Thank you for another perfect install instruction video Jay. I would like to thank Samantha , Rick and the rest of the behind the scene Volunteer Audio Team. Sound Reserve , Hertz Speakers with power Power amp.
My new system looks and sounds PERFECT. AAAAA+++++
Thank you so much!
Jay
I hope you know just how appreciated you are for your videos. I know there is a lot that goes into it, and as someone who likes to do his own work I want to say, thank you.
I'm planning on calling y'all soon to discuss an overhaul for my bike.
Thank you so much for the encouragement!
Well done Jay.Have looked at all the others you have released today and they are very well done. Thanks as it’s going to make my installation so much easier.
Thank you, we are adding more soon
Jay. I got My speaker kit installed tonight. Your video made it so easy. Great fit. I love em. Thanks again for all you do with motorcycle audio. Stuart. 👍👍
Thank you so much!
@@volunteeraudio tell you what I did. I Put a very tiny bit of black window caulk on the socket and the screws. Made it easy to reach in and catch the bolt without dropping the nut in the lower. Maybe you can let your customers aware of this trick. Really helps. Stuart.
Great video Jay. Very interesting and informative. These should sell well.
Thank you for watching!
good piece Jay
Thank you!
I watch your videos all the time I’ve learned a lot from you. I have a 2022 Harley Davison ultra Limited I would like to do some upgrade and my music. Where do I start? I would like to start off with a small budget but still get good quality sound.
Give us a call at 1-844-30AUDIO and we can go over options and pricing with you
Can you post a picture of the Kentwood pods and the metra pods to compare them thanks
We have videos using both, and pictures of both on our site
Hey Jay, have you ever seen that the SV165 Neo doesnt fit perfectly in the Metra Adapters? I want to install the SV´2 instead of old JBL speakers but the basket of the neos is a little bit to big for the hole (or the hole is a little bit to small for the sv´s). Thanks for all your videos. Great work at all.
Line up all 4 screws loosely then tighten each one and it pulls right in
Hi Jay I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I have recently decided to remove my tourpak on my 16 UL. I am satisfied with the stock sound I now have and want to install lower speakers to replace my tourpak speakers. I do my own wrenching. Would you have 2 stock takeoff speakers for sale as well as the lower pod kit? If not, I may consider an upgrade. Thanks again for a great video!
We do not sell anything that we can not warranty, most speakers we remove could be damaged or blown, thank you for watching!
@@volunteeraudio Thanks for your prompt reply
Whats the mounting depth on the reservoir side?
I am not sure, the hertz neo series fits no problem
Hey Jay, do you know if the Ground Zero yellow basket 6.5s will fit in those lower adapters?
I think they will but we do not sell or use ground zero
Is PPI going to make a mid only speaker like this anytime soon?
Not that I’m aware of
Does your wiring harness run the fairing speaker and the lower speaker in parallel for a 2-ohm load? Will a soundigital tolerate that difference if it's an 800.4 4ohm?
Our wiring will make the front channels a 2ohm load when running 4ohm upper and lower speakers. You should consult your amplifiers manual to make sure it is 2 ohm stereo stable. All of the amps we sell are but we do not sell sound digital at Volunteer Audio
Jay, I have an existing Rockford Fosgate 4 speaker kit with their 400w amp. I have been looking at the Hertz lower fairing speaker kit you offer. Will that kit/speakers work as a plug and play with my existing set up?
Your amp is not as large as we recommend but yes our kit will be plug n play to it
@@volunteeraudio what size of amp would you recommend? And what could I expect if I installed the extra speakers with my existing amp?
Uh? What was the tool you used to screw down the speaker grills?
Milwaukee 48-32-2390

Hi Guys, great video (like all of your videos). Helped me a lot when i installed the Metra adapters. But just a short question. I moved my speakers (JBL Club622) from the Topcase (now removed) into the Metras. The bass in the Topcase was ok (what you can expect from such a speaker) but now in the lower fairing it has totaly gone. This can't just be due to the volume of the housing, or what do you think? The housing is not completely sealed, is that the problem? Do you have any tips on how I can get some bass? Almost nothing comes out of the fairing as it also has a small closed housing. Thanks a lot for your answer in advance. Regards from germany
My Setup:
Ultra Limited 2015 (now transformed into SG Look)
Sony XAV-AX 7000 Headunit
JBL Stage-3 627 in the Fairing
ESX QS-Two for the 627
JBL Club622 in the lower Fairing (former TopCase)
ESX QM-Two V2 for the 622
You do not get good bass response from lowers due to airspace and the liquid cooled lowers are not sealed either, we use a hertz sv165neo mid bass in lowers so that we do not add more treble so we can hear more of the bass that does play. Tourpack locations have great mid bass because they use the tourpack as air space.
@@volunteeraudio Thanks a lot for the quick repsonse. I only can use a LPF at 250Hz max. (no full DSP on Board). What do you think about running the SV165 Neo just with 250Hz max.?
@@schwarzmuckele we do not use a lpf on these, we use a high pass at roughly 60 hz
Do you think it would make sense to use speaker baffles for the lower fairings?
When I go to the link under vehicle information it says does not fit twin cooled models. Is this the correct link I’m wanting for a 2015 street glide cvo so need twin cooled
We can help build the perfect package for you, call us at 1-844-30AUDIO tomorrow
Anyone has done this and got some vibrations from the inside of the lower fairing at high volume and bass?
Check all your hardware for tightness, also the linkage for the vents can rattle with a lot of bass, it is not common to have rattles but normally it is loose or missing bolts
