    Exactly what I was looking for! I couldn’t for the life of me find a recipe using the Mexican cheeses (I felt it would melt better for a queso than other block cheeses). Thank you so much for sharing.

    Yes! This is exactly what I'm looking for. Simple without onions or tomatoes. Definitely going to try this for the Super Bowl!

    great recipee, i used a double boiler and also shredded my cheese. i also grilled my chiles, blackened them, peeled and diced. came out awesome.
    half n half is a great use and queso fresco is a must

    Thanks! I bought queso fresco at the grocery store because a nice queso sounded good. Never made it before but thanks to this video I'm about to make some great queso for my sweetheart and I :)

    Thank you, for posting this recipe; we needed a recipe for a real Queso.
    Side note: Land O lakes American Cheese from the deli is good.
    Exactly how much Queso does this make? I have a 1.5 quart crock pot, I was wondering if this would work out.

    HI. IF YOU COOK THIS IN THE SLOW COOKER DO YOU COOK IT ON LOW HEAT FOR 2 HOURS. ALSO AFTER IT COOLS DOWN CAN YOU PUT IT IN A VACUUM SEAL BAG AND FREEZE IT OR IS THERE A BETTER WAY TO STORE IT.

    I haven’t tried this recipe yet however when I tried a different recipe the cheese must have burnt and was rubbery Anyone explain what I did wrong? Gonna try this recipe and see if that’s what the problem was!!

    The Queso fresco kept getting clumpy for me. Would that have anything to do with the milk I was using or the amount of time I cooked it for?

      I think it may have been the temperature. Once it is all done, keep it at a low temp and stir from the bottom often so it doesn’t stick.

    How long did u cook it for?

      Cook it on low heat and keep stirring so it doesn’t stick and burn. It should all be melted within 10 minutes.
