I just installed the HD14-STG2 Rockford Fosgate amp and fairing speakers in my Road Glide Special. Would I be able to run these Hertz speakers to that amp? Or would I have to buy another amp?
Hertz now manufactures a wiring kit in conjunction with Volunteer Audio, we developed the wiring and worked with Hertz USA to have it manufactured both for Volunteer Audio and their new plug n play kits they will be offering to other dealers. We have a close working relationship
Hey Jay. You do great work and great videos. Keep up the good work. I ordered the set from you because I can not buy it in Germany at the moment. Many greetings from good old Germany
Hey Jay, Got everything delivered, and started tearing the bike down last night. I'm super excited to hear how it turns out. Could you please verify the 3/4" hole location for the wire please. I spoke with Ricky yesterday, and I thought he said about 3" down from the mounting plug. Is that correct? One thing I wish Hertz would do is to add the brass inserts to speaker mount in lieu of using the coarse threaded screws. Maybe on v2 of the kit 🤷🏻♂
The speaker mounting holes have plenty of depth for coarse screws, the grill portion has limited depth and so brass inserts allowed more weight handling without stripping
So will these work in a 19 cvo road glide? And is there a plug in harness as I don’t want to cut wires and my factory speakers have two plugs (4 wires) per speaker.
Quick question! Can I order the cut kit and try to cut with the jig on a previous cut lid that was cut with the jig from the precision power that was sold as a stage 4 for a 23 road glide? I like the grill/enclosure more than the previous hertz branded mesh enclosure
Hi Jay, i got the today deliverd in Germany. Thanks a lot. In the Package there are no wire harness Like in the Parts List describe. Are you available by Mail or WhatsApp? Thanks and Regards Martin
You only purchased the cut in kits, the harnessing is sold separately. Here is a link to it volunteeraudio.com/product/backbone-and-rear-saddlebag-quick-disconnect-harnesses-to-add-rear-speakers-on-2014-2021-harley-motorcycles
@@volunteeraudio You're right. I was a little confused because the cable kit is listed in the enclosed instructions. I'll have to see if I can improvise quickly. By the way, shipping to Germany went really well. Too bad I don't live near there. Would love to come and visit you. The subject of audio on the Harley is not so well known in Germany. There is also no possibility to buy or look at something here. Keep up the good work.
Bought my system from u last night. Can't wait to get it installed.
Thank you
Great video Jay. You make it look so easy. Thanks for all you do for the biker audio community.
Thank you so much!
Very informative, I won’t even have to revisit it during the install….
Thank you!
Great video
Great video.. i purchased my add on kit and the drop in subwoofers and cant wait to get them installed.. keep up the great work
Thank you so much!
Jay thanks you made this bike, my bike sound so amazing and a total new look
Thank you so much!
Great looking cut kit! I’m glad they upgraded to brass threaded inserts. Amazing video and product 🤟🏽
Thank you for watching!
Looks great, can’t wait for my order to arrive!
Thank you
Did you ever find those bass ports for the bottom of the bags.
Precision power has not started selling them independent of the drop in subwoofers
Great looking grills! Wish they were interchangeable with the Fosgate kit.
Sorry but they are not
I can decide which speakers to get can you do a video on the differences between them.
It’s hard to hear differences in a RUclips video, you can call us at 1-844-30AUDIO for help deciding or visit us to hear each option side by side
Very detailed. Can i use the Ground Zero GZCF 69SPL 6x9 Coaxial Speaker with this cut in kit?
No idea, we do not use ground zero here
I just installed the HD14-STG2 Rockford Fosgate amp and fairing speakers in my Road Glide Special. Would I be able to run these Hertz speakers to that amp? Or would I have to buy another amp?
That system comes with a 4 channel amp so it should be capable of adding these rear 6x9’s
Will these 6x9 speakers fit in the saddle bags if the Precision Power drop in Sub is already installed? 2020 Harley Ultra Limited.
They only fit with our xd modified enclosures
I have cut my lids with the Boss cut in. Can I redo it with the Hertz set up now or will I need new lids since I already have sx690s?
You will need new lids, the boss kit has a much larger hole
Does Hertz have their own wiring kit or do they use someone else's?

Would this be a nice match to the Electra glide kit I purchased from you?
We can go over your previous purchase and make sure, give us a call at 1-844-30AUDIO
Shrink wrap protects very well.
I guess it depends on the thickness
Good video. Thanks!
Thank you for watching!

ruclips.net/video/Pg2ozj9fTK0/видео.html watch toward the end and I go over where to drill the hole

Will the precision power 6 x 9 work with this kit
Yes
So will these work in a 19 cvo road glide? And is there a plug in harness as I don’t want to cut wires and my factory speakers have two plugs (4 wires) per speaker.
These only work for lids that do not have factory speakers, American hardbags makes adapters that we stock to adapt the 5x7” boom audio lids to 6x9’s
@@volunteeraudio thank you. Do you sell wiring harness adapters so I don’t have to cut my factory wires?
@@JohnJohnson-qg6wk we do offer full plug n play solutions so no wiring is cut

This cut kit uses a smaller cut out and will not work on previously cut lids
Your link is broken for the cut kit
Checking it now
No need for silicone?
No

Will this cut kit work with the precision Power mas.692ht speakers?
It should, we would normally use the precision power cut kit with these
