pod so you can wire the speaker up. Just put the excess wire in the cup as you mount the speaker.
The sound is great provided you run an amp and balance the two sets using the gain. You are naturally going to hear the fairing speakers more unless you equal them out.
The good thing about having a special is that your are probably already flashed for 4 channels. 2 front and 2 rear. In your fairing you will see a small plug that has blue wires coming from it that go to nothing, should be capped off. Those are your rear channel speakers. The amp that is built in to the stock radio is very small....so adding an amp and then playing the balancing game is the best bet to get you to be able to hear all speakers,. If you find you are not getting any signal from the rear output then you need to have the radio flashed for 4 channels.
You dont have to have one but I would suggest getting one. Your fairing speakers are pointed right at your face and these are pointed at your knees. You will never hear the lowers over the fairing. If you have an amp you can adjust the gain down on the fairing and even it out more.

I bought a 2020 tahitian teal street glide. Love the bike and color but harley only sales the touch up pens in tahitian teal. Had I known that I never would have got that color. But it's a 2020 and with the money I've already put in the bike I'm stuck with it unless I change the the color of the bike after I buy the lower fairings and the tour pack. I'm disgusted with this situation! I talked to advanblack, hogworks and a few others and single handedly caused them to remove them offering color matched parts in tahitian teal. I can shop with harley though for the parts. It's bullshit that tahitian teal is 1 of 2 colors they dont offer pints and up in there paint. I wish I knew of a shop that could color match it but harley wont even give up the color codes. If I'm wrong and someone can help I'll cashapp you for a legit reference no bs...
Adding the lowers with speaker pods and an amp really improved the sound of the bike for me as the rider. The passenger doesnt hear much more but man I could hear a clear difference. Also changing out the stock speakers in the fairing helped. I added dual 6x9 lids in the rear for the passenger and that made an overall huge difference. But now I need to upgrade my amp. The amp I had is just not enough for 8 speakers.
Hello everyone on lower fairing it can difficult to get a set off speakers that match the cut out. What I found are the Pioneer TS- D1602R they fit perfectly. You can pick up at Amazon for under 100 dollars with a 3 year warranty.

Bring everyone current on this comment here the Pioneer TS- D1602R do fit perfectly however when you try to install the speaker cover it does not line up so you have to be a little creative mount the speaker to the Pod first and then the speaker cover to the speakers, this requires a little creativity.....

no, they cannot, no vented lowers will work with that breather
06 street glide install on right side does rear master cylinder go inside fairing or does it set beside fairing thanks

How do you remove speaker pods on the 2016 CVOs with liquid cooling? Need to check/add coolant but don't know how to remove the pods? Lol

the sticker was aded for the video...it will not come with a sticker on the parts...you may get one in the hardware but it will not be on the lowers.
