"Keep in mind Chris mic is only at 2%" 😂😂 signal levels are not measured in percentages, and even if they were you would have no idea unless you were the fucking sound guy 😂😂😂😂
I'm not saying that he had exactly 2% volume, but his mic is much quieter than Paul's. Search the rock am ring 2005 concert and listen to the (sic) part where - you can't kill me. or "pulse of the maggots" everything will become clear to you
As for the Rock am Ring show, I am quite positive the front of house PA had Chris's vocal's at a standard level as opposed to what we hear in the video. That doesn't even make any sense why it wouldn't be. You can hear him very clearly in every other show, why wouldn't you in that one. It's just the recording. And the reason why they setup a boom mic and Paul is doing backup during that show is because of the fact Clown was not there, and this was/is a band with "musicians" in it, and Paul knowing how to do a lot of Clowns backup vocals filled in. When Paul was alive I think they usually had a boom mic set up most of the time anyways, it would just be positioned on the side of Joey's drums more often. But with this show because of the fact he was going to be doing backup they moved it.
The mix is off in this video probably probably because the mix we hear wasn't made for broadcast, or was made for it but Chris vocals were just set too low (very likely if it's mixed by some TV guy in a remote truck)
2:52 those lows holy shit!
Paul sounded like a lizard with a deep voice, that's why I loved him
His growls and gutturals were so good especially in the early days
it's insane that they didn't hire someone who can both scream and play percussion. shawn is good, but without chris and paul it's not even close
Well I mean clown founded the band man. He wasn’t hired
@@SurfingBackwardsyeah. As weird and out there as clown is, there is no slipknot without him.
@@ryanpool5402 exactly
@@ryanpool5402But he does nothing!!! I really dislike him
Not even a proper musician
Tattered and torn?? literally clown doing the best backing vocals in the discography
paul gray is THE goat
I think paul gray vocals is better than tortilla man
Amen 🙏
@@gamingspartan225 what do you mean, im not praying
@@SmileID09 i didn't mean it as praying, I'm just agreeing with you
@@gamingspartan225 ok
Definitely
I love how inhuman he sounds, almost dinosaur like
We love and miss you, Paul!!!
I enjoy hearing grays vocals for this but they did my man chris dirty lowering his mic like that
Great video!!! Wished you could’ve added his growls from Rock Im Park 2000 specifically The song Scissors and also London 2002 Disasterpiece .
Where does the information come from that Chris's microphone is exactly 2% volume?
There is none but it’s barely audible
Just speculation because it is basically impossible to hear
Back at it again with another banger keep it up brother 🤙
WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT MFKR VIDEO
From official mfkr youtube channel
@@omnipresent174thank you!!
Chris best vocals
why was Chris mic so low?

i have a 1996 concert where he uses backing vocals. Let me know where I can send it to you.
Can you send it to me?
Do you mean just send without trade? it would be great bc i have nothing to trade
:3
I never knew Paul sang clean vocals on The harmony with Corey
That was a real revelation! He harmonised brilliantly too!
much better than tortilla 🙏
I wonder what would vman sound like if he did what Paul did when he did his vocals?
Given Vman is Bri''sh, it'd probable sound like: "An' the royne will kill us owl, we threow ahhselves agaynst the wooorl"
How did I never hear that harmony in Psychosocial? Somehow it made the song hit way better for me.

Yeah I'm guessing they put his mic back there cause they didn't want a mic stand at the front where Jim Mick and Corey are roaming around
